IVF/ICSI/FET December 2024

Any peeps having IVF/ICSI/FET in Dec.
I am due to start meds 1st Dec this will be my frozen transfer from my 2nd cycle in August have stocked up on beetroot and pomegranate juice, looking for any tips 🙏🏼

Feeling very upset 6dp5dt today. Lots of period-like pains in my tummy and back. Feeling very negative all of a sudden and disheartened! I had a successful transfer last time around with no cramps at all!

@ali2021 try not to symptom spot, each time can be very different from what I'm reading. I wish I had personal experience to advise but I don't.

Unfortunately it transpires that my progesterone was 7.5 on the day of transfer... apparently critically low. Supposedly my clinic doesn't transfer if less than 20.
I was so heightened this afternoon and caved and tested... stark white test. I know its early at 6dp5dt, but id have expected to see some kind of faint line. A beautiful, hatched, euploid embryo.. our last one. My husband is holding out hope, but I'm not. Negative test, critically low progesterone + cramping. I'm devastated, and absolutely furious at my clinic for their negligence.

@ali2021 oh wow why on earth did they not tell you, did they prescribe progesterone injections to raise it ?

@charja100 oh gosh I didn’t realise you had just transferred! Got everything crossed for you.. it sounds like you’ve been through a lot to get to this point. Hope the Christmas period is a bit of a distraction (appreciate it can just heighten emotions)!

@ali2021 I'm so sorry this happened, fingers crossed there's still time for that positive test but I know how you will be feeling in your mind

Were you on progesterone pessaries? My clinic didn't test progesterone the day of transfer, I don't think they did last time either. I just had bloods done on day 12, transfer day there was nothing done other than popping embryo back in

Officially 1dp5dt for me today. Woke up so many times last night worried it wasn't working, going to be a long few days waiting for testing

FET today ☺️ Let's hope this little embryo sticks in time for Christmas 🎄 🙏

Yes New Year's Eve for me 😋 I actually wanted to have FET over this time of year so I can rest during Xmas ☺️

@pinksheetss congrats on being PUPO! And you were in and out so quickly! I had a really bad night sleep the night of transfer but slept better last night.

@ali2021 I'm so sorry that your progesterone numbers were low. There is still hope as 6dp5dt is still early, but I can understand wanting to protect your heart.

@Whysitsohard91 thank you so much 🙏 haven't felt anything at all the last two days but having some weird pulling in my left hand side tonight. Probably nothing and just meds but feels different.

@camelinastorm OTD is New Year's Eve for me but that's 13DP5DT which is so late. I've never lasted that long so know I'll test early. Im not sure whether testing ahead of Xmas day or even on Xmas day will ruin Christmas so working that through in my head atm.

Sadly mine was BFN , which I was somewhat expecting but hey ho. From a bit of googling my age is the main cause of our poor quality slow embryos so we've decided to do one more round then start looking at donor eggs.

@Confusedddddddd I'm so sorry. I'm 39 and our first two rounds weren't great quality embryos. We were lucky that the kitchen sink approach on last round of EC has given us many more and also better embryos for this last cycle. If you search by my name I've detailed the changes we made in this thread somewhere. We also discussed using donor eggs after our second round of EC if were not successful with this round.

Thank everyone! I'm sad but I kind of expected it since the day of our transfer when we were told the embryos weren't looking great, so I was prepared for the news.

@OrientalPinkLily I'm 39. I had conceived my dd naturally at 35 nearly 36, then got pregnant first try/accidenta at 37 but it was ectopic and I lost my tube to my good ovary and I haven't been able to get pregnant since. We really expected our issues were mechanical rather than the eggs but we were proven wrong.

@charja100 I'll have a look - I don't think we need to do anything like ICSI as we had 100% fertilisation. I'm already taking 300mg CoQ10 and vegan DHA but I'll have a look at the others.

bit of a lurker, find it hard to keep up with all the messages but it helps having other cycle buddies that I know are going through the same difficult journey as me.

i am 12dp5dt and tested positive on 9dp5dt (otd), having a beta done today. Have been testing everyday and thankfully getting darker but I am so on edge as this is our 6th transfer and have had 3 chemicals. X

Kind of gross question... I am 4dp5dt (FET on Friday 20th) with OTD as 31/12

Anyway! Today I have had lots of discharge down below (no blood just clear), it's similar to the feeling and texture of ovulation 🤔

Could this be a poisitive sign? I don't want to test until OTD on New Year's Eve 🙏

@Lil89 I transferred 12/18 so I'm a day ahead. I've also been having more discharge too. And cramps on and off in my left hand side. My clinic have told me OTD is New Year's Eve but I've already tested today as I have no will power 🙈

We swear we see a very very faint line so I'm holding onto hope that it keeps getting darker. I had a transfer this time last year that ended as an early loss at 6+2 so I'm really nervous.l that this could be the same. Really hoping this might finally be my time 🤞

Oh I hope it's good news for you! I am adamant to rest and test on NYE  I tested too much and too early last time and I really regretted it 😭

@CherryBerryBoo welcome and congratulations! How was your beta testing? Everything OK?
@Lil89 I am googling and googling on that as I also have a lot of discharge but you know how it is, they are all potentially positive signs but can be a result of medication etc. So, I can't drive a conclusion. I am also holding off testing until otd which is Friday 😱 so stressed about it.
@charja100 wishing you all the best, hope this line will get darker and darker and that you will have a successful pregnancy, all my fingers crossed for you!

Yes! I saw the same but I'm not taking any meds with my FET 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm just going to let it go and rest until OTD

@Lil89 yes I found more discharge like sometimes I'd be like shit have I just peed myself 🤣
