Seriously. Is it the same few people just name changing or is it really this toxic in the UK? There is so much poisonous Jewish hatred on here. I'm not talking hatred of Israel, just vile antisemitism on so many posts now.

I truly think I have to step away before I lose faith in humanity. Why does MN seem to attract so many hateful posters? Maybe it's the anonymity.

I can't keep calling it out. Im exhausted and actually deeply disturbed by it now.

I reported a horrible libel against a named Jewish person and MN said they’d only take it down if the report came from him directly. So now I have to decide whether to send him what these horrible trolls are saying about him or not. They put everything on us.

Yes, this is what's so frustrating. Sometimes MN is great for learning and there are genuinely very knowledgeable and informed posters amongst the bluster. There were a couple of Jewish women who posted frequently just after 7/10 and some of their posts on the history of the region were invaluable to me, but they haven't been back. I think one was an academic (or expert anyway) on Middle East history and politics and her posts were excellent.

The comments about the named Jewish person I saw, but it's been deleted now. Afraid to say I've found many of his views and comments on social media highly iffy myself over the last 5 years or so, but obviously that's just my opinion.

@WibbleWobbleFlop Yes, they are definitely getting worse.

But! I've said this before - the support between us Jews (and many allies on here) has been comforting and genuinely helpful. I guess we all sit at different ends - and many in between - of the political spectrum, including how we feel about Israel and the conflict, but I haven't seen that make any difference at all to how we actually engage with each other. All I've seen is respect between Jewish women and it's uplifting.

The derailing I just find funny now - it's frustrating but it's almost always by the same people that are the first to complain about derailing on other threads.

I think that amongst Jewish women here and amongst other Jewish friends, family and colleagues we all understand that we all want peace but that we may have different views on how to achieve it. That keeps a degree of unity.
"An argument for the sake of heaven" so to speak. Maybe during normal times we might get frustrated and disagree but at awful times like this there is understanding that what unites us is far greater than what divides us.

Whereas out there people seem to just want to tear us down.

Quite - the 'I'm being bullied' is just manipulation though and obviously so. One of them all but admitted last night they've been prowling over here - which is shitty behaviour but also made me burst out laughing because they tried not to make it looks obvious. Can only suggest using a different username between this board and that one to ward off the stalking.

@Towerofsong Agreed - the unity brings a lot of comfort to boot.

Some posters are piling in on Jewish posters as a sort of tag team. Happened just now in one of the threads. I am staying off them now as for all I know, there may be one poster using 5 user names interchangeably to wade in.

That’s one of the ways the Labour Party was found to illegally discriminate against Jews, where people reporting hate were treated worse & with more suspicion than the accused

I didn't know this. Some posters absolutely will not back down and accuse the poster who complained about feeling intimidated as using intimidating tactics and censoring others!

Why is MN allowing it? I am so glad I have found this safe haven - I have been getting really upset.

Stalked on here too? Unbelievable. On another thread, they are talking about reporting Islamophobia to equivalent agencies yet I was threatened with suspension by MN for my comment.

The one comparing Israel with Russia ? Gone thank goodness. Previously banned poster seemingly. Presumably quite a few of us reported it as on the email received from MN it mentioned ‘a bulk email’ being sent out.

I do find it depressing that every thread I've seen expressing concern or sadness for the hostages has then been overtaken by antisemitic posters. It feels like the MN equivalent of ripping down posters of the hostages.

That's exactly what it feels like. I rarely go to that part of the site anymore.
