@KP1091 so sorry you’re still going through this uncertainty. Have your clinic given you an inkling of how it may go?

Progesterone question.

78 on Monday
54 yesterday (3dp 5dt)

what are other peeps clinics progesterone levels does anyone know? I’m taking Cyclogest 400mg pessaries x2 morning and evening xx

Lucky444 · 26/06/2026 16:56

@Umbrellaladi a lot of clinics don’t re check prog level because there is little research in to what the level should be after transfer . However before transfer the clinics I know of there cut off is 30 or 45 not sure about elsewhere x

PlanBFertility26 · 26/06/2026 17:03

@Umbrellaladi that seems really low. Did the clinic say anything? Mine was over 200

@Umbrellaladi that seems really low. Did the clinic say anything? Mine was over 200

They said stay with the same meds.

Mine is a donor egg FET-do you think it makes a difference?

On Saturday I saw two of the pessaries had melted away very quickly and reapplied then and I’m wondering if that gave the higher reading for Monday. I felt really sick on Saturday night. I know now the majority of the dose has been absorbed after around 15-20 mins.

mumtrovert · 26/06/2026 17:28

@jenk91 yaaay for some progress. I bet it’s felt like such a long wait. Everything crossed for you. I felt so sick in the morning waiting to hear about my last one too. I’m sure it’ll all be fine x

@KP1091 did it double or close to? Everything crossed for Monday

@Umbrellaladi I haven’t had my progesterone checked since the day before transfer. May be worth scouring other forums etc? Was your clinic happy with it?

Lucky444 · 26/06/2026 17:29

@Umbrellaladi
Honestly I wouldn’t worry at all lots of clinics don’t check progesterone after transfer , mine wasn’t checked . Yours was a good level before transfer that’s all that matter and still a great level after ! Xx

Umbrellaladi · 26/06/2026 17:38

@Lucky444
yeah I wouldn’t normally. The clinic checked it after transfer because it’s the last lot of eggs from my daughter’s donor.xx

KP1091 · 26/06/2026 17:49

@mumtrovert it did double so I’m still clinging to hope

@PlanBFertility26 on wed they were preparing me that it hadn’t worked and I would likely start bleeding and have a chemical. Today they’re more concerned about an ectopic but they’ve said they really don’t know at this point. So if Monday the numbers are still rising, I’ll probably get sent to the early pregnancy unit at the hospital for an ultrasound to check the location

PlanBFertility26 · 26/06/2026 18:04

@KP1091 so sorry it’s dragging on for you. Praying for a happy ending for you x

@Umbrellaladi I haven't had my progesterone checked at all. I take utrogestan pessaries three times a day and inject lubion every evening.

Blueskycat · 26/06/2026 18:20

@KP1091so sorry to hear about the continued uncertainty, sounds like a positive sign that it doubled... We’re holding onto the hope with you!

@jenk91 nearly there now, glad your lining got there! I totally get you on fear of final embryo thawing ok, this was my final embryo too and felt different without a ‘back-up’ option.

I’m sorry for my part in the Lubion fear-mongering too 😂 I got used to it very quickly it’s just part of the routine now. And agree with @Starsandmoonalways that it feels more purposeful after transfer too.

SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite · 26/06/2026 19:31

@UmbrellaladiI would ask your clinic what level they aim for on progesterone as the approach seems to vary between clinics and as others have said there’s mixed data on effect. Mine aims for things to be on the high side (above 100) but their actual minimum cut-off is 30. Also assuming things go well even with a medicated cycle your body starts producing its own progesterone (mine nearly quadrupled between 10DPT and 14DPT, they tested alongside beta). So here’s hoping for natural production to kick in soon 💫✨💕

@jenk91echoing others who have said starting progesterone was a relief! I felt like I’d had a massive chill pill and it definitely made me a lot calmer than I would have otherwise been for the transfer (although I was so uncharacteristically calm that was a bit weird!). It was a silver lining for sure 😅

keeping everything crossed for you @Shefftersxx

Umbrellaladi · 26/06/2026 21:00

@SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite thats good to know thank you!!

@Sheffters really hoping this is good news and not an ectopic everything crossed for you xx

update-clinic advised to take 1 extra pessary per day.

for context I’m 53 and had treatment over many years and have also never had a progesterone checked post transfer but they did one this time xx

Sheffters · 27/06/2026 09:24

Morning all, unfortunately my betas can back at 14 so this pregnancy won't continue. We had already prepared ourselves for this so it doesn't hurt as much as it did back in April. We are going to look into egg donation due to my age.

Wishing you all successful journeys xx

TheNavyFatball · 27/06/2026 09:25

I’m so sorry @Sheffters😔
I wish you every success with egg donation but appreciate that will feel a long way away today. Take care of yourself. X

Sheffters · 27/06/2026 09:26

PlanBFertility26 · 27/06/2026 13:42

@Sheffters sorry to read this. Seeing a positive and then having it snatched away is a whole new level of hurt. Sending love x

@Sheffters I'm so sorry to hear this. I was in the same boat some years ago-it took me a while to then grapple with DE but I’m so glad I did. I wish you every success Xxx
