Am not sure if there is anyone there so am bumping this for you - you might want to try bumping it later

Callisto · 11/06/2007 21:22

H1 - try British Expats: britishexpats.com/ if you need info on Canada. There is an article on Saskatchewan on the home page and a Canada forum. Everyone is very nice but it can become a bit of a bum fight so beware .

Callisto · 11/06/2007 21:24

That should of course read BUN fight...

DarrellRivers · 02/07/2007 19:18

Lack of NHS consultant posts
DH is a wannabe academic
NHS generally going down the pan
Love the UK so it's a pity really

ktmoomoo · 02/07/2007 19:42

wat made you choose saskatoon

SpacePuppy · 02/07/2007 19:45

Have a cousin there, she hated it for the first 2 years because of the cold. Now been there 10 years and don't want to leave ever.

DarrellRivers · 02/07/2007 20:10

oh there's a job at the University
We'll see what pans out... the other option is a job on Vancouver Island which sounds a bit more urban in that it is closer to Vancouver and all the lovely urban type activities plus beautiful countryside stuff as well

purpleduck · 02/07/2007 21:01

Saskatoon is WAY more than 4 hours from the Rockies!!!! Unless you mean flight?? In which case I don't believe its more than a couple hours and I don't understand the "beautiful weather" bit. Canadian winters are bloody damn cold!!! And they last FOREVER!!! Unless you like that sort of thing of course!

hana · 02/07/2007 21:06

ummm
saskatoon is not the least bit cosmopolitan

and blood blood cold in the winter
