Please help translate these two sentences...

Does this mean for one year only? Or every year?

I think they have misplaced the brackets and it should be:

(that being £6000 in total for one year).

You need to get that clarified though!

There is a limitation on professional negligence of 6 years.

There is no harm in speaking to your solicitor but they may do nothing. You need to speak to a professional negligence lawyer. It all depends on when you became aware of the issue. You may be out of time.

Complaints to SRA will be a waste of time. You need to speak to the legal ombudsman who may again do nothing because of the timescale.

I maintain I think it should have been for one year only as there appears to be no cut off. Although it is of course reasonable to expect a father to pay maintenance for his children when minors, it is not reasonable to expect him to pay for them when they are in their 20's and 30's. Also, we don't know how old the children were when the order was made.
