Hi, My name is Ruth, I'm 35 and have a little boy who is 7 months. We live in Colchester (Myland) and would love to meet another local new mum to go out for coffee with sometime, pop to the zoo, go out on walks, etc. I'm off work until September which is when I will go back part time, but some weeks I get bored rigid staying in and I don't like going out much on my own so would love someone to do something with and have some adult conversation.

Looking forward to hearing from someone!

Hello, we are having a coffee morning this month. There is a thread on here.

ScoobyRoo · 11/04/2014 13:39

Thanks 4m4and4 but a big group doesn't really work me me as I've tried this before, which is why I posted in the hope there maybe some new mums out there who might be in the same boat and would like another new mum to hang out with rather than a big group. :o)

Hi Ruth,

I'm Sara, I'm 40,I have a 16 m girl and I live close to north station. We do go to playgroups a couple of times a week, and also the meet up, but like the zoo and often go to castle park, so would be nice to get a coffee after a walk!

ScoobyRoo · 13/04/2014 21:24

Hi Sara,

Lovely to hear from you and would love to meet up! For once I'm actually busy over the next couple of weeks (typical!) cos of Easter plans, but free to meet up most weekdays from 29th April. Did you fancy putting a date in the diary for a coffee and a walk maybe (as long as it's not raining walk wise!)?

Ruth :)

I heard it's meant to be nice for a while so keeping my fingers crossed! I'm free all that week - What about 6th May? If it is nice we could always meet at the Cafe in Castle Park? It always seems to be quieter in the week.

Tuesday sounds good at that little cafe. Hope it's nice so we can sit in the outside bit and get some sun maybe! What sort of time? We are normally up quite early at the moment, so 10 am is ok for us, but don't mind later.

ScoobyRoo · 15/04/2014 08:55

Me too! :o) Well at the moment my little man keeps getting me up around 5.30am, so I'm good with 10am.

ScoobyRoo · 16/04/2014 22:37

He was doing nearly 7am and I hated that but lately it's been around 5.30am. Could handle even 6am better. Hoping it's another one of his phases!

Looking forward to meeting you in May! :)

Hi Sara,

Hope you're well and you had a lovely Easter and Bank Holiday!

I just wanted to check if you're still ok to meet up on Tuesday? If so, is 10am still good at the Castle Park cafe?

Same here. Busy but enjoyed what sun we had! :o) I heard about tomorrow being nice too, which is good as we were hoping to do our first picnic with our little one. Fingers crossed for Tuesday!

Shall I meet you inside just in case weather wise? I doubt there will be many people there at that time, but my buggy is a dark denim colour with a red footmuff, and I have a cream with purple bow changing bag. Thought the buggy would be more of an obvious thing to spot!

Great! I would love to meet up! My husband is off next week so I could do the week after that? If you are free of course? X

ScoobyRoo · 13/05/2014 15:47

I've fine for the week after. Any day apart from the Thursday as it's my cleaning day - which I don't ever look forward to! What's best for you? Also, let me know where you fancy meeting?

Its so nice! And the cake is yummy! ;-) perhaps I could PM you my Facebook and we could msg details there? (I just need to figure out how to PM!) x

pinkdaisychain · 16/05/2014 09:03

Hmm doesn't look like I can PM maybe you can't do that on this site? X
