As promised Pamela, I attach some pictures from my walk today. I am not a photographer at all but they capture the beauty nature brings us. In fact I found myself enjoying finding beautiful things I could see for you, so thank you. Sending tight hugs and plenty of love ❤️

Pamela

I'm happy to read that you had a better night. You sound more cheery. It's good of you to keep updating us but please don't ever feel you should. We'll all be here anyway, sending you positive thoughts.

I'm loving all the photographs people are posting of their dogs, flowers, nature etc. I'm sure I'm not alone. Thank you everyone for all the lovely photographs. I know they're for Pamela, but they're giving other people pleasure too.

Sunmachine · 13/07/2023 13:28

Great to hear you had a better night and treatment underway. You are such a star!

weebleswobblebuttheydontfalldown · 13/07/2023 13:31

Fantastic Pamela, stay strong! Great that you ate Thai food! Little and often the best way to get the nutrients in while minimising any symptoms like nausea, feeling full etc. Try not to take Fortisip before meals and sip those slowly between meals instead. It's worth seeing if there is a dietitian in the hospital who can monitor you and advise / support your eating while you go through this? I'm rooting for you!! 💪🏼

lucylulululu · 13/07/2023 13:35

So pleased to see your latest update Pamela, pain 1-2 is incredible considering what it has been!! I'm absolutely thrilled you had a better night's sleep 🙏

Wishing you best of luck for being discharged, it'll likely give you a real boost not having to stay in hospital and having a change of scenery! Am I right in thinking the drains have now been removed or do they have to stay in? Sorry if you've said this already and I've forgotten amidst the whirlwind of other procedures you've had to deal with xx
I bet you're so excited to see Jacob and your mum too, that will be another boost for you too I'm sure. Take care all of you and hope you have a peaceful and uncomplicated afternoon ❤️💐

I'm so glad to read you had a better night. Here's a lovely swan that makes me smile, and a pic of my gorgeous cat.

What a fantastic update, glad to hear you've got people like Rita caring for you. So pleased that you could begin your treatment and also get the pain under control.

Wishing you and your family the very best x

RafaThisAndRogerThat · 13/07/2023 14:19

Going about my day with an extra smile after reading you'd had a better night last night. Long may it continue. Hope any chemo side effects are as kind as they possibly can be x

Notaclue252 · 13/07/2023 14:19

So pleased to hear you got some rest last night. If you’re being discharged to your friend’s home, do you have any contact numbers or services in place in case you need them? For instance if you need more/ different painkillers?
Faith, love and hope still, from this little corner of Essex.
My lavender is swarming with bumble bees, only this one deigned to have his photo taken!

So glad to read your latest posts in which you sound so much happier, positive, and more comfortable. You deserve every prayer, positive thought and good wish being sent your way!

I'm inspired by you to look at my own life more positively because my problems right now pale in comparison to what you're going through, to take care of myself better while I'm lucky enough to have my health, and to make better use of my time. You are a shining light and I believe there's lots more good for you to do in the world.

GU24Mum · 13/07/2023 16:15

Another one following your progress with everything crossed for you. Your family must be really proud of you for throwing everything you have at this. We're all with you!

sunglassesonthetable · 13/07/2023 16:30

It's so good to hear you sounding cheerier. You're doing so well. It's inspiring. Thank you for that. And I think you've inspired so many on here.

On hols now. And check out the sea where I am. It's insane.

Emilia35 · 13/07/2023 18:26

So amazing to hear you've had a better day! It must make such a difference to be in less pain. Fingers crossed your pain remains manageable and that you have a lovely time this week while staying with your friend (even if the chemo makes you feel a bit sick, but fingers crossed no strong side effects!)

Wishing you and your family all the best xx

Batalax · 13/07/2023 18:33

You can truly see how much more positive you are now the pain is under control and you have hope with the chemo. Long may it last!

catzrulz · 13/07/2023 18:43

I've not posted before but have been following from thread one.
I had cancer last year and the one piece of advice I'd give you, and anyone else, is if you feel the slightest bit sick after your anti sickness meds stop, get right back on them.
I ended up being on them permanently during Chemo, Radiotherapy and Brachytherapy.
I don't know how I'd have coped without them.
Sending you and everyone else going through this awful illness lots of love and healing thoughts ❤️.

Munchyseeds2 · 13/07/2023 19:15

So glad that you both had a better night - things are so much easier to face with a little sleep
I hope the discharge has gone well and that you are with your friend
Onwards and upwards lovely lady
You are amazing 💪xx
