I used to drive a Yaris but since having dd2 (have 4dc) and being a CM i have had to drive DH's Mercedes V Class.

I was terrified tbh as it is huge in comparison to my wee Yaris and it's an automatic. I will NEVER EVER drive a small car again. I love it!!

Nbg · 29/03/2008 10:36

We have a Jaguar and to be totally honest I would love for us to a have something like a Zafira but dh wont get rid of his precious car

totalmisfit · 29/03/2008 10:45

We don't have a car

4teenmum · 29/03/2008 11:51

I love my Zafira. Its much easier to park that the Galaxy I used to have. I have the diesel model so it is more economical to run.

I also like the fact that I can have a really big boot space for shopping/taking stuff to recycle when I don't have the children.

We have a smaller second car which my husband drives and soon we will have to insure for DDs (2 x 16.9) to learn to drive.

ScienceTeacher · 29/03/2008 12:20

I have a Citroen C8

jes74 · 29/03/2008 14:03

zafira which k to drive but we find horrible to use with dc as back seats have to stay up giving no boot space-my double only fits if i strip everything off it eg hood coseytoes then thats it boot full. and to put seats in back up and down is pain in ass as have to undoe car seats from the middle!the next car we get will have to have a bigger boot.

tulip31 · 29/03/2008 14:13

I have a 8 seat toyota previa, plenty of boot and leg space. Wanted a c8, but as dh is 6ft 6 I don't think my dc will be short, so needed the extra leg room!!

cazboldy · 29/03/2008 20:52

we have a nissan terrano - 7 seater 4x4

and WE LIVE ON A FARM!

Ceolas · 29/03/2008 22:09

I have a Zafira and find it too small. Severely restricts your pram choice, misdee!

BibiThree · 29/03/2008 22:10

Toyota Corolla Verso, love it.

WendyWeber · 29/03/2008 22:13

We've got a Zafira - mostly it's only me in it these days, but we can fit 6 of us in (all above 5'7 now) if necessary and it is SOOOO useful for shifting stuff about (though only when there aren't 6 people aboard of course)

How're you doing, misdee?

kid · 29/03/2008 22:16

I have a peugeot 406 but I want to get rid of it so I can get a new car!

Chuffinnora · 29/03/2008 22:16

I have a Honda Jazz and it is the most practical, economic and reliable car I've ever had but by god it is boring and mumsy.

themoon66 · 29/03/2008 22:19

I have this

I love it.

themoon66 · 29/03/2008 22:20

But I'm not a large family... obviously LOL

sorkycake · 29/03/2008 22:44

misdee I have a leetle question for you.

I read ages ago (and who knows why I remember such info, but i do) that you felt sick shortly after ovulating in your pregnancies, and this was a signal you were pg.

Has this pg been the same? Or is it a natural occurence for you after O'ing?

Feel free to tell me if i'm being nosy

liahgen · 29/03/2008 22:47

we have nissan serena 7 seats but will get a Previa when we need to upgrade to 8 seats.

anything you wanna tell us Sorky?

Ecmo · 29/03/2008 22:55

we have an 8 seater peugeot 806. Its big but still quite a squash with 4 children and two dogs in!

sorkycake · 29/03/2008 22:57

erm.....no

misdee · 30/03/2008 10:46

lol sorkycake, i basically start to feel sick about 5 days before AF is due if i am pregnant. this time was exactly the same. i went out with my sister 2 days before i tested, and it was like waves of travel sickness all the time.

back to cars...

i feel a bit sad that we are getting a zafira, as i'm not a big fan of them. would love something bigger with more space, and will be looking into a roofbox, as cant see how we can go on holidasy with 6 seats up.

sorkycake · 30/03/2008 11:43

I wouldn't get zafira, a friend of mine has one and the seats at the back are too close to the rear of the car, she doesn't like it and is planning to change it as soon as.

I think I'm either going for a Galaxy or XC90, not new obv, but will give me the room we need.

misdee · 30/03/2008 11:46

unfortunatly, we are limited by what we can afford on the mobility plan for the car. the zafira has £149 advance payment. i would;ve loved the citreon c4 grand picasso but it was out of our budget.

sorkycake · 30/03/2008 11:49

how's things then misdee?

all settling down I hope?

She does get very good mileage out of it and it hasn't broken down once on the plus side, which is rare for an mpv (mpg)

Anna8888 · 30/03/2008 11:52

Audi A6

If we have another child, we'll have to get something even bigger.

WendyWeber · 30/03/2008 12:55

Can you get a diesel engine, misdee? They're a lot cheaper to run, even now the price has gone up so much.
