I thought you guys would be the best people to ask!

I'm looking at the Toyota Previa at the moment.

I have a 9 year old Galaxy and love it. I gather that Alhambras have better storeage though.

dont get a zafira. there is not enough boot space and moving the seats around requires a lot more swearing than it shows in the adverts.

chamaeleon · 28/03/2008 19:32

my post applies if you need to use the seats in the boot, otherwise its fine!

3littlefrogs · 28/03/2008 19:33

Galaxy. The seats come out easily.

VivalaDiva · 28/03/2008 19:33

The Renauklt Espace we had was great for storage but we wouldn't have anotrher, spent most of the alst few months in the garage.

We now have a Mitubishi Space Wagon and it's fab, first automatic we've had but really good- Dh after an Outlander next (will be in the future by a good few years though!) as it is so nice to drive.

VivalaDiva · 28/03/2008 19:43

Want to avoid a 4 x 4 if possible due to tax reasons and obviously saving the world. Would secretly love one though. Only have a budget of £7000 so going for second hand.

OP posts:
Peachy · 28/03/2008 19:44

We would have a 4X4 but that's mroe a lifestyle thing- ie we do actually spend time on the farm! Our space wagon isn't $X$ though and cost us £3k.

Peachy · 28/03/2008 19:45

$X$!!! 4X4 obviously.......

VivalaDiva · 28/03/2008 19:46

Oh it looked like a 4x4 in the photos. That's good then - I'll investigate.

we have a vw sharran t reg with 6 seats not seven (makes room for jane powertwin pushchair

jes74 · 28/03/2008 20:14

we have a zafira and if you need the back seats up like we do then it spants for storage, just hired a roof box for our holiday as there is nowhere to put any luggage.

SugaryBits · 28/03/2008 20:15

We are going to look at a Seat Alhambra and a Ford Galaxy tomorrow, can't decide between the two. what car is very good for looking at reviews.

Ceolas · 28/03/2008 20:33

We have 4 and I hate my Zafira.

Bebeconfort Loola is all I could fit in the boot. Then there's no room for anything else.

We had a VW Sharan which was great. I miss it but it was costing us lots laterally.

God knows how we'll manage going on holiday...

anynamewilldo · 02/04/2008 14:40

We have a vw sharan, i find it very limiting with space, i had a hatchback before and constantly complain about not having enough room for the monthly shopping if all of the seats are in.

But it has lots of room in between the rows of seats for bags/coats/toys. the space in the boot is just big enough for my double buggy (side by side) i cant fit a tandem in there.

we have 4 dcs and dc5 is due sometime in may.

tulip31 · 02/04/2008 16:36

I have a previa, and have a mothercare phonix tandam, maclaren ryder and assorted rubbish (shoes that need reheeling, reusable bags for shopping......)in the boot, also managed to get 3 full bags of food shopping in it today!!. Love my car, would recommend especially if children are or will be tall as all seats can be used by adults!

rowe · 02/04/2008 18:11

We have a nissan serena can just get twin 3 weeler side by side in we also had the graco dou and that went in well

PosieParker · 16/04/2008 19:34

I have a Renault Grand Espace 7 seater, however today I only have six seats, four at the back facing eachother. I love it, the seats are so easy to out in and out and move into any position that I can do it and I'm pregnant. It also get 5 stars on NCAP safety tests. All the seats are independent and the seatbelts are attached to the seat so you can move them backwards and forwards with a carseat in them.

PosieParker · 16/04/2008 19:35

I can get my massive Geisswein in the boot with all the seats in it.

margosbeenplayingwithmynoonoo · 16/04/2008 19:35

mazda 5?

VivalaDiva · 16/04/2008 19:38

Ooh just noticed this had been bumped up! We went for a Previa (8 years old) in the end. I love it so far - esp the way it's so tall and you can get it to do kids' seatbelts up etc. The only issue I have is the lap belt on the second row - am going to have to look round for a car seat that's suitable to put there.

Thanks!

Anyone want to buy my Volvo?

Idobelieveinfairies · 18/04/2008 09:30

Ohh i have a previa too, it is great, mine is an 8 seater. I love the way you can slide all the seats so that you can make a bigger or smaller boot area. Mine is a 2001, so around that age too! mine is platinum, and i loveeee it!..lol

I used to have a galaxy but find the previa much more roomier!

enjoy!
