Hi ladies,

Starting early with this thread in hope some are on a similar time frame!

36yo, been trying to conceive for 2yrs. Severe MFI as well as AFC of 3 and AMH of 1.9pmol/l

First IVF cycle with ICSI ended with a total failed fertilisation - 4 eggs collected, all mature but no fertilisation.

We have now switched to long cycle and added in DHEA, COQ10, melatonin, vitamin D, omega 3 alongside our fertility vitamins.

I should start my period end of Jan; and then start down-regulating February with transfer hopefully late February if I’ve worked it out right!

Anyone else on this mental torture of a ride?

Congratulations. A little update from me:

So we only got 1 egg fertilised out of 11 and I was told that they were planning to do the transfer on day 2. Day 2 came and they told me that the embryo was not dividing properly and to wait until day 3. Day 3 came and I got an update to say the embryo was growing but the cells were continuing to divide abnormally. Day 4 comes and they tell me that there is evidence that a morula was forming but it still contained fragmentation, and they expect that the embryo would discard the fragmentation at this point. The fragmentation was both large cells and smaller ones. The clinic told me that the embryo has lost between 30 to 40 percent of itself due to fragmentayio. I was utterly hopeless at this point so I told the clinic to cancel the provisionally booked transfer appointment. They refused and it is just aswell that they did. My 5 day update was that my little embryo had developed really well overnight and was now a graded 4aa blastocyst. Being shocked is an understatement. The clinic were also surprised because this is so unlikely. My 4aa little bean was transfered yesterday ❤️ fingers crossed that beanie sticks but I know I have a little fighter xx

I had my day three scan this morning and looks ok to go ahead. Provisional transfer date is 4th March- exciting and a bit scary!

@PrincessofLiechtenstein exciting! You’re about two weeks ahead of me, my provisional transfer is 17th March

I have 3 days left of norethisterone and I have literally felt like utter 💩💩 the entire time I’ve been taking it so roll on Saturday tbh!

@Nobodyknowsitall wow, what a rollercoaster. Are they not worried little
embryo may continue to grow abnormally as its journey has been an unique one so far?

My update: As of yesterday i'm officially PUPO & in the TWW, Athough clinic said I can test on day 12 which makes it 02/03 but I certainly will be testing early 🤣
Any symptoms you have noticed for the ladies in the TWW?

@ivfjourneyandme they didn't say they were worried. They said they an embryo has a way of correcting itself and discarding crappy cells and it looks like this one did judging by the quality of the embryo. It's just nuts and I still can't really believe it. Still a long way to go though xx

@Nobodyknowsitall how absolutely amazing. Nothing sort of a miracle. I have everything crossed that little bean stays nice and sticky 🥰🥰

@Nads2210 Congratulations! Wishing you lots of patience in your TWW. It seems really random what the clinics advise as an appropriate wait time until OTD... seems like anything from 9 to 15 days goes, so your 12 is a happy middle 😊

@captainsmal I feel for you, don't have a good word to say about the Norethisterone! Hang in there, not long now. For me the stim time was a lot easier, hope this will be the case for you 🤞

I'm doing okay, just counting down days. I'm dealing with some abdominal pain / tenderness but trying not to read too much into it, it may very well be residual after EC!
I am testing the Ovitrelle out, but nothing conclusive yet... the lines are very faint, so now it's just a matter of waiting a few days.
Either they'll disappear, or come back / get stronger. Most ladies on my clinic's FB group say they had an inkling by 8dpt 🤔

@Happibara did you get bad side effects too? I feel like I’m going insane cos so many others seem to have no problem with it but I’ve been like crying, depressed, cramping and boobs like hell etc all week now!
how many days post transfer are you now? I did see the trigger can take up to 14 days to leave the system. Hopefully you get your bfp soon!

Oh ps forgot to add I did hear stims are way easier mentally so 🤞🏻🤞🏻! I think that’ll just be more physical side effects like the bloating etc which I can deal with

@Nads2210 in on TWW, 7 days post and I just feel bloated boobs hurt, VERY emotional, slight twinges here and there, tired, occasionally dizzy, thirst… also all could be side effects of progesterone .. oh and don’t mention the 💩 😬

found out that my one blastocyst is abnormal. I think this is the end of the IVF journey (and maybe Baby#2) journey. My heart is broken into so many ways. But thank you for the brief bit of comfort this forum brought. Good luck to all of you on this journey

I have my first monitoring scan tomorrow which will be day 8 of stims (well the scan is in the morning so before I do my injections that day so it will be 7 days of stims I guess). Ive been feeling less exhausted since on the stims (down regulation really got to me after the first week) but my legs and lower back have been achy which is not a symptom I expected!

Lol the 💩 started not long after i started cyclogest!but deffinatly more since yesterday!
Oohh hopefully these are all positive signs & symptoms!!🤞🏼
