jes74 · 02/01/2009 23:33

love kids but not enough for a class of them night

jes74 · 02/01/2009 23:58

scrooged thank you, now if you could qualify overnight as a sw and write letter we would be sorted

scrooged · 03/01/2009 00:00

I'm doing radiography at the moment. I do have a law degree though so I could use my scary credentials . I volunteered at the CAB a few years ago. They are all lovely people and will do all they can. If they can't sort the grant out they will point her in the direction of some people who can help.

jes74 · 03/01/2009 00:09

Also do you know any good solicitors with your law degree you must have connections she needs a residency order sorting(i love your knowledge grovel, grovel)

scrooged · 03/01/2009 00:15

Yes but I'm not sure a residency order comes under the Legal Aid funding. Has the tosspot been in contact?

scrooged · 03/01/2009 00:17

Derby Law Centre is a charity that could help. They are in the same building as the CAB. Be warned though, I used them for an employment problem I had and the solicitor really stuffed it up. He's not there any more though so she should be OK.

jes74 · 03/01/2009 00:20

He is away for the next few months should we say hence need to sort out residency now then it will be down to ss etc to step in if/when he applies for contact if he can find her and when he is able(not likely to be before june.
it is ss that sayshe has too sort out a residency order so they had better know a way to pay if not legal aid funded, because she is skint!!

jes74 · 03/01/2009 00:22

Will find out about the law centre thank you, now you know where your son gets his brains from

scrooged · 03/01/2009 00:23

If she goes to derby Law centre she won't have to pay. They are a charity and it's run through donations. They are very busy though but it will be free. It's on green lane, near where debenhams used to be.

scrooged · 03/01/2009 00:23

lol!

jes74 · 03/01/2009 00:25

Thats great her list of things to do grows longer.

scrooged · 03/01/2009 00:26

They are both in the same building so she won't have to go far. It'll keep her busy and off your computer

jes74 · 03/01/2009 00:31

true no, I will get on her computer

jes74 · 03/01/2009 00:31

scrooged · 03/01/2009 00:32

Haa! Did you have a nice christmas?

scrooged · 03/01/2009 00:33

Tempting but no. Thanks for the offer.

jes74 · 03/01/2009 00:34

we had a lovely christmas made alll the better by the offer of a house was the perfect pressie for my sister and niece really.
How was yours?

scrooged · 03/01/2009 00:38

Aww. That's sweet. Ours was OK. I took ds to the pantomomime. The fools asked him if he wanted to go on stage. He had the whole audience in hysterics except for one person. Guess who?

jes74 · 03/01/2009 00:44

erm what did he say/do and what day was it?

scrooged · 03/01/2009 00:46

They got three of them on stage after the panto, asked them a couple of questions (name, what did they want for christmas) then got them to play an inflatable guitar. It was christmas eve. I've just realised what an entertainer he is. He had the staff and actors on stage in stitches.

jes74 · 03/01/2009 00:49

my lot went on the 27th with grandparents, they said about the kids on stage when they were there, one child as rather shell shocked by the ordeal of being on stage.
Hire him out for childrens parties

scrooged · 03/01/2009 00:52

You didn't guess who the only person in the audience not to laugh was! It was packed so there about 500 people there. Guess who the grumpy git was.

He was rolling on the floor whilst playing his guitar, we even got him throwing it in the air, he was really good (I am biased though).
