Hello all

Does anyone know what is happening??

I have a case to attend in oct and have heard nothing so far

Do I assume it will go ahead??

The "knocking back" thing isn't how it works. If a trial is due to start next week at the moment there will be (usually) a short hearing this week to decide if it can go ahead. If it can't it gets a new date, in 2023 where the defendant is on bail or later this year if in custody. It's not that everyone keeps their place in the queue and the whole queue gets shunted back. If there is agreement early next week then trials due to start the week after may be able to go ahead.

The Bar are now consulting on a proposal from the Government. I'm afraid it's likely to be early next week before we have any news which may be too late for your case.

The ballot on the government's offer closes on 8 October so we will know on 9 or 10 whether the strike will continue.
