Hello, made a new thread for us Scots going through IVF, thread 5. Hoping this is the best thread yet for dreams coming true ❤️

Hey just checking in. No news from clinic yet about our situation. Very anxious. Had hoped for info before Easter but now it could be any day or another 2 weeks. So hard.

@Sabrinafive I haven't heard of lining getting thinner. Did they say why that was happening? I thought it would only get thinner if bled? But I don't know much. Totally get hoe frustrating it is when plans change last min. So hard.

@ivf24 @JulesIVF is this gcrm that's going the videos/photos of embryos? Did you need to ask?

I 100% want pics of ours!

@2mumlife are you going to be consultant led? Us that for ivf related reasons or other? Hope it goes well.

@IVFlife yeah! They put the Timelapse video of them progressing in the machine during that 5 day wait after egg collection onto a pen drive for us 🥲.

@IVFlife when the embryologist comes into the room prior to transfer just let them know then and they will do it 😊

@IVFlife I’m sorry to hear you’re still waiting on news to make decisions. Must be so frustrating being in limbo. Can you call the clinic for an update on how long you should be expecting until you hear something?

Consultant led because of IVF. It seems to vary a bit between health board though. Also means I’ll have extra growth scans towards the end of pregnancy as well, again just because it’s IVF

Hey everyone! Got my NIPT results back yesterday and all low risk so that was a relief and we found out we are having a boy 🥰 feels a bit more real now, just waiting for my NHS scan next though!

Hi all… when Scotland can’t help you try a clinic in greece athens wich is out of this world when it comes to infertility!!! It helped me achieve my dream after numerous of failures in iceland . There is one woman there wich is a goddess of fertility and she have helped thousands named peny !

@IVFlife no it was Aberdeen for us. The embryologist phoned us the day before transfer to talk things through and they asked then if we would like a photo. It took a few days to come through. We also got a printed photo of the embryo inside after transfer.

hi everyone - had our egg collection this morning and got 11 eggs. Sadly my lining has thinned out even more down to 4mm so we’re having to do a frozen transfer. Did anyone have trouble booking in on their first month again or did you manage ok on your first month? I think the dr is going to speak to me tomorrow about my lining as feeling a little concerned about that

@IVFlife GCRM do a wee photo at the time of transfer - its just a little white blob in your uterus (actually what you're seeing if the fluid used to transfer the embryo, because the embryo is too small to see) 😂 but its nice to have.

@Ellenn Congrats :) Still on the fence here if we want to find out the sex (we didn't with DD). I was keen at first but actually moving more towards just waiting - DP is keen just to wait until the birth again.

@Sabrinafive 11 eggs is amazing! How are you feeling physically? Normally you need to have your withdrawal bleed from this cycle, then have at least 1 natural cycle before you can go again. I think often if you've had to do an unexpected freeze-all they will prioritise you for your FET. It may be for the FET they suggest a higher dose of estradiol to make sure you lining thickens up. Hope you get some clarity tomorrow

I am utterly fed up today. The goal posts appear to have changed with when we will get an update and that's incredibly hard.

I'm exhausted. Mentally worn out from this now.

@IVFlife I'm sorry to hear you've had bad news. Don't really know what to say other than we're all here hoping you get a positive outcome soon

@2mumlife do you know it actually wasn’t as bad as I was expecting - a little tender right now and weirdly quite breathless but I thought I’d be doubled over in pain! Hoping it’s not worse day after but I think I’ve got away with it! Thank you for the positivity - here’s hoping we have a good update tomorrow and on day 5 for freezing!

Sorry to read about your lining @Sabrinafive but what a great result with your egg collection. Hope you continue to get good news over the next few days.

@IVFlife hope you get some clarity soon, can’t imagine how difficult it is to wait for an update from your clinic.

We have our 7 week scan booked in for the 22nd. I’m so anxious and the days are going so slow. Our last 7 week scan there was no heartbeat and baby had stopped growing at 6+2 so I’m just expecting the worst 😩.

Thank you @JulesIVF - 6 eggs fertilised and they had to use ICSI due to low sperm mobility (another shock as all previous sperm tests were deemed totally normal) we’ll find out on Tuesday how many are able to be frozen. Praying for a really good number.

Probably not a lot I can say to ease your worries but just be kind to your mind and if you ever feel yourself moving into a (justified) negative mindset, try and redirect urself to thinking as though you’ve already been and had your good news and of all the exciting things you’re yet to experience. You’ve got this 🫶

@JulesIVF they’ll call today if there are any concerns (fingers crossed we don’t hear a thing) and then they’ll give us our day 5 update on how many can be frozen. Thank you both for the positivity I’ve really not known how to feel this week!!

How are we all this week?

7 more days should be the most we need to wait.

I'm wanting to eat more healthily this week. Have just been eating crap. Was away at a hotel this weekend for a family birthday which was a nice enforced break.

@IVFlife That's great to hear that you have a bit more certainly how much longer you will need to wait. Its good you were able to take a break and I hope the counselling session is useful

We are on our way home after a few days away with friends and family 🥰. Getting very nervous about OTD - don’t want to know 🙈

Happy Friday everyone! Today is my OTD. I gave up trying to get back to sleep at 5am and did the test. Was very surprised to see a BFP! Never got this far before so although it is still quite tentative, I feel happy all the same. Going to buy a Clearblue test and do that later just to be sure. 🥰

@ivf24 Congratulations!!! How exciting! Have you let your clinic know? Do you have a date for your viability scan? What a lovely start to your weekend 🥰

Thanks @2mumlife 🥰. Haven’t let the clinic know yet. We were away for the night last night. Nearly home now so will give them a call shortly. The worry never ends in this process does it!
