I'm going to CAT all those of you who said you wanted to and I have picked this date from the air so hopefully it'll work out for everyone.

I don't have a venue yet because I'm from North Oxfordshire and have no ideas about where is good, but in terms of parking, I was thinking outside of Oxford might be a good plan - how does everyone feel about WyeVale (previously Blooms of Bressingham), it's just past the M40 junction on the way to Bicester, v child friendly restaurant with easy parking. Otherwise can someone who is in Oxford please suggest somewhere?

If we can reply here rather than CATTING each other it'll help keep things together.

Rachel

If it makes you feel any better a very grown up mumsnetter dragged me off to Bicester Village afterwards and forced me to buy clothes and make up (am I convincing anyone, my DH didn't believe me either)

Lovely to meet you all too. I think next time we need to pick somewhere with greater scampering facilities for the little ones.

I spent money on the way back too - but much less excitingly - the garage charged me £9 for about 4 minutes of someone's time, pulling one bit of trim off my car, and then pushing another bit on. Oh well, sorted now.

ShouldBe - do you remember ComeOVeneer's 'penpal' thing? I think your DS and mine were matched - but I never did anything about it. It was only this afternoon that I suddenly put two and two together, and realised.

shouldbe · 29/08/2007 21:15

JackieNo - I think my email with penpal details on is lost in cyberspace, I never had anything back. To be honest the whole penpal thing is probably lost on ds at the moment but I'm sure dd would be up for exchanging letters with your dd if you like? (she's been telling dh all about the girl she met today )
at the garage fee!

I've been nagged all afternoon to dig a pond so we can have some fish! That wretched free magazine they gave out was full of instructions for digging a pond - dd assures me it's easy and we should dig one asap

JackieNo · 29/08/2007 21:28

Yes, I think DS wouldn't really understand the whole thing. DD is already writing (occasionally) to WigWamBam's DD, but I bet she'd love to write to your DD too. Obviously I already have your address, but if you want to email me on jackieno at hotmail dot co dot uk, I can send you ours, and check the one I have is correct. Thank goodness we've had no subsequent pond/fish follow-up here (wouldn't be room anyway).

Hi
Good to see you all to. As you say somewhere with more room to let the kids run riot would be handy.

Thanks for organising it.

xx

I've emailed you JackieNo

JackieNo · 30/08/2007 12:09

I've replied, shouldbe.

Thanks to whomovedmychocolate for organising it - I vote to have next one in a large field for the kids, preferably with a handy Starbucks van parked nearby. Nice to have met you all, see you again soon I hope.
