York meet-up

So there seems to be some interest on Twitter for a meet-up in York/surrounds. Who's would like to join in? It seems logical that we wait for schools to start again and a morning in the week would suit me best.

That would be good for me :)

woofie · 24/09/2010 22:33

Any ideas about venue? If lots of people are bringing kids, maybe somewhere like Spurriergate where there are toys and plenty of space for buggies? Or another, more original idea...

NoahAndTheWhale · 24/09/2010 22:47

Am a bit useless on venues as we only moved here in June. Was at university here but somehow my needs for venues were slightly different then Grin

Hi. My name is Linda. I am commenting on this thread as there may be people viewing it who maybe interested in a brilliant product I?ve found for Babies/Toddlers!

Ever tried to push a pushchair in the snow? Or on a beach? Ever tried to pull a baby/toddler in an ordinary sledge!? They just fall out! The Baby Luge is perfect with it's seat and safety harness!

It's 71cm long and 36cm wide.

I tried to get one for my baby last year and they sold out everywhere. :-( So this year I've placed a bulk order with the manufacturer making it possible to sell these at £25 each. Please get in touch if you would like one....they're £50 on Ebay!! (Type Baby Luge into the Ebay search to see a picture)

MY EMAIL ADDRESS IS [email protected] ? please do not reply via this thread as it belongs to another topic. Please e-mail me directly.

Get in touch if you would like one! And please don't wait until it snows as I will have sold out by then!

If you know anyone else that may be interested then please pass on my details at any baby/toddler meetings/groups! Mum's will love it!!

Also if there are any events in your local area and you would like me to post some flyers to you to give to other mums then I'm happy to pop some in the post!

The sledges are free local delivery to the Hull/York Area. Elsewhere will be £5.99 postage and packing.

They make perfect Xmas pressies for other babies too as most mums don't even know this baby sledge exists!!

I look forward to hearing from you

Linda.

bellavita · 25/09/2010 18:35

Err "Linda" I think you need to pay a fee to advertise on here..

Cookie1982 · 25/09/2010 20:05

Sorry if I offended you.

It is free to advertise locally on here and I genuinly just wanted to get the word out to mums that these are available and that I can get them cheaper than they are on Ebay if people are interested.

I have placed an ad in the classifieds also.

Mums love this sledge and I just wanted to let people know it is available locally.

Again I am sorry if I upset you.

The post is meant with good intentions.

Linda.

Reading back, maybe a Friday wouldn't be ideal for doucam and deadley? I'm on mat leave still, so can do most days really...

Noah - you don't frequent the Evil Eye with the kids then? Grin. I miss that place...

NoahAndTheWhale · 25/09/2010 23:05

I can do pretty much any day. Although probably Monday, Tuesday or Friday best as am helping at school on Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

cazinski · 26/09/2010 20:24

Anytime for me-have finally moved and sort of (ish) unpacked. Any excuse to get out and have a chinwag and a coffee sounds good to me. Watching this thread for a date and venue. I won't suggest one as I'm pretty useless with where everything is at the mo!

woofie · 30/09/2010 19:19

Monday 11th mid-morning at Spurriergate?

cazinski · 01/10/2010 09:44

Yes sounds great-I'll be there woofie!

woofie · 03/10/2010 09:24

Excellent! Anyone else??

jooseyfruit · 03/10/2010 10:14

NoahAndTheWhale · 03/10/2010 10:15

Oh I can't go that day :( I am working.

Will keep an eye out for the next meet and hope I can get to that one.

cazinski · 05/10/2010 21:41

What time is everyone thinking? I can be there from 11am, DH has booked us in for a tour of Clifton school at 10am!! I'll need a coffee after that! (DD is only 14 months old haha!) Zzzzzzzz

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 05/10/2010 21:51

I'm working too, but like doucam will keep eyes peeled for another meet up!

jooseyfruit · 06/10/2010 11:10

11? Spurriergate centre at top of Coney St?

Noah are you on twitter I recognise your photo!

NoahAndTheWhale · 06/10/2010 23:19

I am Smile. Am IdrisTheDragon (with an underscore there somewhere).

11 sounds good. Although am a little nervous Grin

jooseyfruit · 07/10/2010 13:25

shall we all wear a mooncup on our lapel so we recognise each other?

NoahAndTheWhale · 07/10/2010 13:29

That would be an idea Grin. I have short hair. Brown. Might still have a little blonde in it. Will probably have on a skirt or dress and brown boots on. And probably red coat.

jooseyfruit · 07/10/2010 13:50

i think we are friends on fb, my initials L.Y. profile pic of two eldest kids. I'm non descript long blonde, with extremely blonde toddler!

NoahAndTheWhale · 07/10/2010 14:06

We are :) You have just commented on my rhinos (that's not a sentence you often say Grin).
