Catching back up with you, cheering you on, sending you best wishes and a picture of my hydrangeas, which the heat tried to finish off last year but have come back even more beautiful and robustly this year. Your strength is amazing.

Pamela you are amazing, your spirit and determination shine through and you write so eloquently about all you’ve been through. I work at a church and have been saying a little prayer for you every day. Your love for Kerr and your family is so strong and I’m so glad you’ve got a fighting chance now you are getting treatment. I hope you have a better night tonight xx

Sweetashunni · 12/07/2023 19:09

You are an amazing person, so brave and so articulate even at the hardest time in your life, I imagine you are helping hundreds of people in your situation now with how brave you are being and your determination. Praying all this treatments makes positive changes for you

This is a rollercoaster to read, let alone live. You’re amazing - am in awe of your strength and courage.

Gettingonabitnow · 12/07/2023 19:28

Hi Pamela. I’ve read all your posts and I’m rooting for you every step of the way. One of the biggest things that’s struck me is just how much private health care has played a part in all of this. As a mum of two little ones it’s made me think about a private healthcare plan - and I say that coming from a family of NHS workers! If you’re able, are you willing to share what type of plan you are / were on? All the best of love and luck. Also - you still look very glam! Xx

Mars27 · 12/07/2023 19:32

Oh Pamela! You're so brave. Sending all the good energy, prayers and love ❤️

Who cares if it’s the steroids it’s lovely to hear your update! Made me laugh about the flossing as I lie every time I go to the dentist about doing it.

Enjoy your takeaway!

I am so glad to read you're feeling more positive Pamela. You're right, you have nothing to lose, and you have held in so far, managing to look glamorous and beautiful. I am in awe.

Here is a picture of my New Forest pony filly foal, I have waited 12 long years to get a girl from one of my mares!

Still to choose a name for her, I am considering making an exception to my usual has to begin with a H and naming her Pamela in your honour xx

She is 😍 and I can't think of a better name

WaterWall22 · 12/07/2023 19:54

Your last update sounds so much more positive! Fingers crossed for a restful night. Xxx

My Mavis wishing you well Pamela xxx When I had chemo for breast cancer a few years ago the support from another online forum helped carry me through and I made some wonderful friends. That was 17 years ago now.

Aah lovely Pamela great to hear 💐 ❤️ what a roller coaster of a day, I'm full of awe for you xxx

Leafytrees · 12/07/2023 20:07

Dear Pamela

You continue to be an inspiration. I don't know how you have managed to rise again after the night you had. I will be thinking of you this evening and willing you on.

I had a stressful day at work and was tempted to throw the children into bed and sulk about it this evening but I thought about how you don't know when life may throw you a curve ball and snuggled up with my little girl while she read Harry Potter aloud. It was just the tonic I needed, so thank you for reminding me that we must make the most of life whatever the circumstances. I hope you have a better night. I wish Mumsnet could conjure you a patronus to vanquish the night pains. In the absence of such magic, I hope the Mumsnetters wishing you well from all the exotic timezones help through the dark hours here. Thinking of you.

Harebrain · 12/07/2023 20:09

Hang on in there. Everyone’s cheering you on.

JackieQueen · 12/07/2023 20:16

You're such a trouper Pamela, amazing lady! Keep going! Love and prayers xxx

cheezncrackers · 12/07/2023 20:23

Mavis is adorable @thegreylady 💗

So great to read your post-chemo messages Pamela. I'd heard that patients can feel a kind of euphoria after receiving chemo, which must be very welcome after all the pain and difficulty of the last few days. Do your thing chemo and kill those cancer cells!
