York meet-up

So there seems to be some interest on Twitter for a meet-up in York/surrounds. Who's would like to join in? It seems logical that we wait for schools to start again and a morning in the week would suit me best.

deadley · 16/02/2011 22:09

25th of Feb is half term (and I cant make that!). Could do 4th of march though......

Have we got a date? Must admit I dont know where the library is either:)

mamov4 · 17/02/2011 09:08

fartblossom · 17/02/2011 10:06

I cant do fridays but any other day.

Do you know where boots is? If you go from boots up to Next up past the post office and when you get to the main road you cross over and you are there. Its just to your left as your crossing the road.

mamov4 · 17/02/2011 11:40

hmmm must have passed it a thousand times...it still doesnt register with me that ive seen it lol

PomonaTodd · 17/02/2011 12:03

Next to the Museum Gardens.

Am continuing to perpetually name change Grin.

Think I can do Friday 4th March - would be nice to see some more people and babies and feel glad mine are at school Grin

PomonaTodd · 17/02/2011 12:04

They are the right age for school btw - am not just making actual babies go to school...

Woofie it was me you met (briefly) on Saturday night. How long did you stay?

mamov4 · 17/02/2011 14:17

think im getting where libary is :)
was there a date set ?

MummyBerryJuice · 17/02/2011 19:01

Hmmm. Fridays are probably the best day for me. Or Wednesdays. The 4th would be good.

Is it a date then?

mamov4 · 17/02/2011 19:06

thats good with me...what time?

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 17/02/2011 23:41

Hi All

Fully intended coming to the last meet up and then didn't make it. So will try again this time! Am determined to make it! :o

PomonaTodd · 18/02/2011 13:56

Was just looking at the library's website and there is some sort of story time/rhyme time on Fridays between 10:30 and 11:30. That could be a good thing or not depending on whether people would like story time. Would presumably mean more people in cafe part etc.

Friday better for me than Wednesday that week due to a bit of invigilating on Wednesday that would probably go on until about 11 in Huntington.

MummyBerryJuice · 18/02/2011 15:37

That sounds fab Pomona. DS would really enjoy a bit of story time/rhyme. We could get there early to 'mark' our spot. Grin. Say around 10?

pearlgirl · 18/02/2011 21:55

I would love to join you, but am at work until 11.30 - maybe I could sneak in at the end.

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 18/02/2011 22:00

I can do Friday 4th, will just have 17mo with me as last time.

fartblossom · 19/02/2011 09:59

I cant make it, but will look out for the next one. I am determined to make it at some point.

MummyBerryJuice · 01/03/2011 16:27

So we are still on for 10am at the library cafe (next to the Museum Gardens) on Friday?

Who'll be there?

OP posts:
QuincyMincemeat · 01/03/2011 16:33

QuincyMincemeat · 01/03/2011 16:34

looking even

woofie · 01/03/2011 20:06

Think we're free then, so will try to make it. Looking forward to seeing some of you again and meeting the others Smile

prettywhiteguitar · 02/03/2011 09:01

Grrr I would come but don't have DS till late afternoon and have work to do :(

MummyBerryJuice · 02/03/2011 13:50

Children aren't required Grin. You could pop in by yourself if you want to...

OP posts:
sethstarkaddersmackerel · 02/03/2011 17:51

I am still coming, can't wait!

went to library the other day and was v impressed.
DS2 likes pulling books off shelves though, do you think they'll mind? (am planning to abandon him with the books while I have my coffee, you see.)

QuincyMincemeat · 02/03/2011 17:56

ds2 does the same Seth. they can be partners in crime and we can pretend we don't know them.

MummyBerryJuice · 03/03/2011 06:08

LOL. DS likes to do the same to (and perhaps give them a little nibble when he thinks no-one is watching).
