Thanks all, but sadly it’s not good news. Baby is measuring a week behind and no heartbeat found. I should be 7 weeks 4 days and measuring 6 weeks 4 days. I have an appointment on Thursday with EPU for another scan and second opinion but they didn’t sound positive at all. Just feel numb, although I prepped myself for this it still kills!

It's good that you have got a follow up scan so soon, that will certainly help with the anxiety of it all.
Did they do bloods today?

@seekingbabyk @MinBins thanks, I think if there was a heartbeat I’d feel a little more optimistic.

@ralno2 no the clinic didn’t do bloods just referred me to EPU, so they might do them there on Thursday? I’m glad your scan has been brought forward as I can imagine the wait is awful!

@seekingbabyk that's what I mean.. my clinic calls this a short protocol! That's why I said I don't want to know what their long one looks like. so even on a short one they downreg you and it's like having a 35 day cycle before I can start on the stims. I wish i could also just start stims with my CD1 but hey ho. they must know what they're doing. And yeah I guess it's to have the ovaries nice and quiet like @1stcycle said. it's all super controlled then isn't it.

@1stcycle they did my bloods in the EPU so they will probably do yours on Thursday. Life is so cruel, I'm just about adjusting to my news. I know what the initial shock feels like just awful.

Rest up today and look after yourself. Thursday is only two days away, so you don't have to wait in limbo for too long which is good.

I've taken a few days off work, my manager was very understanding when I told her.

Has anyone every heard of DUTCH testing?

I've been reading a lot about I and they have a cycle mapping diagnostic test which helps give a better idea about miscarriages/ infertility issues.

Once my cycle returns I'm thinking I might do it.

Hi girls.

A bit of positive news for the day - we had our offer accepted on a house today 😁 so after 6 months living in a house my mum owns there is finally a plan to move forward! And a room perfect for a nursery! It needs a lot of work though so might be pushing our transfer back until the summer but at least this bit will be done.

Had my baseline today and stims start tomorrow as lining is still a little thick. They have upped my dose to 300 menopur this time. I am dreading it! They saw my face when they told me I think and said they can always reduce it if it's too much. 7 follicles each side and all around 6mm which they were happy with. Let's hope this is the last time we need to do this!

I’ve not heard of the DUTCH test. I don’t know much about this but it sounds like there are tests you can do on the tissue for any chromosomal issues, or preventative measures.

I really hope you’re both taking care of yourselves.

@seekingbabyk that’s great news on the house and the scan. It sounds like you’ll be starting stims soon. I hope the dosage works well for you!

@Spin101 I'm very well thank you. Looking forward to starting again soon, but also making the most of life in the meantime. taking my supplements every day. trying to eat well. I've started asana rebel and I'm quite enjoing it. I'm impressed how I'm gettign achy after just a 25min session lol. Slowly getting ready for our trip to Bali/Singapore which starts next Thursday. We're very excited. How're you doing? do you know yet what your next steps will be? have you had a consultation yet?

@Honeybunie stims start tonight. Absolutely dreading in tbh and had a little cry this morning but had to remind myself how many women would love to have the opportunity to do this right now and that in two weeks it'll all be over. They just like you to have bled a certain amount before starting stims so yesterday it was too thick so they're starting me today instead.

Your trip sounds amazing I'm very jealous!

Thank you @Imisscoffee2021 - I am really struggling to understand why the consultant has upped my dose. I had mild OHSS after the last round so it seems so odd to be giving me more meds. I know the side effects were worse last time too so I guess it's that I'm dreading even more.

I'm going to advocate for myself though and if I'm feeling really rough I'll be telling them I'm going back down to 225 instead. Definitely don't want to end up making myself sick after EC.

How are you feeling now? Are you in third trimester yet? How did your move go? Are you now in Scotland?x

@seekingbabyk aw bless you. It'll be over again before you know and hopefully you'll never have to go through it again. Ah I see about the lining. Makes sense :) Did they tell you the reason for upping your dose? I hope it won't cause even worse symptoms for you. And yes, if so, tell them. you know your own body.

@Honeybunie I think because I have a very high amh they expected a lot more blasts so they are trying to stimulate them as much as possible. Last round we had 10 mature eggs retrieved so maybe they are aiming for more? But I said to hubby this morning out of 10, 9 fertilised and we then ended up with 2 blasts. That makes me think the issue is more egg/sperm quality so sure it's more about diet, lifestyle, supplements m, etc than the stims part 🤷🏼‍♀️ My next scan is Monday so I'll give it until then but can remember not even being able to think properly last time lol!

@seekingbabyk definitely push back if you feel rough, did they not give a reason for upping your dose? Perhaps trying to stim more follicles but if you over etil you'll be uncomfortable like you said, hope this isn't the case and you have lots of lovely mature eggs in a few weeks! And no ohss!

I've moved to a friend's flat they had empty til September near my work with hubby, our landlord was selling ours and we got this one cheaper so can save more towards the maternity year, I get a great package at work but there's still three months unpaid we'd like to have a cushion for. So I'm still in London for now, will give birth at my hospital here and spend a few months with the baby here so he can meet his southern family before going to Scotland for those few years :) feeling good, just been to Berlin to see our nephew there and managed to run around and carry him about, I couldn't have done that in 1st trimester for sure. 24 weeks on sat and he's quite a big baby so far but dad's 6 foot 4 so expected it, I'm 5 foot 4 though 😖

Awww that's so lovely @Imisscoffee2021 and you have so much ex stuff going on! My hubby is 6'4 too and I'm 5'3 so also wonder who any potential babies will take after! I can't believe how quickly your pregnancy is going (for me anyway). Have you started baby shopping yet?

Yes I will definitely advocate for myself - if I've learnt anything from this forum it's that you have to push for what you want too. The nurse seemed to think he might be trying to get a quicker EC as my last one was 13 days after first jab so she thinks he might be trying to get me there sooner. We will just see how we get on x
