continuing on from the last thread which morphed from a discussion about antisemitism to tracking it globally.

I’ve probably missed people out

to start off with something positive - this was a few yeshiva students response to antisemitism ❤️🕎

“Three Jewish college students from NJ were dancing at Denver International Airport. They said they were motivated to do this after the mass shooting in Australia: “We will not be scared or give in to the darkness, we will only add more and more light.” Happy Hanukkah!”

they’re playing my favourite zusha chanuka song, and one of them looks like DHs nephew who lives in America! Had to do a double take and check it wasn’t him!😆

And now there’s an AIBU on Kanye, apparently some people don’t believe there’s a good reason to ban him from entering the county…

Of course. Under the guise of "free speech", which is nonsense.

It just makes me think that the music industry must be really horrible. It's not just one person. KW works with other musicians, management, staff, producers, promoters and so forth. All of these people were OK with the behaviour, didn't care because they wanted the money, or at best turned a blind eye.

This has crossed my mind too. How many enabling people with weak morals there must be.

I wonder about those people who enabled the albums with offensive tracks, the people who printed those t-shirts of his with swastikas, those who still engaged with and employed him knowing how vile his statements were.
As Wes Streeting said, those Wireless organisers should be ashamed.

I'm listening to Zack Polanski live, as he launches the local government election campaign for the Greens. His first point? Sanctions against Israel and "ending the Genocide". Local elections.

BrinkWomanship · 09/04/2026 10:59

Ugh he’s despicable.
There isn’t and never was a genocide.
And there’s a ceasefire.

I know you know this but thank you for allowing me to vent slightly.

My pleasure ☺️.
I just thought it was absolutely pathetic but sadly predictable.

The Green Party can get in the bin!

They are local elections. The candidates should be talking about recycling, roads, social housing - things that local councils actually control. Any candidate that mentions Gaza or Israel automatically loses my vote.

Exactly my thoughts - recycling, traffic controls, public transport, parks etc.
Not Gaza.

I'm not sure I could bear to listen to him. There would be a lot of shouting and raging, and a frantic search for the 'OFF' button.

OrangeAxolotyl · 09/04/2026 17:42

It was just predictable, really. They're no longer a "green" party as far as I'm concerned.

EllaDisenchanted · 12/04/2026 08:32

i can't access it.
From the pic it looks like it's referencing the Margate one, as it's crude crayon writing saying antisemitic art exhibition this way, in the same crude crayon style as the Margate 'art'.

Does this work?
reported ‘anti-Semitic’ art show to the police. Now they are investigating me www.telegraph.co.uk/gift/4ee480d036ad6598 Gifted Telegraph article about police being crap about antisemitism

Apparently a woman encouraged people to use her template to complain to Kent police about the exhibition and they got so many complaints they decided it was a Distributed Denial of Service attack.

So because they're IT is shoddy, rather than deal with the antisemitic exhibition, or reflect on the number of people who agree that it was a hate crime, Kent police went after the woman who wrote the template (though sounds like they're backing down).

Such an embarrassment

Thank you for the gifted links to the article. What a depressing read. The annoying thing is that after the Kanye thing, people seem to think that Jews are getting extra special treatment and most people won’t know that it’s the complete opposite.

OrangeAxolotyl · 15/04/2026 19:46

Finchley Reform Synagogue hit with petrol bombs.
The hate has been enabled.

Nosejobnelly · 15/04/2026 20:46

So upset about the FRS attempted bombing - it’s just down the road from me 😢

My sympathies, it must be terrifying. Men in balaclavas with petrol bombs?
Horrifying. I hope they're caught.

InertBird · 15/04/2026 23:35

Two people arrested (man and woman in their 40s) in Watford for the attempted fire bombing in Finchley - no further details about who they are yet. If Keir Starmer turns up saying there's no place in our country for antisemitism I think I'll scream. DO SOMETHING.

EdithStourton · 16/04/2026 07:36

ErroltheSwampDragon · 12/04/2026 08:52

That is absolutely shocking. First their inaction about the exhibition, and then going after someone who organised complaints.

Diamond82 · 18/04/2026 20:25

There’s a video going round on social media of an Israeli couple eating in a restaurant, it may be in Vietnam. They were subjected to the most horrendous antisemitic abuse from some British people, you don’t see the British people on the video but they sound like two females. I’ve watched the full version somewhere on instagram and it’s absolutely sickening.
