I'm going to CAT all those of you who said you wanted to and I have picked this date from the air so hopefully it'll work out for everyone.

I don't have a venue yet because I'm from North Oxfordshire and have no ideas about where is good, but in terms of parking, I was thinking outside of Oxford might be a good plan - how does everyone feel about WyeVale (previously Blooms of Bressingham), it's just past the M40 junction on the way to Bicester, v child friendly restaurant with easy parking. Otherwise can someone who is in Oxford please suggest somewhere?

If we can reply here rather than CATTING each other it'll help keep things together.

Rachel

Would you like me to drag my MiL along - she's 81, that should even things out? Actually perhaps I could leave her in the potted plants section, some daft soul might take her home with them

That's a very kind thought, young lady. Actually I did think that if it all looked too scary I could just blend in with the OAPs looking at interesting plants.

Jackie - don't worry, DD is teething, I look about ninety because of lack of sleep!

You know you are looking haggard when the assistant in the shop offers you a seat. Happened to me today

JackieNo · 08/08/2007 22:18

Poor you - no fun, is it. Hope the teething results in something soon, and you get some sleep.

whomovedmychocolate · 08/08/2007 22:27

Oh thank you - it sort of has, her incisors showed up last week but she also has molars coming through (she's not even ten months - but the GP confirmed it - they are on their way!)

But she's still a grumpy mare! Ce la vie! She's lovely most of the time.

still up for this.

Yippee - lots of us. Can we agree on the bit of the restaurant next to the soft play centre (this will be obvious when you go in or ask the greeter where that is - yes they have a chap to say 'hello' - seems to be all he does TBH).

I will ummm wear a hat or something so you can all recognise me - or possibly take a balloon. Suggestions please?

I'm looking forward to it. CloudExplosion, it's an ideal place to go into labour, they have lots of reclining chairs and world of water is next door if you fancied your chances labouring with the koi

Not sure if I'm going to be able to make it now - DD has a dentist appointment in the morning, and it will depend how she feels afterwards, I think (she's having a filling).

whomovedmychocolate · 22/08/2007 21:01

Jackie - if it helps they do sell icecream!

JackieNo · 22/08/2007 22:43

That could be a powerful incentive (and that's just for me). I think, if it's OK, I'm still going to aim to come, but will make the final decision on the day, when she's had it done.

whomovedmychocolate · 23/08/2007 09:37

Okay well we will hopefully see you there.

whomovedmychocolate · 24/08/2007 07:38

Umm 11am (it's in the title of the thread)

Hi

Just wanted to say that I'll be there on Wednesday will be near the play pit place it seems to be round the back of the restaurant and coffee shop bit. Will have 2 year old DD and 1 year old DS with me. I'll probably be the one with an overloaded buggy before i've bought anything

See you there

madamecasanova · 27/08/2007 23:10

Hello there, yes, I'll be there with my three DDs (8,4 and 18 months), so you'll be able to spot me as being the sweaty bird, probably with her flies undone and a comb in her hair, looking slightly deranged.

whomovedmychocolate · 28/08/2007 19:30

Right - well I will be there in a bright red tail coat with a taupe coloured buggy and a loud 10 month old DD who will probably be wailing - she's teething

OP posts:
JackieNo · 29/08/2007 08:20

Not teething again. Poor you. I should be there - I'll be the fat, old one with the Mile for Maude shopping list tote bag and a DD of 6 and a DS of 3.

PellMell · 29/08/2007 08:51

I'd love to come too
It will be myself (short, dark haired and round) and dd aged 2 with a very pink mothercare buggy.
code anyone?
[hmm funny handshake?

see you there...and don't all run away when you see me coming

JackieNo · 29/08/2007 14:29

Lovely to meet everyone - sorry I didn't have time/chance to chat more, but I guess those are the perils of having more mobile DCs (and ones that can express their boredom with chatting). Thanks to whomovedmychocolate for arranging it all. Just realised I took a year off DD in my previous post - she's 7, not 6.

shouldbe · 29/08/2007 15:06

Hi JackieNo, whomovedmychocolate and others that we met today we're only just home after being dragged round the fish a couple more times before we could leave! I'll echo JackieNos regrets at not being able to chat more - hopefully we'll have a chance again another time

PellMell · 29/08/2007 17:50

so sorry I didn't make it. set off to meet you all and lost a bolt holding my engine bracket......very noisy clonking of engine.
so horrid.
hope you all had a lovely time.
I only live 20 minutes away from there.
please arrange another one.
sorry about grammar....lots of squabbling kids around me including one on my lap

BBBee · 29/08/2007 20:52

sorry i didn't make it either - had an unexpected extra child to care for and could not see it working. Hope you had fun. Hope to come when you meet again.
