Once, maybe twice some days.
Do wash some dishes in the sink, here and there.
11 of us.

NEVER
[bitter woman with no dishwasher emotion]

There used to be 6 of us here. 3 adults, 2 teens, and dd.

It used to go on 3 or 4 times a day. But since eldest ss moved out, about 2 or3 times a day

ellideb · 24/08/2008 14:17

Oh but to have a dishwasher....

Anna8888 · 24/08/2008 14:23

Once when there are three of us.

Twice and sometimes three times when there are five of us or more.

NotAnOtter · 24/08/2008 19:24

There are only 5 of us so once a day max. I sometimes just rinse it and leave it a bit longer. My aunt sometimes has all her meals at work because she works long hours. DH always has his evening meal at work and quite often has no breakfast. I think we would use it less if we ate off plates instead of bowls.

Judy1234 · 24/08/2008 19:36

Once a day - at the moment 4 of us. When my daughters were home and one's boyfriend earlier int he summer I was having to put it on twice a day however.

But only small family unfortunately and I should learn to read the entire category and title before replying so I don't look completely stupid. Sorry!

NotAnOtter · 24/08/2008 19:43

omg solo how lovely!!

do you wash up as well?

OP posts:
bagofhammers · 24/08/2008 19:43

I didn't read the topic either. It is my ambition to join the owls soon though . I had a friend when I was a school who had 2 dishwashers and they never put their things away in cupboards.

NotAnOtter · 24/08/2008 19:50

get working it on then bagofhammers!!!

that family sound fab!

Btw only once a day here....but we have loads of plates and cutlery.
Thats the trick you see, have tonnes of it all so you don't need to keep putting it on.

NotAnOtter · 24/08/2008 19:57

we do LTH - but the dw is full anyway!

I am one up on you now!!!!

boxofrogs · 24/08/2008 19:59

Two dishwashers? What a brilliant idea.

bagofhammers · 24/08/2008 20:00

And it doesn't really take up any more room if you use it as a cupboard too.
