Any peeps having IVF/ICSI/FET in Dec.
I am due to start meds 1st Dec this will be my frozen transfer from my 2nd cycle in August have stocked up on beetroot and pomegranate juice, looking for any tips 🙏🏼

one egg died during ICSI and other 3 don’t fertilise

Thinking of you all, especially with all those who did not make it successfully this time round.

Went for my transfer.
Internal scan.
Was told that my ovaries were floating and were very large. They measured 250mls of water.
So a frozen transfer is needed.

Gutted but understand why. Still disappointing.

4 embryos made it that are frozen.
Stopped the pessaries.
More clexane for the next week.

@camelinastorm we are private. First of 4 cycles. Reception going to ring me Monday to make appointment with consultant. Going to buy the ‘it starts with an egg’ book and use it as a kick to try and get super healthy to see if helps

So sorry to hear that @ivfjourneyandme - hope you can take care of yourself as it’s such a hard journey. Hopefully they might work out some changes if you wanted to try another round (but totally understand if you don’t want to think about that just yet)

@tpeas , if I remember rightly we’re similar age and AMH level? I hope so anyway as gives me hope to cling onto! 😂 x

@ivfjourneyandme I took CoQ10, vit d, vit e, omega 3 and a few others for 3 months before my second EC the first one I got quite low grade embryos that failed to implement well one was chemical, the next one I managed to get 12 with 4 great quality blasts so I truly believe vitamins work, are they not able to speak to you today if it's an egg or sperm issue, it's awful they are making you wait until Monday x

@camelinastorm - embryologist gave the rubbish news. Said admin will call me Monday. Couldn’t give any other information so in limbo just waiting!

@Harshtruth1111 I'm sorry it's been delayed. I can imagine how gutted you are. As you say you understand. It's really best that your body is in the right place for transfer, so it's good they're making sure you're set up for success and keeping you healthy. Great position to have 4 frozen. Did you PGTA? This is my first transfer with PGTA tested embryo and I'm asking lots of people to help me understand.

@ivfjourneyandme I'm so sorry. Do you mind me asking what your AmH is and what does of stims you were on? I've had three rounds of EC now and they've changed my meds each time and it's had different effects. We also used AOH and Zymot with ICSI on our last round and we had much higher realisation rate. We also red its tarts with the raw and I was taking lots of supplements, husband was on proceive. it had a huge difference for us. We had 12 eggs (I wa son max dose and switched form meriofert to gonal F and meriofert mix. I was told meriofert is synthetics but Gonal F natural and can result in better quality eggs. 11 fertilised and 7 made it to blast. We got 3 come back normal.

@charja100AMH is 1.9 so I wasn’t expecting lots of eggs but really didn’t even consider the possibility of none fertilising. I was on 300Iu ovaleap for first 5 days and then increased to 450IU

@ivfjourneyandme at least you have a package and they can look into what can be changed to increase success

@ive just had my enox injection I forgot how much that stings , literally burns and stings all at the same time anyone got any tips to stop this

@ivfjourneyandme really sorry to hear that, very sad news. We go through so much and all we want is positive news. You have more rounds, I believe your clinic will review your response etc and adjust the treatment accordingly to make it successful next time! Sending you lots of hugs and love.

@Harshtruth1111 good number of embryos and of what your body needs is a later transfer, that's what needs to happen, it's only for the best that transfer will be delayed!

My worry is that they won’t be able to improve anything. Clinic have said unlikely we’ll become parents but waiting for consultant appointment which most likely will be in Jan

@ivfjourneyandme I know it's really hard to see right now but there's definitely improvements that can be made. This was your first cycle as often they look at us as a trial run. It's awful to say and I was so angry when i heard that. Firstly then can change the stimulation drug itself and they can look at increasing to 450 from day 1 (which I did on my last cycle)

You can take time to prep your body. Coq10 is brilliant. I was taking 600mg a day and my egg quality increased massively. You can also take melatonin which can help with egg development and follicle stimulation.

You can also explore if they would recommend add in calcium ionophore and and / or Zymot. These practices help with fertilisation. There's likely to be other recommendations by the drs too. Please try not to write anything off until you have your conversation.

@ivfjourneyandme i am so sorry to see this news 😔 it looks like people have given some really good advice on here. It’s really good that you have a 4 cycle package. You can take some time to recoup (mentally and physically) and try again when you are ready. I would definitely push to speak to someone before January,you are literally paying for their time and deserve some reassurance. Take care of yourself this weekend ❤️

@Harshtruth1111 i was in exactly your situation a few weeks ago,I was disappointed but actually didn’t realise how much I needed a break!

@camelinastorm congrats on being PUPO. I was in the same boat last Christmas too. Positive from 5dp5dt and strong positives on HPT but bloods showed around 14dp5dt that HCG just stopped doubling. Eventually started bleeding.

Praying it's our time and we get Christmas miracles ! 🎄💫💛

Thank you @LimeBird ! Hmm I'm not sure... What are your circumstances? I'm 31 and off the top of my head I can't remember my AMH but it was reasonably high - I was at slightly increased risk of OHSS but fortunately had no issues in this regard. Remind me where you're at in the process now?

@ivfjourneyandme I am so so sorry to see your news. It's just so unfair. I agree with the others, push for a review appt before Christmas, even if it's just a phonecall...you deserve to have some peace.

@Harshtruth1111 that's really disappointing but your body might be grateful for a bit of time to recover. Hopefully it works in your favour.

Thank you all for your kind words. It’s hard grieving something that never existed but that’s where we are. I have emailed clinic to request an urgent appointment and asked for a different consultant as the current one has no empathy or personal skills. He didn’t even acknowledge me as he walked into theatre prior to EC yesterday!

We went to three different clinics and they all had such differing opinions on the course of action.

I was shocked how different the advice was for each one.

If private, then I find those that treat NHS patients tend to much better.

The second clinic was absolutely awful in terms of people skills!!

Hope it all works out for you. Like the previous poster mentioned, treat yourself.

It's a hard process when you are trying and then have to start IVF process. The journey we have all been on has been a few years and it takes a huge emotional toll on us. Please look after yourself ❤️
