Legal DNA test

Hi

I have been asked by a man that abused me to agree to a legal DNA test to confirm if my DS is related to him. I believe this man could be a danger to my DS.

The DNA company have asked for pictures of myself and my DS, that they will pass on to this man in the report. They have said this is a legal requirement of the test. Surely that is a massive safeguarding issue, passing on a picture of my child to a potentially dangerous man, who man or may not be related to him?

Thanks in advance!

If you feel up to reporting that is

I hope the solution is as simple as your dh and dc doing a test. Make sure you use a court approved company and then the results will be admissible in court should he still continue with his ridiculous quest..

Northgene is the court approved company I had to use...

As you’ve already said your DH knows about this rape, then I’d go straight to the police to report it as such. Even before having a DNA test.

I’d definitely report it now too, then if the DNA test comes back with the result you wouldn’t want then you could get him prosecuted

How is your husband coping with this? Have you got an inkling on who your sons Dad is?

Sending love, what a horrible situation
