@ivfjourneyandme yay!! Great news! Very happy for you! I'm so glad there is a plan and that you will try again soon!

ivfjourneyandme · 18/12/2024 19:29

@charja100 excited but so nervous!!

PrincessofLiechtenstein · 18/12/2024 20:09

That's great @ivfjourneyandme really pleased the new consultant is more empathetic. Did they order any more tests for you or your DH? Do you mind if I ask what vitamins she has recommended?

I spoke to the nurse about my transfer and she confirmed that they won't start with my next cycle as they want me to have a break month, so looking at transfer end Feb I think.

Well done @charja100 hope the tww isn't too painful. At least you will have Christmas to distract you!

Whysitsohard91 · 18/12/2024 20:52

Hi @charja100 I'm Northampton Care too! Agreed they seemed quite grumpy about the whole thing.. I am glad to go ahead because I’ve been waiting a while for various reasons and often have super long cycles but this one was shorter so I wasn’t expecting it. We’ve been really ill and so I’m a bit worried it’s a crazy time of year to try. It’s a bit of a long thread so I haven’t read your back story but sounds like you’re waiting to FET?

tpeas · 18/12/2024 21:15

Good luck ladies transferring and in 2WW, you've got this, hopefully test day and a good result will be here before you know it. Keeping my fingers crossed for you all!

ivfjourneyandme · 18/12/2024 21:40

@PrincessofLiechtenstein
They’ve recommended -
I'm on -
DHEA 25mg x 3
Melatonin 5mg x 1
Q10 100mg x 2 (Ulbquinol form)
Vitamin D 1000iu x 1
Omega 3 1000mg x 1

No further tests advised. Changing to long protocol and switching drugs, starting on higher doses from day 1 too. He mentioned using both natural and synthetic FSH/LH as well but waiting for his report and prescription to see

PrincessofLiechtenstein · 18/12/2024 22:14

Thanks @ivfjourneyandme that's really helpful. Did they prescribe the melatonin? Not sure how easy it is to get it here but I might have some in the back of the cupboard.

It all sounds really positive. Do you know when you'll be starting?

camelinastorm · 18/12/2024 22:21

@PrincessofLiechtenstein if you know anyone over in the states they could fetch you melatonin over it's an over the counter med there and easy to get, also really cheep

@ivfjourneyandme I'm so so please for you! And it's great to be excited again. I just knew there was so much more they could do. Great to see they've recommended melatonin. Honestly. I would take 600 mg COq10, I was told to up each cycle and the one that's worked well I was taking 700 on some days as I had 100mg ones left over and bought some super strength ubiquinol 300mg tablets. I recommend doing your own research and considering the increase dose. I wish I had done so on my second round instead of waiting until my third.

@PrincessofLiechtenstein thank you. And great news re having a plan for your next cycle. My clinic always wanted me to have a break too. It gives you some time to get vitamins into your body if that's something that you were thinking of doing which is always a silver lining! They say three months for some vitamins to start to take effect and make changes.

@Whysitsohard91 ahhh clinic buddy! Yeah I don't know why but sometimes they can be pretty moody there. They have some better nurses than others. They did the same to me saying I wouldn't get my transfer in which is why I warned... obviously it worked out in the end as I had my FET today! it was all more stressful than it should of been or needed to be. This is my 5th transfer from 3 ECs. First with a confirmed euploid embryo and also now on immune protocol after lots of testing this year before my last EC to see what the issues might be.

I'm so hopeful - it's going to break me if it isn't my time again.

ivfjourneyandme · 19/12/2024 07:56

@PrincessofLiechtenstein i ordered mine off biovea - they have a UK site too. No prescription needed 😃

Will be starting down regulating in Feb I reckon x

Magix86 · 19/12/2024 08:47

Good luck to everyone having transfers and in the 2ww!
@ivfjourneyandme I'm so pleased your clinic worked out a new plan for you 💓

Just a little update from me...It's our official test day and we got our BFP! Need to do another on Sunday to be sure and then contact the clinic for next steps

ivfjourneyandme · 19/12/2024 08:58

Congratulations @Magix86 !!!

OrientalPinkLily · 19/12/2024 09:55

Amazing news @Magix86 yaaaay!

pinksheetss · 19/12/2024 10:27

Amazing congratulations @Magix86

I'm at the clinic just now awaiting transfer. Appointment is at 10.30 so shouldn't be long but the nerves are kicking in. The bladder is getting full and I think I'm getting too nervous that I need the toilet in other ways now so that's the main thing stressing me out. I have done this before so I should know the deal

pinksheetss · 19/12/2024 11:02

Officially PUPO and that's me out now so 30 mins total with nurses checks and embryo transfer
3AA on board so fingers crossed for a sticky! Good luck to everyone else ❤️

camelinastorm · 19/12/2024 11:25

I'm 5 days past 5 days transfer sites say to test from today ......... I don't dare as really feel it's too early, but also want to know this is so hard

OrientalPinkLily · 19/12/2024 12:16

@pinksheetss congratulations! All the best!
When is your testing day??

@camelinastorm oh do they? I'm 6 days post transfer. I think I'll try to hold off and test on the official day (if I can 😬)

pinksheetss · 19/12/2024 12:37

Official test day is 3rd January which is a long while away and I know I won't make it that long.
Last time I tested 6dp5dt and got a positive then, so will be hard not to do it the same day

NouvelleNovice · 19/12/2024 14:29

I couldn’t wait, tested day 5 after 5dt but negative, now day 12 and positive. So far so good but after so much negativity over the last few years I’m finding it really hard to be excited or even hopeful. My clinic don’t test serum bHCG so just have to wait until scan on 8th Jan to see if it sticks!

Magix86 · 19/12/2024 14:39

Congrats on the transfer @pinksheetss !

Also to @NouvelleNovice - that's great news.
I was also negative on day 5 but positive since day 6. I don't think my clinic do bloods either, so also in that very anxious wait!

pinksheetss · 19/12/2024 14:47

I think day 6 is when I would at least manage to wait it out til, it works out at Christmas Day though I think so wondering if that's a good thing to distract myself or if it's negative if it will ruin the day for me

NouvelleNovice · 19/12/2024 14:50

@Magix86 thank you, I find it comforting that other people are in the same boat - not that I'd wish this on anyone but I hope you know what I mean!

@pinksheetss if it's negative it may just be too early on day 6, depends what kind of person you are, I need to know stuff - good and bad but I guess that risks extra stress if its negative but just too early, I'm sure you will find what is right for you but it is hard at this time of year when you're not the only one counting days!!

OrientalPinkLily · 19/12/2024 15:00

Congratulations @NouvelleNovice great news!
I usually want to know everything but I'm afraid of the disappointment if I get a negative and I wouldn't be able to think of anything else.

Laura2301 · 19/12/2024 15:13

Trasnfer went well... we was the last transfer of 24, got to mean something right?! Now the dreaded wait! xx
