mammamic · 10/07/2007 17:40

Hi Ladies. sorry if it looked like i was ignoring - we've been on holiday and only got back yesterday. If you're still up for it, i'd love a meet up - if the weathers nice we could go to the play area in the park or we could meet at the costa in Caversham.

OP posts:
Lupins71 · 10/07/2007 18:32

sounds good, did u go anywhere nice?

mammamic · 10/07/2007 18:46

Hi Lupins. We went to the US. DH aunt passed away recently so we went to visit family. we had an excellent time, even given the circumstances. Now very jetlagged and about to go home. I've posted on other threads and suggested a meet up at the park in the pool play area on Friday 20th.....

f1nut · 10/07/2007 22:17

hi mammamic, sorry to hear bout dh aunt, we had similar sort of thing recently, my mil passed away, her and my fil live in australia, my oh was gonna go over but in the end we couldnt afford it.

picnic at the sandy park (as my boys call it) sounds great, depending on weather of course.

how many kids have you got? how old? are you from caversham?

lupins hows the bayamo? give us the lo-down, im buggy mad, have 7 at the mo, just sold 2 so think need another for my collection, thinking maybe a slalom

xx

Lupins71 · 10/07/2007 22:29

mmmmmmmm its lurvley!!! really nice to push, I have the carrycot on atm as seat unit is from 6months, must say tho it is a seriously nice one, really well padded and thick, got a few scratches on the frame - but for what i paid what can you expect, I am being good atm - I have loola travel system, bayamo, and a micralite newborn system which is awaiting collection and replacement (nightmare), as i said am being good, what have you got ?

f1nut · 11/07/2007 07:57

2 zapps 1 in black and the other orange, plus awaiting a set of red covers, phil&teds in charcoal and have red red covers aswell, ziko in hot chocolate but am after mushy peas now, freestyler in broadwalk (just arrived from ebay) quinny speedi (at mums) and my new baby i just got 2 weeks ago, maclaren xlr

i work in mothercare so seeing all these new biggies as soon as they come out is fab, defo want a jane, won a nomad on ebay while back but seller obviously didnt want to sell to me as got a good price so that fell through.

saw a stoke in the flesh yesterday, it was beautifull, now have a craving for that, unfortunatly cory is 3 soon so my buggy days are nealy over

Lupins71 · 11/07/2007 09:11

I didnt think i would get the bayamo for the price i did, i asked if they wanted to do a buy it now and would have paid double what i did as it had the carrycot, oh well my gain, dont think they were too plsed that it went for that price tho, I am not really into "pushchairs" I like chunky buggies but have compramised on the loola as its sort of chunky pushchair and i need something for the bus - also love the creatis car seat, so much head protection and support, my hallway is a mixtute of seat units, carrycots and chassis atm lol - buggy garage

f1nut · 11/07/2007 09:24

what was the price? (nosey i know) i love big prams aswell, love another baby girl so could get a pink one

didnt used to like loola but after doing alot of demos on it at work, its a good sturdy pushchair, its growing on me.

will you be able to do pool meet 20th? im only short walk from town so if you ever fancey meeting there xx

Lupins71 · 11/07/2007 11:54

Hi

I got it for £56 and gave her a fiver for her fee's (long story) I am not too keen on the loola tbh, (just sold a set of camelia covers) 1st day it arrivd i hated it - but its growing on me, dont know how they can say it suitable from birth tho, am hoping to make the 20th, its dd's last day at preschool tho so am deciding what to do, we could meet up in town tho if i come (pretty sure i will) my bus gets in by primark

Lupins71 · 11/07/2007 11:55

ps I would be terrible working in m/care - how do you manage not to buy everything?

f1nut · 11/07/2007 12:57

get 20% discount so its hard lol goverment guidlines say 30 degrees and under for newborn, thats what i have to tell everyone, crap realy, i wouldnt want my newborn in anything other than lie flat.

i live by the park so that easy for me, same as only 10min walk into town.

thats the last day of pre-school for us aswell, does ur daughter do morn or afternoon?

deekay78 · 11/07/2007 14:28

hi ya

Thanks to mammamic for the email I didn't even know this site had local sites within it!! Is the meet up still happening as i'd be interested..

My ds is nearly 7 months.

Lupins71 · 11/07/2007 14:56

She does afternoons, so I would either have to get dp to pick her up or let her have the day off, which considering its my last day of peace for gawd knows how many weeks im not sure i want to do lol

I dont like ds in anything other than lie flat, main reason for not liking the loola - and the basket is a nightmare to get into

f1nut · 11/07/2007 15:39

hi donna, how are you? its shell from yahoo would be nice to finally meet u.

lupins we could do moring? my eldst is at nursery till 1, what time would you have to take dd?

Lupins71 · 12/07/2007 10:20

dd has to be there for 12.40 -think i will let her have the day off
