Just recently had my bfp and it's just sinking in.... 4 under 6! Ds' will be 5, 4 and 2. Planned and much wanted but am I mad????

AllIWant85 · 10/07/2012 23:13

Yes! :o

Congratulations though on your bfp! :)

naturalbaby · 10/07/2012 23:18

Sounds better than 4 under 4's! I had 3 under 3's and had to seriously restrain myself.

Congratulations!

imip · 11/07/2012 10:07

Op, I have a 5,4,2 and five month old; so I think you are perfectly rational Wink

BeehavingBaby · 11/07/2012 10:21

Bonkers, but I am very very jealous Wink

harrygracejessica · 11/07/2012 13:52

Bonkers but I had 5 under 5 (nearly under 4) it's crazy but good fun.

KateShmate · 11/07/2012 14:01

I had 5 under 3.5, OP so I wouldn't say you were completely mad! Grin

Whenever it gets stressful, just remember how lucky you are to have 4 lovely children!
There are the stressful, and painful times when things get tricky, but those times are totally outweighed by all the lovely things that come with having a big family! :)

thefabfour · 11/07/2012 20:10

Completely insane! But you're in good company... I had 4 in 5 years. Enjoy it as it goes too quickly . My baby is now in Reception and I'm missing the chaos of their baby years. Congratulations!

TodaysAGoodDay · 11/07/2012 20:12

Yes, but congratulations. Smile There will always be someone to play with.

Northernlurker · 11/07/2012 20:15

Yes you're mad but congratulations anyway Grin I know somebody who had three under 2.

StealthToddler · 11/07/2012 21:00

Thanks all- am totally impressed with some of you guys. 5 under 3.5 is that possible? Triplets and twins?

OP posts:
KateShmate · 11/07/2012 21:04

3.5yo, 2yo and newborn triplets :)

pimmsgalore · 11/07/2012 21:32

totally mad but then so am I Grin

Just remember when it is hard that it is all worth it mine are now 11,9,8 & 5 and life is a lot easier. I did have a sudden horrible thought the other night at 2am when up with youngest who was ill. I woke DH up to tell him we would have 4 teenagers in the house at once Shock He was surprisingly calm about it, maybe it was the fact that it was 2am Grin

Thinkingof4 · 12/07/2012 13:33

Yes mad but I am a bit Envy
even if I got pg now mine would be just turned 6, 3 and 1 when baby arrived so I'll never be in 4 under 6 club! I'll go for 4 under 7 instead (and 3 under 4)
I'm a bit Shock at 5 under 3.5! Holy moly that must have been so hard!! Spontaneous triplets kateshmate ? yikes!

StealthToddler · 12/07/2012 20:40

kate I am actually speechless - and you have time to mumsnet? Am super impressed. How are you managing?

OP posts:
KateShmate · 12/07/2012 22:22

We're managing fine! I must admit that DTriplets turned 3 last month - still a handful but far easier than 3 newborns! :)

Jojay · 12/07/2012 22:27

It'll be great! I had 4 under 5 - DS1 4.8, DS2 2.9 then the twins arrived.

It's busy but very doable. The twins are nearly one now and it's much easier than the newborn days.

PipFEH · 13/07/2012 18:45

I'd love 4 under 6 (had 3 under 3), but I don't think it will happen for me. So, JEALOUS and congrats!

DiscoDaisy · 13/07/2012 18:49

I had 4 that were 4.1 and under and an older one! I survived!
It was easier when they were little compared to now (nearly 8 years on)

Yorky · 13/07/2012 18:58

Yes you're mad.
You'll have loads of fun
DD2 arrived 5yrs and 3months after DS1
I'm shattered (she is 11weeks old!) but wouldn't change any of them
DH is adamant we're done now though

eastendywendy · 13/07/2012 19:05

I only have 2 and won't have anymore but no, you're not mad. It'll be hard work for sure but also lovely.

Good luck!

harrygracejessica · 14/07/2012 09:16

I only had so many as had a 4 year old, twin girls were 2.5 then had twin boys. The boys are 1 now and it's much much easier now on proper food and a regular bedtime.

4kidsplusbump · 14/07/2012 12:12

Congratulations stealth

I have survived 4 under 6 - in fact mine were quite similar ages to yours when my 4th was born. I am currently 23 weeks with no.5! - my oldest has just turned 6, and others are 5, 2 and 1 next month.

Times can be crazy and the house is never quiet, and I am always busy - but I can't imagine life without my crowd!

Disco that worries me slightly that life has got harder as they are older Confused. I keep thinking things are just ticking along ok at the moment, but I have to admit that I do keep hoping that life when they all get to be teenagers is not going to be a complete nightmare - I know it's probably just wishful thinking!

bronze · 14/07/2012 12:14

Mine are now 9, 7, 5 and 3 and it's good having small gaps. Otherwise I could
See number 4 being a primary age and dv1 being a teen who wants nothin to do with them

insanityscratching · 14/07/2012 12:25

I had four under seven and it was hard work but now they are aged between 24 and 17 I'm laughing, so much so I had another who's now 9.
Enjoy, I feel quite envious to be honest because I have some really fond memories of shepherding a group of little ones about.

StealthToddler · 19/07/2012 21:29

Am secretly hoping for twins!
Twin girls would help even things up as I have 3 ds so far!
Lovely to hear just how much you have all enjoyed having them close together despite how hard it can be!
