EdnaClouds · 17/02/2012 15:13
because I'm really nosey!
I have 3 and 2 step kids so usually 5 most days of the week. I know that's not many at all really.
I wonder which MNer has the most dc?
DavidaCottonmouth · 17/02/2012 15:15
5 (all one set of parents)
But there are lots of bigger families on MN.
EdnaClouds · 17/02/2012 15:16
I love big families. In awe of the patents though.
EdnaClouds · 17/02/2012 15:17
*parents!
MUM2BLESS · 17/02/2012 20:30
I have a medium size family of four kids. I do not call that large. I am one of seven and my dad I believe was one of thirteen.
I am watching this space.
It would be interesting to know how many people have and how many did their own parents have. (just curious!!)
blameitonthecaffeine · 17/02/2012 22:05
5 here too (all girls between 2 and 13)
I think 5 is the limit of what's considered usual. I get the odd raised eyebrow for 5 but no real shock or amazement. I'd really like a 6th and, if I do, I would definitely consider myself to have a big family and expect a lot of surprise from people.
harrygracejessica · 19/02/2012 00:17
I've got 5 aswell but have 2 sets of twins and the eldest of 5 kids is 4. I'm finished reproducing now though. I would love more but my body says enough - and the bank accounts lol.
Ponders · 19/02/2012 00:43

BlueAndRedMakePurple · 22/02/2012 14:37
I am expecting number 4. Hardly large in the grand scheme of things but definitely considered large when you try to book a hotel room

This is a good thread to convince DH that our bun-in-the-oven DC3 will be a walk in the park, really....
Cuddler · 02/03/2012 10:11
I have 3 and another on the way.Dh was one of 6 and i only have one half brother who is 7 years younger so were not close, although we do get on well on the rare occasion we see each other.I didnt enjoy being in such a small family,my dh had a great time being in a large one,so it makes sense that we would have a few kids.
I think i would like 6,but you never know,it could be more or less.Im not sure i could be like the women on 15 kids and counting though,i think that would be a bit much for me.

I only have four but it seems to raise a few eye brows as being slightly out of the norm.
I think we have finished now though.

Bunbaker · 12/03/2012 21:55
"I've got 5 as well but have 2 sets of twins and the eldest of 5 kids is 4. I'm finished reproducing now though. I would love more but my body says enough - and the bank accounts lol."
. Do you ever get enough sleep? I'm in awe of so many littlies.
Lozario · 04/04/2012 20:59
I love this thread, find it really interesting. Can I ask - parents of 3 or more, did you find having kids easy right from your first? I have 2, would love another (one day!) but have really had moments after the first and second where I've really struggled and said, "never again". I worry that I don't have it in me for another! Am in absolute awe of parents of many!
harrygracejessica - OMG I'd love one-of-each twins next
DontHaveAtv · 11/04/2012 11:39
