Query about family court

Can the court order me to feed my children a certain way? Can they order me to feed them Halal?

In a nutshell:
STBXH is Muslim. I am not. I am the main carer, they don't have any overnights with him yet and he barely has them for more then a few hours at a time and usually tries to have them separately.

I have stopped feeding them halal at home but Dd is starting school dinners and I have told the school to only keep her off pork.
STBXH, when he finds out, is going to hit the roof and I just wondered what he can actually do about it? Legally?

Assuming he has PR, he will be able to instruct the school to provide a halal menu. It is likely the courts would uphold this, because there is no detriment to the DC in having that diet. You might discover that all meat in school dinners is halal anyhow, depending on the demographics of the school.

But you cannot be compelled to provide it at home. Though of course if the DC want to eat that way, it won't be long before they are compelling up you.

If you're prepared to say no pork, why wouldn't you just go the whole hog and let the school give them halal, to save the row?

Because by instructing my Dd to always choose the halal/vegetarian option at school I can't then say outside of school we don't eat halal can I?
That will be confusing. I don't feed her halal at home and it's confusing and deceptive to her.

I just wondered about the legal side. He does have PR, but it's extremely nominal about his religion anyway. I've had a thread about it in the past and feel I'm making the best decision for the DC.
I'm happy to say no pork as I don't buy it or cook it at home for myself. I'm aware I'll get flamed for that too.
