Tilly - oh dear, Monday's not working out so well! Will have a think, maybe we can do a lunch/playdate instead? Anyway tickets arrived today (yippee)so I'll see you on 12th, yay. Think you still owe me some cash please!

The whole sharing thing is one of those grey areas where everyone does have their own 'rules'. We do the take turns and swap after x minutes. I don't like snatching toys though, that's not in the spirit of sharing. I do say to DS1 he doesn't have to share if he really doesn't want to but it is nice to let other people play with your toys as it makes them happy, and I remind him he does play with other people's toys and they are being kind in doing so. He's usually happy to share on this basis. Sharing a bike is a whole new ball game though

I was amazed yesterday, Ds2 went to a party and when we got home he said he wanted to share the sweets in his party bag with DS1, cute!

Hi everyone! Good tips on sharing there. I agree with explaining taking turns is better - good idea to put precious things away! Glad course is going well sfx.

It's been a long week. Mostly in good ways, excitement/stress of being interviewed for a podcast (thankfully not on open broadcast so you won't get to hear me talking about law you lucky things), went to a conference which went well but very early start, and lots of catching up with things at DD1's school too (wave to Kew and sfx). Glad it's Friday though. I've lost the ability to speak to anyone. I need an evening of silence, indulgent telly, and pie. No pie emoticon, boo.

We are all taking turns being sick ... DD1 first now me and DD2...and its so beautiful outside. We had plans to go by the water this weekend.. I guess we will have to wait until next summer :(

went to visit auntie yesterday and did not quite manage to get back for pick up time due to points failure, luckily dh was working from home, so I took the longer way but mean air con trains

had lovely swim today, must sort out stuff around the house to free us up for a weekend outdoors

Building work is starting to get stressful, long story won't go into it but will be reaching for tonight. Anyway had a good time in Bushy park after school, nice to enjoy this amazing weather

Won't go into details but issues can be resolved and we can move on.
That aside wkend was good, went to friend's 40th where sumptious dinner produced by a fromer Masterchef finalist!

Really lovely weekend in the cotswolds here. Beautiful place, very relaxing and luxurious, with amazing weather to top it all off, so swam in the outdoor pool. DD2 and DS are little fishies in the water, and DD1 is slowly becoming braver when she's not screaming like a mad thing for getting water in her ears :o

Poor you vbus - builders and building work on your behalf. Surprise building work on neighbours' house was what set my labour off with The Boy, so I do empathise.

I am babysitting tonight these do not call me every 5mins with some complaint or other dh has that sole pleasure tonight and tomorrow as it is college night oh and Thursday too as I will be our drinking with school mums
