That last thread filled up quickly without us noticing. So here is a new one for Scotland.

I always thought I’d want a surprise but turns out I have no willpower haha. We found out last time too

scan went well today and we’re having a girl. That will be one of each. I was so sure it was another boy I’m shocked but we’re so excited.

Nosejug · 27/10/2025 06:22

Oh congratulations! So nice to hear how excited you both are :) must feel amazing!

2mumlife · 05/11/2025 10:02

@Nosejug How are you getting on? Hoping everything has continued to go smoothly for you!

@LT103 Congratulations on the sex-scan! We never found out either time but I was super tempted the second time around 😂

Nosejug · 05/11/2025 10:06

Thanks @2mumlife . I had a scary sudden small gush yesterday, not a lot, but am walking on egg shells today (not that I’d believe that could change the inevitable but) hoping it was just a mechanical bleed. Not a peep since, no pain or cramps, and fairly consistent symptoms. I have a scan anyway tomorrow to determine viability so I don’t have long to wait in fear, thankfully!

2mumlife · 05/11/2025 10:26

@Nosejug I had a subchorionic hematoma with my daughter and had a MASSIVE gush of blood (right in the middle of a work meeting, it was horrific) and everything was ok. Scary as hell though. Keeping everything crossed for you for viability scan tomorrow 💛

KayEmmSquared · 18/01/2026 16:56

How is everyone getting on?

Nosejug · 19/01/2026 09:12

Hey @KayEmmSquared you must be getting along quite a bit now!! Are you all prepared? It must be so exciting :)

I’ve had a rough week, first of cervical scans at 16+2 showed it’s between 11-14mm (previous severe lletz). They tried an emergency cerclage the next day but didn’t manage as cervix is all internal. No current funneling. I’ve reached out to experts in London to see if anything can be done. Back on progesterone (only 200mg) and second scan tomorrow. Living in fear, but just hoping to first reach viability (24 weeks). 17+2 today.

KayEmmSquared · 19/01/2026 14:12

Aw @Nosejug i was really hoping you were progressing nicely! Sounds like you are out through the wringer a little! That’s crap a cerclage didn’t work, but is the internal opening and no funnelling a good sign? I’ll keep everything crossed you make it to 24weeks! This is your time, you totally deserve this! Keep me posted on how you’re doing.

I'm doing good, 32weeks now. Had a few low/no movement days which were scary but all good in the end. My PGP is next level, having to walk up/down stairs sideways and can only walk for about 10mins before I am in agony and need to sit for half an hour for the pain to pass, but I’ll happily suffer this pain if it all ends well 🤞🏻 xx

Nosejug · 25/01/2026 12:04

Oooft 32 weeks and going strong! Wonderful :) Sorry to hear about the pgp, have you found any help on here? I’ve seen people mention supportive clothes and the like but I imagine you’ve explored that already. Not long now :) x

2mumlife · 28/01/2026 15:07

@Nosejug WOW! Not long to go!! :D How you feeling?

Nosejug · 28/01/2026 15:21

Ohh heh @2mumlife im only 18+4! It’s @KayEmmSquared at 32/33 now!

2mumlife · 28/01/2026 15:24

P.S. out of interest - GCRM's website says a FET is now £5,060. We paid £2090 in November 2023. How on earth can they more than double the price in 2 years? 😦 I'm just wondering if anyone has done a FET recently and thats really the price?

TrulyMadlyDeeply123 · 02/02/2026 23:08

Hi everyone, so nice to hear of some positive progress! @nosejug fingers crossed for 24 weeks!
We have had another failed cycle and only the one embryo again so need some time to process and await review to see if they have any advice on changing anything. Second time hits much harder than the first thats for sure.
@2mumlife a FET at GRI last year was around the 2300 mark.

2mumlife · 03/02/2026 21:05

@TrulyMadlyDeeply123 I’ll ask them about pricing on Monday as I’m there for an ultrasound to check everything out again, as I feel the £5k is surely wrong and I must be missing something

KayEmmSquared2 · 04/02/2026 19:32

Hi ladies, just adding a post to keep up to date on the chat, for some reason my last account/username has stopped working.

@2mumlife i hasn’t had a fet at GCRM but I’m on a Facebook group for the clinic and there’s quite a few posts about how much a fet has gone up in price recently

21RsMama · 04/02/2026 19:50

Hey, I just had an FET 4 days ago at gcrm and it was £2760 (ish) plus meds which wasn't to much (I bought my cyclogest from the local pharmacy and saved £140!!! Crazzzzyyy)

21RsMama · 04/02/2026 19:51

Meant to add that was a natural cycle one so I imagine a medicated cycle would be a bit more

2mumlife · 04/02/2026 20:51

@KayEmmSquared @21RsMama ah thanks both! And good luck with your transfer! Yeah the meds are ridiculous but then they charge stupid amount for a private prescription to source them elsewhere!

Nosejug · 06/02/2026 08:04

@2mumlife man what a bad taste that would leave in my mouth, that’s in no way justifiable to force charges for prescriptions or massive markups. I wish there was some kind of regulation on just how greedy they could be. But glad to hear the 5k ish price seems in error!

2mumlife · 11/02/2026 17:17

@Nosejug Yeah its definitely a buisness! But in the end its whats grown our family so.....

Ellenn · 12/02/2026 18:52

Hey everyone! Hope you don’t mind me joining back in the conversation as we are hoping for a sibling for our son who was born in October 2024!!

looks like some nice news for a few names I recognise, I hope it’s all going well and those who are still waiting your turn are sticking in there 💪

2mumlife · 19/02/2026 23:25

@Ellenn There is a sibling thread I’ve started up if you want to come join that :)

FYI got the GCRM confirmed £2760 for FET for us too @21RsMama so not as bad as the website made me think thank goodness!!

KayEmmSquared2 · 17/03/2026 16:08
