Hello, made a new thread for us Scots going through IVF, thread 5. Hoping this is the best thread yet for dreams coming true ❤️

Hey everyone, sorry been quiet just been catching up on things. Had my 16 week midwife appointment today and officially booked into the homebirth time rota. All my nausea etc has totally passed, so just enjoying things at the moment

@ivf24 Are you still having issues with the pessaries? Hope your scan today goes ok. Brown discharge is old blood and hopefully nothing to worry about. Bleeding is so common in early pregnancy, its not always a bad sign x Laying on the couch and falling asleep randomly sounds very early pregnancy to me :D

@IVFlife Obviously hoping things work at with your current donor, but its good to know you're at the top of another list if things don't work out with this donor. I think its really understandable given everything you've been through if you've put on some weight. The weight will go when you have less worry about your situation. Hope you get your results this week x

@Nosejug How are you getting on this trying to schedule your next cycle?

@JulesIVF Wishing you luck for your 7 week scan, hope everything goes ok today. Early pregnancy symptoms do fluctuate for some people, hopefully today can give you reassurance everything is ok.

Thank you! All went well, seen the heartbeat and measuring exactly 7w1d 🥹. Just one baba, so glad we transferred two embryos cause who knows if we would be here now if we didn’t. So relieved ❤️.

Lovely to hear from you @2mumlife. Glad you’re enjoying your pregnancy now. No the pessaries seem to be ok now. I’ve had no more bleeding either so 🤞🏼 that’s all ok. Thanks for asking. My scan is next Monday. Feeling very nervous about it. I don’t really feel pregnant which probably sounds a bit stupid. All the googling I am doing is not helping.

@ivf24 Sounds like everything is hopefully going ok. Everyone is different with pregnancy and you might be luck and just not get the nausea. Sorry I got the week wrong, good luck for next week

Don’t be sorry! So much going on! It’s so hard to know isn’t it. I do feel nauseous now and then but worry it’s in my head 🙈

@JulesIVF congrats on the scan news!!! Amazing 😍 it’s so nice to finally see the heartbeat isn’t it!!! You must be feeling relieved, do you think will just wait until your nhs scan now or get any more scans privately?

@2mumlife hey, how are you getting on? I was considering a home birth too. How did you decide? I’m not sure if they would necessarily let me since this would be my first though! Also would need to make sure my partner ok with it. I got taken off guard at last midwife appointment when they asked what my birth preferences were I was like emmm no clue I’m just taking a day at a time still 🙈 I’ve got my 16 wk midwife appt coming up too so wonder if they will bring it up or not 🤔

I caved and did a Medichecks HCG test. Got my results back today and it’s 8,395 which seems to be be in normal range for 6 weeks. Does this sound right to people and does it actually mean anything? Sorry I’m clueless 🙈

@ivf24 hcg varies loads between individuals so it’s most useful if 2 tests are done to show its rising. You can look at beta base to compare http://www.betabase.info/

ive only done hcg around the 14/15 dp5dt mark

We've been told the results are due tomo.

I feel like I'm almost expecting further delays to getting the results so I'm trying to protect myself but we've been told tomorrow.

@IVFlife oh that’s great news! Did they say when you could schedule FET in for?

We just need to phone. I've just started bleeding a few days ago so probably look at starting meds in just under a month

@2mumlife I don't think its really sunk in. I think I've been so prepared for a negative outcome I feel so surprised. I'm suddenly trying to be on a healthier plan now!

Scan went well this morning. Baby is measuring at 7+0 and I’m 7+2 so I’m happy with that. Saw a heartbeat too 🥰. There is a little bit of bleeding but it’s not a major concern as it’s not impacting on baby but they want me back in 2 weeks to check on it. Feeling relieved and glad in a way that there will be another scan before 12 weeks as that still feels a long way off.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

I’m just thickening my lining, shedding my lining, getting ready for a medicated FET. So hopefully I’ll have more news in the next few weeks. Good luck to everyone

@ivf24 congratulations! Is it a SCH you have? I had one with my daughter which resolved by 12 week scan x

I don’t know. They didn’t say as they can’t be sure what it is. The nurse said it might be implantation bleeding but can’t be sure. They will check in 2 weeks that it’s not any worse but they are hoping it will just resolve itself 🤞🏼
