not posted in a while.

ive got 2 kiddos. 4.5 and (nearly 2.5) 2.5 is a bit of a head case. I’ve always wanted 3.

im mid 30s.

i think i need to talk it out, if we go for it or not.

we earn ok, base 110k about 15/20k in bonuses between us but obviously that’s not a given (and we pay a massive amount in tax on those though)

ive you have 3 how do you holiday? im actually a bit worried we don’t earn enough too

@Desecratedcoconut I think I'd have an easier path through grief to happiness with less responsibility on me, yes.

Honestly OP it looks like you can and want a third. So go for it!
IMO holidays etc are small things as long as you accept you can't give them the world.
The bigger issue to me would be if you currently struggle with 2, which you don't!

I fluctuate between being happy with 2 then wanting 3.
I think I have made peace with the fact we are happy with 2. 3 would be a stretch, the children won't get as much attention with a 3rd around. Holidays much more expensive as well as nursery fees.

Recently found out I'm pregnant with a very unplanned number 3. Scared / worried if I have enough time for 3 children to give them all what they need. But positives we have enough space , money , big enough car and I know I will love this one fiercely so hopefully everything else will fall into place

Congratulations! My #2 child turned out to be twins so I know where you’re coming from with the unexpected third child. And when I was pregnant I read loads of these threads and got my head in an anxious mess but it is what it is, you will manage and you’ll have a lovely new little person to love.

I don’t get enough “me time” and occasionally the chaos does get to me. But I love them all intensely and wouldn’t change a thing. I find chatting to other mums of three is really helpful, they understand.

Thanks so much @TheMagicDeckchair I hope you gradually manage to get a bit more time to yourself x
