Online dating is crap. Today i have deleted my profile off all sites i was registered on.
After online dating for 18 months i am still without anyone even vaguley interesting.

Instead im going to just see what happens. I do not happen to meet many men in my day to day life ( read, i dont meet any)

But im attempting to going back to basics, trying to go to the pub for a drink, or talking to people in the park.

Anyone want to join me and a real life attempt to meet men? ( or knows where any nice ones are hiding?)

Can I ask a random question on here? What the hell do you actually do on dates? My ex and I were childhood sweethearts so did that whole teenage thing of hanging out in a pack with other couples - we were together for 6 years and i've now been single for nearly a year and want a bit of fun! But I've have never been on a date :-) Is there a rule book somewhere?

I am 43, got 4 kids, one sn too. Didnt phase him a jot.

He has already planned to take ds2 for his first legal pint. . . . . Ds is 9 lol

He is 39 no kids, treats mine like his own tho. I only wish i had met him sooner, but at least we are together now :)

That's pretty much it. Anything else and you are overthinking it.

Personally I just sit in pubs and resturants and just chat. If you casnt talk to esch other for an hour or two there's not much chance of a relationship developing

I havent tried online dating, I was going to until I read on quite a few threads "not for the faint hearted" so that kind of put me of.
I hadnt been on a date for 14 years till I met this lovely man at college and we saw each other quite a few times over the summer but then he became really distant, havent a clue if I'll see him again which I'm a bit upset about. I did start thinking once I know for sure if its over where will I meet anybody else. I dont tend to meet new people anymore, theres definitely nobody at work, I dont meet anyone when walking the dog well no nice men anyway. Getting closer to completely giving up.

Thanks psm, but I think I'm too sensitive and shy to do online dating maybe I need to work on my self confidence before I try it.
