Hi! I am looking to make some new friends in the area. Unfortunately I dont drive so it makes getting to places very difficult. I have one son who is 20 months and we are currently trying for our second baby, I am so excited!! I have lived in Coggeshall 4 years, Southend before that and America before that so I dont really have friends here that I grew up with or anything. Would love to meet some new Mums. Please post here if you would like to do something! We have a great park here in Coggeshall or I could take a bus somewhere though our public transport isnt great.

If the weather is bad are you still OK with us all coming or do you want us to keep away?

eenybeeny · 30/04/2008 08:35

You can still come as long as you dont mind all of us squeezing into my house!! Seriously it will be fine I throw a xmas party every year with around 30-40 people. Admittedly mostly adults! But please come!

mornin, just had a check on the weather forecast and it is due to be 'heavy showers' for thursday now

on a different subject, we've just got back from babygym and a cat appears to have weed all over the entrance porch thingy at my house - the hall stinks! what do i do? Do i venture into the good housekeeping section of MN? Will Anthea Turner be there shaking her head at me?

pooter · 30/04/2008 11:10

oh yeah, and eeny, i dont know where you live!

SparklyPrincess · 30/04/2008 11:47

Looks like I'm going to have to bail on tomorrow I'm afraid. DD1 has come over all spotty so we are back to being all icky and contagious and ostracised from polite society!

Why oh why couldn't they have the pox at the same time?!

Hope to see you all soon ........

purpleflower · 30/04/2008 12:05

Mung, I can get to yours for 12.15 if thats not a problem.

I think there have been posts about cat pee before so you don't need to worry pooter. We went to baby gym for the first time last week. It was great although I was advised to take DS to the younger group as he wouldn't sit in the cicle and I had to take him out of the room. I'm not sure, I might stick with the older group as the other is far too early!!

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and I hope DD1 feels better soon SP.

eenybeeny · 30/04/2008 13:42

Sorry to hear that SP hope DD is better soon! Look forward to meeting you another time!

Pooter will email you with my address & stuff!

What a shame about the weather. The park here is really really nice. I'm sorry to hear that! Oh well you can all come back whenever and I am sure we will have a lovely time indoors if it does indeed rain!

oh and pooter will bicarbonate of soda work?

OP posts:
Mung · 30/04/2008 14:14

Bicarbonate of soda on the carpet Pooter. Leave it over night and then vacuum the following morning. Its great stuff. Don't tell Twinkie as she'll never come round my house again, but I often use it to clean with.

Purpleflower...see you tomorrow at 12.15. I hope you can remember the way to mine.

Oh poor you SP...what a nightmare. I hope DD1 gets better soon.

pooter · 30/04/2008 17:08

Ah - i bought a load of bicarb when i was in the midst of a 'lets heal the world through use of natural cleaning products' phase. Anyone for vinigar? Borax? what the hell do you do with this stuff. My house smells like a chippy!

And its not my cat - im allergic actually (will take anti histamines eeny, so i wont get pumpkinhead) and it weed outside, but under the porchtype thingy - possibly on the mat. Enough about wee sarah!!!!!

eenybeeny · 30/04/2008 17:18

pooter did you know I have cats? I am sorry you are allergic! I am hoovering tomorrow am and the cats will stay the hell away from everyone tomorrow so hopefully you will be ok!

OP posts:
Mung · 30/04/2008 19:02

I am still in that phase Pooter. DH hates it and says I should use the tough stuff, I just keep scrubbing away with my natural cleaners.

Twinkie1 · 01/05/2008 08:15

Sparkly if you want to get out of the house DS has had chicken pox as has DD so you are more than welcome to call round Friday afternoon if you need to get out of the house!

Mung - I am disgusted - bleach and dettol girl that is what is used for cleaning none of those oldy fashionedy bicard malarky!!!!

God can't be arsed to get dressed and sort out the kids but DD needs to be at school soon so I better pull my socks up!

Pooter - Dettol - dettol - dettol - kills all known smells dead - I used to bath in it as a teenager - hhhmmmm and I wonder why I never had any luck with the chaps with me stinking of dettol and all the other girls floating around in a cloud of impulse and charlie!!!

SparklyPrincess · 01/05/2008 09:57

Thanks Twinkie - will see how DD1 is getting on, she's 'feeling really not very well' (in Lola voice !) today and is in a bit of a state.

Eeny, just to let you know that Sophie can't make it as she hasn't got the car.

Hope to see you all soon ... SP xx

eenybeeny · 01/05/2008 11:03
