Anyone preparing for a frozen embryo transfer in the next few weeks

My period should be here in the next few days meaning i’ll start prep for frozen transfer number two!
Looking for anyone else in the same time frame to support each other?

Need ivf as i have no tubes and had a failed transfer in July. I also might have APS so im on clexane and aspirin.

Hi all, hoping I can join as I had my FET on Tuesday which was 13th, so I am 3dp5dt today. On previous transfers this is the point I normally start spiralling and thinking about testing. I plan on not testing early this time though, which means I have to wait until next weekend…..x

Thank you. It’s my first time doing IVF so I have no idea how my body will respond to the medication etc. Feeling nervous but also pretty excited! We’ve done our IVF abroad, so I’ll be flying out for my transfer.

You’ve got this! It’s an interesting experience but keep in touch with people and it should help. Are you staying there or flying back after transfer?

My first transfer was a fresh embryo. I only produced 3 eggs out of which 2 made it to blastocyst stage. I had one successful fresh transfer and this is my second FET.

Ahh thank you and good luck! It’s been a long journey for us to get to this point so I’m really praying it’s our time. Originally the plan was for me to have a fresh transfer but it got cancelled since my body wasn’t in peak condition after egg collection. I’ll be flying back two days after the transfer 🤞

I don’t have the patience. I Amazoned tests even though I said to myself I will not test! I’m aiming to test tomorrow but will try holding off if I can x

So my progestone the day before transfer was 70.. they said anything above 30 is ok and 50 is perfect so that reassured me.
We ended up transferring a day 6 embryo as that was better quality and they said there’s no/very little difference between day 5/6 success but getting a call from the lab team in the day of transfer certainly had my heart going 😬🙄
Today i am 3 days past and have started to spiral and nearly tested 🤦🏼‍♀️
I am going to try and wait to OTD which is 27th October.
I was a serial tester back in july but it made me feel so down when no line appeared and i ended up stopping meds a few days earlier.
I am so tired from the progestone.. i fell asleep at 9pm and slept through until my alarm at 08.30.
I have also eaten everything in my house and have put on 8lbs in a week 🐷🙄😬

Awww lovely. I know how you’re feeling. They don’t test progesterone at my clinic. They just transfer with the hope it’s all okay. I am extremely sleepy with the progesterone too. I gave in and tested 4DP5dt it was a BFN now I’m spiralling. I had cramping with my last successful transfer. This would be my last FET so really hopeful but at the same time lost hope already. It’s so difficult 🤞😫

I’ve also eaten everything I can get my eyes on!! Hopefully the 8lbs is just bloat and water retention. But what we have to go through is not easy.

4 days past is still very early though- try not to test again but i know it’s easier said then done.
Currently sat eating a terrys chocolate orange because i think i deserve it after all ive been though 🤣

Thank you! Why not eh! I’ve eaten so much rubbish today but then came across a post about a Mediterranean diet and pomegranate juice + spiralled again. Haha

the next 24-48 hours will be really testing.

I’ve also just eaten the treats and crap food post transfer! I’ve had fruit/veg/fibre but I also think this process is so hard why make it harder without a nice treat! And I cut out all processed food last time which didn’t work anyway🙄😂
I will be testing tomorrow, very nervous as all symptoms just seem to be progesterone related so have been doing a lot of spiralling too.

Yeah maybe just give it a bit longer if you can, although I know that must be really hard once you’ve already tested. How many days past transfer did your clinic want you to test? It seems to vary.

clinic have advised to rest 12days post transfer which is around the 26/10. Not sure I can hold off for that long but I shall try lol

Thank you. I took a test with my husband this morning as he just felt he’d rather know now. The cheaper test my clinic gave me is positive albeit it’s not a blazing positive so I got myself panicked and ran out to buy a better test. Clearblue digital is showing pregnant 2-3 weeks though! Tentatively excited, but I can’t fathom if it should be 3+ weeks because it was a five day embryo. I’ll speak to my clinic this morning but for now we’re trying to just be happy that this is the first positive we’ve ever seen!

I am so happy for you guys and it’s truly a blessing when you see that positive. It’s normal to start reading into it. I’m sure it’s fine! Check again in 48 hours and the line should get darker. It’s rubbish we don’t have a HCG done routinely in the UK.

I tested this morning … a very pale line but again only 5DP5DT. Im ecstatic but at the same time its very early!

Thank you. I still can’t wrap my head around it! I called the clinic and the nurse said they just time things differently to the clear blue tests, so nothing to worry about. But I think I may buy some non digital tests and test again in a couple of days like you say, to see if it gets darker.

I know, I wish I could get bloods taken. My clinic only offers HCG blood with the consultant led IVF protocol.
