Clomid private prescription

Before I conceived my daughter, we were referred through our GP to our local NHS fertility clinic. They then told us that they wouldn’t treat us until I lost weight. I went away, got my BMI down to what they wanted, only to be told by the doctor when we went back (a different one to the one we’d seen the first time) that my BMI was still too high. After a bit of a battle she agreed we could try clomid and I was lucky enough to get pregnant.

I would really like to try and have another baby (age not on my side) but am very wary of going through the same thing again. I’d like to try clomid again if I can. Can you get that through a private prescription?

@Sunshine1621 i know right! I’ve just read it back myself!
so I started the soy isoflavanes and took them for 3 months.
it was the month I took a break off I conceived
that month I took nothing at all HOWEVER at the beginning of the month I called my GP to get the day 3/21 hormone tests via the GP, it was the day before the day 21 test that I did a pg test and it was positive. The only thing I did differently was relax the month we conceived. My ultimate goal would have been to get a GP or a private clinic to do a dye test through the falopian tubes (I believe it’s called a HSG)
I have read and done research on the dye test and people conceive within 12 weeks as it completely clears the tubes. I would have pushed for that, after I found out that test existed I relaxed. Then the clomid would have been next resort.
leading up to the positive we DTD on days 4,8,10, 13, 14 & 18 which is probably a little more than average
Hope this helps x

I have read this thread back again today baby now 6 months old and I’ll NEVER forget how much I wanted this so badly!!
I wanted to add to the thread incase I missed it. I did get the headache the month I concieved my baby as I wrote it on my app. The day before my positive test, so again that month I thought I was ‘out’. So @Clomid1 was correct headache has/had no relevance. Good luck to anyone reading this x

@gtx1797h awww congratulations!

I am so happy for you 🥹 it all worked out in the end 😁.

And now you’re out of the trenches of new born as well. The second 6 months of mat leave was the most enjoyable. 😁

I have to ask, are you thinking of baby number 2. If so, my two have a 20 month age gap and even-though I struggled at first, it’s been beautiful watching them grow together. Highly recommend a small age gap 😁
