Hello, made a new thread for us Scots going through IVF, thread 5. Hoping this is the best thread yet for dreams coming true ❤️

@ivf24 awh that’s amazing news, congrats 🥰. Third time lucky 🥰. Did you try anything different this time during the tww?

🤞🏼 it stays this way. The line on the test this morning was very dark. Did a Clearblue when I got home and it said 2-3 weeks. Don’t really understand all the dates 🙈. Phoned the clinic and it looks like we’ll be able to have a scan at 7 weeks closer to home so we won’t have to travel all the way to Aberdeen for that. Just trying to get through to the hospital here to get a date. Trying to sort meds and prescriptions too! 🥰

Well I had McDonalds fries, made sure I kept my feet warm and have been off caffeine for a few months. I’ve also eaten pineapple most days. Had regular acupuncture too but had that the previous 2 rounds also.

@JulesIVF I’ve also not been at work as it’s been the school holidays so that’s been nice!

We've now been told today that there will be no info until end of April.

I'm honestly broken.

I feel so detached from our lovely little embryos because I don't know if they are OK and I'm so scared to think about them too much as I feel like we don't properly have them.

My clinic don’t offer Beta blood tests. Is this worth looking into or is it going to make me obsess more? I’m assuming it’s something that you can’t really do just once. 🙈

@ivf24 Normally at my clinic you do just have the 1 beta to confirm you’re pregnant. Only had repeats where there were concerns about levels. I wouldn’t bother to be honest if you’re getting 2-3 weeks on clear blue there is obviously lots of hcg in your system that far surpasses chemical pregnancy levels. Hope you get a date for scan soon - welcome to the next really long wait 😂

@IVFlife Is there anyone you can complain to, because you seem to keep getting told information is coming and then it doesn’t? It isn’t fair to keep moving the goal posts whilst you’re in this limbo. Can you get someone senior at the clinic to give you a definite time scale for some answers? I’m so sorry you’re in this situation 💐

Thanks for that advice @2mumlife , much appreciated. I got a date for the scan - 29th April. I’m back to work on Monday so hoping it passes quickly! 🙈🤞🏼

@ivf24 Not too long to go, but it will feel forever. Keeping everything crossed for you. Are you having any symptoms yet?

Thanks @2mumlife . So hard not knowing what’s going on in there 😂🙈. Feeling nauseous on and off, sore boobs and really tired today but hard to know what’s from all the hormone medication.

Sorry if this is tmi but I’ve been doing cyclogest pessaries since before transfer and I’ve never really had a problem inserting them but over the last few days, they have become quite difficult to insert. I don’t feel like I can get them as high up as before. Has anyone else experienced this?

We found out this week we reached the top of the donor list in another clinic whose list we are on. We aren't going to accept that donor obviously as we need to figure out what's happening with our current clinic and so someone else can have that donor.

I've really realised how much weight I've put on in the last month since I had to stop all ivf meds. I've just eaten so much crap. I really need to change that because I weighed myself this morning and realised that if by some miracle withe nhs donor list had space for us then we wouldn't currently be accepted. That's how much I've put on so fast!!!!

Hey everyone, I've been gone a while as have been waiting for my test of cure date to arrive so I can finally start booking (I mean, assuming I'm clear!). Weird getting back into this forum after spending time in the Jo's trust one. Travelling to London for it as it worked out cheaper than private in Scotland, and using nhs would mean further months delays (took about 3 months for results last time). @IVFlife I certainly understand the pain of unexpected delays but wow, being so close to your transfer. I'm so sorry you've been left on such a lurch. Glad to hear you've got some counselling.

I wonder, has anyone tried to book recently at grfc? I am wishing and hoping I'll get to go ahead and book after my next period starts, but I'm thinking I wont get booked the first time I try? Anyone have good news on that front?

So great to read up on all the successes! When I read "a boy" I was smiling away. The reality of that feels so very distant from this ambiguous waiting. Big congratulations :)

Hows everyone doing?

We have our 7 week scan on Monday and my stomach is in knots with nerves 😞. So worried.

nervous. I’m worried I don’t have ‘enough’ symptoms! Had a bit of brown discharge today which has worried me slightly.

@ivf24 i feel the same. Feel like my symptoms are disappearing 😞. My boobs aren’t as sore, I’m not as tired in the afternoon, barely feeling nauseous anymore. Just worries me because that happened the time we had a MMC.
Are you on progesterone pessaries? I’ve seen that can cause some blood from irritating your cervix.

Yeah I am on progesterone pessaries. The embryologist did say at our second transfer that there was some irritation on my cervix and I may have bleeding in early pregnancy. That one obvs wasn’t successful but maybe it is irritation this time. Everything I’ve read says it’s pretty common 🤷🏼‍♀️.
My boobs are still a bit sore and I’m tired (although first week of term at work so might be that). Lay on the couch this afternoon to watch some MAFS and fell asleep.
