That should be I can definitely feel something not can't 🤦🏻‍♀️ lol

HopefulllHolly · 04/08/2024 19:20

@DippyDuck19 I thought you had an anterior and then I was like maybe I got it wrong because you’re feeling movements! The only thing I’ve been feeling is stabbing pains and my own heart racing but that’s it. I really want to feel something - I often lie still on our bed just trying to feel something but nothing yet! Sounds like we’re the same with aching - it’s making me so worried as not even half way and already feel like an old lady. Been on a dog walk today and I now can’t move, totally frozen up! God help us both! 🤣🤣 Hopefully our classes act like WD40 and we’re both super limber after!

@HopefulllHolly I'm getting a lot of stretchy type pains. Apparently they have a growth spurt between 16-19 weeks so tiredness might return too! I feel like an old lady too!!! Doesn't bode well for third trimester!!!!

AnnieStar12 · 04/08/2024 20:27

@jas1996 the negative blood is nothing to worry about. I also have negative blood type and this is now my 4th (successful) pregnancy. In my first two there wasn’t the technology to test for baby’s blood type so I just had the anti-d injections as standard. But by time I had my third in 2021 they could test babies blood and luckily she was also negative so they didn’t need to give me the injections during pregnancy, but they did after the birth. In this pregnancy they’ll check baby’s blood group at 16 week appointment and if it’s positive I’ll need the injections. But it’s only an issue for future pregnancies, as if you don’t get the injections your body could create antibodies which means it could reject a future pregnancy. (This is defo my last baby tho!)

But they’re pretty good at managing it, there’ll be a big note in your pregnancy file so whichever staff look after you know your blood type.

ThePeachGoose · 04/08/2024 23:18

@jas1996 ah good that you found someone in the group someone with the same factor in @AnnieStar12

I did take some photos for you from my pregnancy book if interested to read more, but I imagine you would have read all of the internet by now 😆

@Fluffyted yeah, i was really surprised myself when I got all my energy back the week before the event, as it sure helped with the event itself! The week after I was pretty tired though and / or mellowed out by the heat, who knows. Both my husband and I avoided getting covid and we’re super pleased with that 😁

Aaaah sorry to hear you had such a disappointing 16 week appointment. We sit around waiting for every next appointment that it’s a bit of a letdown when absolutely nothing happens.

Enjoy Cornwall @DippyDuck19

My update is that I had my booking appointment today and it was all good, mainly felt like they were trying to get everything recorded into their system, they took their blood tests and I was booked in for the next 3 appointments. I was told I’ll be offered two extra obstetrician appointments due to having an IVF pregnancy, which I’m pleased about. I did get to ask my questions too. I was told I can get my Covid vaccine done from the second trimester onwards and I was told I can’t fly with a haematoma, so might end up cancelling my work trip in Sept but I’ll book some interim scans to see how it’s progressing. My biggest regret is that they ran out of the pregnancy booklets and all they gave me was a photocopied sheet with their details lol

My next milestone is the private NIPT with a scan and gender on the 15th.

HopefulllHolly · 05/08/2024 13:05

@ThePeachGoose Glad your booking appointment went ok! I got my purple folder thing from the community midwife rather than at the hospital appointment. Haven’t actually read it yet 🤣🤣 not long until your next scan and NIPT! So exciting you’ll find out what it is, definitely makes it feel very real then!

@AnnieStar12 How are you doing stranger? When are you getting your next scan?

@oliviagrace2307 I think you had a scan
today? Hope it was ok!

AnnieStar12 · 05/08/2024 16:17

@HopefulllHolly I’m going for a scan today!! Am doing it at window to the womb and they only had evening slots. I’m going on holiday later this week and wanted one before going away. Can’t believe I’m almost out of 1st trimester! How are you doing? Hopefully not too sick. Luckily for me, my sickness has totally gone now. And I’m almost done with progesterone - am just doing one every other day for rest of this week.

@ThePeachGoose glad your appointment went okay. My hospital also just gave me a bunch of photocopied sheets, tbh it’s all on their website anyway! And all the notes are electronic via an app where I’m at so we don’t have any folder to carry round.

LouP87 · 05/08/2024 17:01

Had a bit of a scare this morning with some light bleeding, so been a bit of a day up at the hospital and then over for a scan at window to the womb this afternoon.

midwives were lovely, checked me over so quickly and listened to baby’s heartbeat for the first time. Because nothing obvious was wrong and I had no pain they wouldn’t do a scan, so we booked one for this afternoon. Everything looks great and we found out it’s a boy! 💙

HopefulllHolly · 05/08/2024 17:06

@LouP87 Awwwww a little boy! Congratulations! 💙 He’s going to be so loved! Sorry to hear about the bleeding but sounds like he’s totally fine, and lovely you heard the heartbeat too! Glad you’re ok!

@AnnieStar12 Enjoy your scan this evening! Glad you’re scanning as much as me ☺️ You’ve been quiet on here! I suppose we’re nearly all in long waits for 20 weeks now! 🤣

DippyDuck19 · 05/08/2024 17:13

@AnnieStar12 good luck for your scan today.

@LouP87 sorry you've had some bleeding but glad everything is looking ok and you found out you're having a boy!!! 🩵🩵🩵

Fluffyted · 05/08/2024 17:28

@DippyDuck19 yeah I totally get that. I'm also scared of the whole giving birth part 🙈
I hope you're enjoying your time away in Cornwall!

@ThePeachGoose ohhhh I'm so glad that you & your husband didn't catch Covid!! What a relief.

I know, it really is. Though I think I was just expecting far too much to be honest.
Oh wow! It sounds like your booking appointment went really well & was very informative. Glad you've got extra appointments too - that will be so helpful. Ohhh no! I hope your haematoma carries on shrinking for you so you can actually fly 🤞🏼 I had no idea about that.
Awww that's so annoying!!! The trust I'm under don't do booklets, all the info is on an app. I'm sure you'll get your booklet at your next midwife appointment.
Ahhh that's so exciting!! And only a week away - good luck with your NIPT, scan & gender reveal!!

@AnnieStar12 good luck with your scan!!! So exciting.

@LouP87 awwww no way!! That must have been so scary. I hope you're ok now you know everything is ok & nothing to worry about. Did they say why you were bleeding?
Awww a little baby boy 🩵🩵🩵 how cute!!
What a lovely way to end your very dramatic day!

LouP87 · 05/08/2024 17:35

Thanks guys ☺️ no explanation for the bleeding, it was very light but I haven’t had any at all since around 11 weeks so it did send me into a bit of panic. The midwives did a speculum test and could see a small amount of blood but my cervix was fine and there was no obvious reason there. The doctor I saw said sometimes it happens, it’s scary but it’s ok.

also found out I have an anterior placenta too @HopefulllHolly ! A bit gutted that it will a while longer til I can feel movement, but at least I know now I guess.

HopefulllHolly · 05/08/2024 18:12

@LouP87 Ah boo for an anterior - though at least we can manage expectations and as long as it’s working ok than that’s all that matters. Mind you @DippyDuck19 can feel movement and hers is anterior too! So you never know. I don’t feel anything currently. I don’t feel sick anymore thankfully but do get very nauseous when I haven’t had breakfast. But I actually just don’t feel pregnant anymore! Just quite normal. 😊 Won’t complain because the sickness was awful.

Hello ladies!

How are you all? Thank you for your message @HopefulllHolly Firstly I'm so sorry for being dreadful and quiet, the past few weeks have been super humbling in that my sickness has been awful, haven't been able to do much, I've tried medication which has helped somewhat but yeah trying to manage work and my toddler has been a challenge! I wouldn't swap this for the world as I've been praying for to complete my family but I didn't anticipate it being this tough!

I'm pleased to say though we had our 12 week scan today and baby was super active, had a good heartbeat and was just so reassuring to see. Sorry I hope you don't mind me sharing my picture today! So now waiting for our next private scan on 7 September to find out the gender! They couldn't really show me where the placenta was in my scan today, it took a bit of time as first my bladder was too full, then baby wriggled round so much to do the NT measurement and I also have a retroverted uterus which is always fun on scans lol!

Hope your scan went well @AnnieStar12

@ThePeachGoose how are you? Glad to see your booking appt went well!

@LouP87 so sorry that you had bleeding what a nightmare but I'm glad you are ok and got checked out properly.

Sorry if I missed lots of messages I do need to try and catch up but really hope everyone is doing well and the bubbas are good! Xxxx

Catching up on here, been a busy few days and the nausea and headaches seem to have come back with vengeance!

@oliviagrace2307 lovely scan photo! Pleased to hear your 12 week scan went well. I have mine on Wednesday 🤞

@LouP87 lovely news on your baby boy! 🩵 sorry to hear you've had bleeding but glad all is ok. Seems like anterior placentas are really common!

@AnnieStar12 good luck with this evenings scan!

@jas1996 im sorry to hear about the second twin but pleased to hear your little bean is fighting on!

Sorry if I've missed other updates! Hope everyone else is doing well 🧡

DippyDuck19 · 05/08/2024 19:51

@oliviagrace2307 sorry you've been feeling soo unwell but it's a good sign that hormones are high. Pleased your 12 week scan went well and has a good strong heartbeat. Hopefully the next few weeks fly by for your gender scan.

@LouP87 I have an anterior placenta and definitely been feeling flutters. I have days where I feel loads and then days where I feel nothing. Hopefully you'll feel something soon.

oliviagrace2307 · 05/08/2024 20:13

Thank you @Natty2 I'm so sorry you've been having a rough time with nausea and headaches... its awful when it feels like it just takes over as well! Good luck for Wednesday!! Im keeping everything crossed for you, it will be so lovely for you to see your baby and how much they have grown. I hadn't seen mine since our scan at 8 weeks and I was like woah baby has grown do much!

Thank you @DippyDuck19 😊 I hope it means everything is going in the right direction. I also had my blood tests done for the different trisomy tests so hoping all will be fine. How many weeks are you now? Must be so lovely to feel flutters!

DippyDuck19 · 05/08/2024 20:15

@oliviagrace2307 fingers crossed your trisomy bloods will come back ok.

I am 17 weeks tomorrow.

oliviagrace2307 · 05/08/2024 20:23

Oh wow 17 weeks @DippyDuck19 not long now till halfway through! How are you feeling generallly? Hope you are enjoying your holiday 😊 Cornwall is beautiful I used to go there a lot when I was little I do miss it x

DippyDuck19 · 05/08/2024 20:36

@oliviagrace2307 I feel like the last few weeks since my 12 week scan have flown by! I'm generally feeling ok. Get tired if I do too much and am aching from trying to sleep on my side. But there are days when I don't feel pregnant (besides the obvious bump).

I love Cornwall. If it was just me and DP we'd be having a lovely time. My parents have come with us and they are driving us mad! lol it's going to be a long week!!!

oliviagrace2307 · 05/08/2024 21:10

I'm really hoping it will fly by for me now 🙏 That's good that you have days where the symptoms are hardly there!

Haha aww bless you parents can be a nightmare sometimes 😅 hopefully you'll manage to steal some quiet moments with just you and DH! We used to go away with my in laws and my god it was more like an army boot camp than holiday with my FIL's love of timings and regiment!

AnnieStar12 · 05/08/2024 21:49

@HopefulllHolly haha! I’m defo keen on reassurance scans - just feels like the best way to look after my emotional/mental well-being in these early months. Today’s scan went well, baby measuring 3 days ahead now! Seems to be an extra day at each scan, so hopefully that means a big healthy baby :) We didn’t get a good view, mostly just the back of the head but I don’t mind really as I just wanted to see a heartbeat and make sure she’s measuring okay. I have another private one booked for 22nd Aug and then my NHS 20 week on 20th Sep. When’s your next scan?

@oliviagrace2307 congrats on a healthy 12 week scan, hope you start to feel better soon, and like you say it’ll be worth it when you have your baby in your arms in 6 months time!

@LouP87 Oh dear, sorry about the bleed but glad it’s all okay and exciting to find out the gender!

@DippyDuck19 enjoy Cornwall! Hope your parents don’t drive you too mad!

summerchild92 · 06/08/2024 05:19

I had my scan yesterday and everything looked perfectly fine. There was a heartbeat and the baby is of a good size for 9 weeks. 🫣My next scan is at 12/13 weeks! 🥹🥰
