Thanks for adding me @Gardenlady543 how are you doing? I was on 25mg lubion and 400mg Cyclogest in my natural FET. Again they said no true need as have a corpus luteum. I just did lubion AM and Cyclogest PM. Hope all going okay for you.

@thislittlebird I am so sorry. Glad to hear you have one euploid. That must be some small relief. But give yourself time to process it all and good luck with the weight loss.

@clhiu the 2WW is such a mindf!!! I hope you are finding some way to keep sane.

I haven’t had a migraine in 48h so am hoping the DHEA has finally settled in and hope they don’t rear ugly head again. I’ve written to my clinic an assertive but calm email about having a baseline scan at start of stims. Hopefully they respond positively. No karyotype results yet, just over 4 weeks now. My acupuncture lady has started doing mindfulness with me, hope it helps for next 2WW!

Has anyone here used The Fertility Medication Centre? They’ve given me a very competitive quote but not sure if trust it.

Hope everyone else doing okay x

thislittlebird · 28/04/2023 17:44

@IVF22 yeah that’s the one, CV. This was a couple of years before I started IVF. I never actually got a diagnosis but I had the symptoms of it come on after buying some oral probiotics on Amazon that were really high dose and I didn’t know better. So I stopped them and it went away. Never happened with the lower dose and more targeted ones I’ve used.

2021ivfagain · 28/04/2023 18:20

@thislittlebird and @IVF22 It’s strange. I’ve never had that issue but I am constantly on norethisterone each week so it’s always a fight to keep ph lower, which my clinic never worry about!

I think if you have good amh and fsh levels, lactic acid will already be good. So naturally your ph will be lower.

Loz2467 · 28/04/2023 22:00

@Enfys23 I’m glad your migraines have settled. I used the fertility medication Centre and they were amazing and got delivered by Stork so basically around 35/40% of the cost my clinic were trying to charge me and delivered by the same company! X

Enfys23 · 28/04/2023 22:03

Oh wow thanks so much @Loz2467 I could see they said they use stork too. So great to know someone here has used them and they’re trustworthy! xx

Gardenlady543 · 29/04/2023 08:20

@2021ivfagain I don't know if it has acid in it.

Loz2467 · 29/04/2023 11:27

@Enfys23 yeah definitely and saved me a lot too! Thinking of you for your next transfer and crossing everything. Same for you @Gardenlady543 as I know yours is close too!

2021ivfagain · 29/04/2023 13:33

@Gardenlady543 Thanks. I know gynolact has 3 strains and it was recommended on the list from the biopsy. Will you just be using Flora Femme or canesflor after transfer?

You have done so well. Good luck for Monday.

@Enfys23 I had migraines when I took dhea. Could I just ask are you doing a fresh transfer? I’m struggling to keep up with all the updates!

Enfys23 · 29/04/2023 14:19

@2021ivfagain yes hopefully will have a fresh transfer. They want me to do roughly 8 weeks dhea before stims so will be end of June for procedures.
How are you getting on? Are you doing a medicated FET?

2021ivfagain · 29/04/2023 16:10

@Enfys23 No. I’m doing a stimulated FET cycle transfer. Same as @Gardenlady543. I will be on 300iu meriofert every other day instead of 225iu. Then when one follicle is over 18mm, I will be triggered. Then on 5th day of progesterone and inhixa I will have a transfer. I do not want medicated as in 2019 I did not respond well to it and I was in my 30s then with very good amh and fsh.

2021ivfagain · 29/04/2023 16:11

@Enfys23 It’s natural modified frozen transfer with stims. I will be doing oestrogen priming beforehand due to high fsh.

Enfys23 · 29/04/2023 16:36

Natural modified sounds like a good plan @2021ivfagain do you know when you’re starting the medication?

AM08 · 29/04/2023 17:21

Hi everyone, hope your having nice weekends, so I broke and tested yesterday and today with clear blue early detection tests and got a really clear BFP yesterday and today 10dp5dt, but I’m just worried that I’d rather do a First Response test to see what HCG levels are like as I’m really worried about another chemical after last time - my partner has been to like 10 pharmacies and no luck - are there any other brands of pink die tests people trust? OTD is Monday and we’re both just v worried after last time

2021ivfagain · 29/04/2023 19:28

@Enfys23 Well I’m doing norethisterone at present as I was hoping to do a transfer next month (May), but as you know I have to do a swab next week which I feel is pointless as I know I still have atopobium vaginae. Problem is it takes 3 weeks for Invivo result to come back. If my clinic had accepted my swab result from March, I would not be in limbo. The earliest I can do my transfer is June. Yes it’s a good plan but I have had to fight for every but of it to be modified with someone with high fsh. Also, I just had an email saying it’s good someone is taking you seriously now and we will wait for your infection to be diagnosed! They also said we have people you can talk to if feeling a bit low. I feel like saying just stop wasting my precious time and money and trust my results from Invivo.

Enfys23 · 30/04/2023 07:05

@AM08 whispered congrats but I’m sorry it comes with stress because of previous losses. Have you tried Amazon prime? Sorry I don’t know of other good brands.

@2021ivfagain it is very frustrating having to fight every bit of the way. I feel I wouldn’t be half as stressed if it wasn’t for the clinic. I don’t understand why a swab next month is different to the swab you did before? Are they going to trust invivo result this time round? Or is it because you’re now seeing the other gynae?

I do feel my body is acting more like someone pre menopausal despite my age. My low reserve and poor response to stims obvs main thing but the worsening PMS and night sweats around luteal phase, and I continued to track things this month as we’d like to continue to ttc naturally when we can, and it helps to know when period will rock up. but I’ve already surged on day 9. It has crept earlier and earlier but this month is earliest still. I do get EWCM though, but it started as my period finished. I’m not sure how DHEA might change things but I wonder if I did my FSH in a few cycles it might be fluctuating to high at some points. I doubt I’ve developed any lining in that short space of time to make natural conception possible. If we ever get to FET again I think we’d need to look at natural modified if my follicular phase is becoming so short, though my lining has so far never been good in fresh cycles either. It makes me feel time is quickly running out and I wish I could batch but I can’t on the funding package. I guess if stim 3 in June is no good then we’ll be out of package and can look at batching if there’s still some hope. I got quite despondent hearing a story of someone like me with lining issues who had to use a surrogate in the end. I guess I need to try and keep hope the DHEA might help my next response to stims and maybe the combination of fresh cycle and viagra will be better for lining.

clhiu · 30/04/2023 07:47

@AM08 it sounds promising, but totally get the worry and anxiety after a chemical, I hope your lines get darker and you have success this time. Sorry I’m absolutely no expert at pregnancy tests brands. I’m intrigued by this conversation about the FRER or tests with red instead of blue dye, is red dye supposed to be more accurate or more sensitive or is it more of a psychological thing that seeing red instead of blue lines feels more real? Literally no idea.

@Enfys23 sorry about the frustrations with your lining and concerns about your cycle. May be a really minor thing and you might already have this in your regimen, but my consultant advised I started taking 300g vitamin E daily to help with lining thickness. I hope your latest cocktail of DHEA and viagra does the trick.

@2021ivfagain I feel the anger and financial concerns, especially since we are with the same clinic and I know how well we pay them, they really should have listened the first time around. When it’s allover and you have your baby, could you potentially make an official complaint for the extra financial costs incurred and avoidable stress?

@Gardenlady543 is your transfer fully confirmed for tomorrow? Good luck, I’ll be thinking of you x

Enfys23 · 30/04/2023 07:56

Thanks @clhiu how are you doing?

clhiu · 30/04/2023 08:43

I’m ok, thanks for asking @Enfys23 just hanging in there waiting for my OTD. Been having some really positive symptoms, except nausea, I had a lot of it on days 3-6 dpt, but then disappeared so put it down to the HGC infusion I had on transfer day.

Anybody ever developed an itchy rash around the Lubion injection site? I can see in the leaflet that’s very common although last night I made the mistake of Googling it and saw it could be excess progesterone or an auto-immune reaction to it, neither things boding well for successful implantation. I messaged my clinic last night and they asked to send images which I just did, but also if I wouldn’t mind attending the clinic. I was hoping they’d just tell me it’s a minor side effect, but they’re now having me worried, also there’s no way I’m making the 3.5 hours round trip to go to the clinic today or tomorrow, it’ll have to wait till Tuesday. Everything a source of stress so fed up 😩

AM08 · 30/04/2023 08:46

@Enfys23 thank you, it is hard when hopes are raised and then dashed, we just bought some boots ones in the end and yesterday night was an extremely strong and clear line and this mornings was a bit lighter (I didn’t collect much pee at all as I’d been in the night so hoping that’s the reason) let’s see, blood test tomorrow and I’m going to push CRGH to turn my results around quickly due to what happened last time. I hope you get there with your lining - it sounds like you’ve got a plan and thought about some potential scenarios so you will get there.

@2021ivfagain to echo @clhiu have you thought about putting in a complaint? We did with CRGH, we couldn’t reach our consultant ever and she always gave a 10 day window before she would speak to us which resulted in us missing a few cycles (turns out she was setting up there new clinic) and we have found after the complaint the service has been much better

@clhiu ah I hope it’s a good blood test tomorrow but let’s see. I’m not really sure where the thinking comes from about the test colours, I think I’d just heard the red dye ones were more accurate but it might be an old wives tale.

Gardenlady543 · 30/04/2023 08:48

@clhiu as far as I'm aware Progesteone hypersensitivity/Progesteone dermatitis is a skin reaction at a site away from the injection site. I got it symmetrically on both sides of my arms and legs.

Yep transfer is tomorrow I have Progesteone blood test, acupuncture, transfer, more acupuncture, so it will be a busy day.

This sounds good @AM08 did you test again today?

OP posts:
Enfys23 · 30/04/2023 08:50

@clhiu is it around all the injection sites? How long is it lasting? I was getting sore but itchy hive like welts come up with each one but seemed to not be unusual. They would go down after a few days. But between them and the clexane bruising would be quite the pattern! I hope it settles for you. I think reactions are really common. Try to remember symptoms don’t really mean anything at this stage. One day at a time ❤️

clhiu · 30/04/2023 08:58

Thank you so much @Gardenlady543 and @Enfys23, I really wasn’t that worried as it’s literally listed on the leaflet as one of the most common side effects and not one to be concerned about, it’s more the clinic having me worried asking me to go in, hopefully fine 😅

AM08 · 30/04/2023 09:55

@Gardenlady543 yes and it was a bit lighter, feeling very anxious -sorry the TMI but I did capture the pee and dip the test into it and there wasn’t as much pee as with my other tests so trying to think it’s that. Really want it to just be results time tomorrow with the clinic now.

Ah I hope your transfer goes well tomorrow, great to keep busy and then into the 2ww. Keep us posted on how you get on.

Gardenlady543 · 30/04/2023 10:03

@AM08 are you having a blood test tomorrow? That will be the best way to know what's going on.

@clhiu I hope it eases so you don't have to make the long journey.

Did anyone else try pre and post transfer acupuncture? I'm going to go there before the transfer and then right after. My acupuncturist is using a German protocol.

OP posts:
Enfys23 · 30/04/2023 21:37

Yes I’ve done pre and post @Gardenlady543 I’ve found the pre session particularly calming. Is that the Paulus protocol? I think there’s some studies showing efficacy. My acupuncture lady puts on a zika west meditation that is designed around the Paulus protocol points I think. It works really well for relaxation.

Thinking of you tomorrow @Gardenlady543 and really hope bloods are reassuring @AM08
