@KLM25 aww thanks yes I'll just get through it I'm sure as all of the other millions of women who have had a baby have done lol. I'm sorry you're still feeling sick and tired. You can't have much of that left now and you'll get the second trimester glow and energy 🥰

Keeping everything crossed they let you transfer in feb @Honeybunie after your meeting. Is there the option to go straight in for another round and keep the little guy frozen for now? Or are you not up for that? I'm kinda hoping we both get our transfers and they both work so we can all go through it together lol

No idea on where we would go tbh. I really fancy a safari, maybe Thailand, or maybe just a long weekend in Europe. I'm a bit over it being January and winter at the moment and I'm desperate for some sun. Our fence needs doing after the storm though so just ordered all of that to do in a couple of weeks so need to do a few bits like that first!

Honeybunie · 01/02/2024 20:19

Hey @seekingbabyk how is your FET cycle going? I hope you managed to start the meds okay and that everything is going to plan? Sorry I've been off grid for a while! just been here there and everywhere. and not much time to think of ivf and kids which is probably a good thing.
No we have to transfer this little guy first as it's out last bit of funding, which I think we'd lose if we started a new round privately. if it doesn't work then we'd go private and buy a two cycle pack i think. if so, might do the same as you and do two collections first then transfer due to age... it does makes sense.
oh a safari sounds intriguing, I never considered one, but my hairdresser has just been on one and it did sound pretty cool. but yeah you'll see whatever takes your fancy for your next holiday. hopefully you'll be preggers though!! 🍀
yeah it'd be lovely if we had a successful transfer around the same time and success. here's to hoping!! but even if not now, hopefully one day. there is still a bit of time and a good chance ❤turning 39 next week whoop. yours was in March wasn't it?

seekingbabyk · 01/02/2024 21:13

Hi @Honeybunie thanks for checking in. Yes I'm 39 in March. Actually one of the other threads for feb FETs a lot of the women are in their 40s so I feel a bit better about having time now. Yes started Progynova on Monday and aspirin. Feeling a bit run down on it tbh with headaches and dizziness but from what I've read your body needs to get used to it and then symptoms go. Did you have that?

I have a second scan next Wednesday and then looks like shrove Tues or maybe Valentine's Day transfer. They are moving our blasts from london to the new clinic in Eastbourne. Even though london is probably quicker we can drive to Eastbourne so I'm really glad about that.

I'm glad you are back with a plan of your next steps. I think when you have bad news like a failed transfer it's really easy to want to walk away but you just have to give it your best shot don't you and do what you can. I'm not sure about more cycles for us yet. I'd have to restart all the supplements anyway so if this one doesn't work we'll take the three months of supplements while we are deciding what to do.

Honeybunie · 03/02/2024 10:48

hey @seekingbabyk I'm glad you've started on the meds! sorry to hear you're feeling a little off with it! I never had any such symptoms luckily. I never felt different. In hindsight i think my mood differs on meds, but I never got any physical symptoms thank god. Can't be fun. aaww it'd be cute if it was a valentines transfer hehe. hope the scan goes well on Wednesday!
yeah we'll do what we can while we can I guess until we're officially too old. but I'm determined not to stress myself out over time and age. it is what it is. we'll see what we can fit it and when.
@KLM25 how're you getting on? which week are you now? x

seekingbabyk · 03/02/2024 12:11

Meds just seem to always affect me @Honeybunie although it's eased off today. It's just dizziness now. Wondering if my oestrogen dose is too high but I'll ask the clinic next week. Yes a valentines transfer would be cute 🥰

Honeybunie · 03/02/2024 15:12

@seekingbabyk yes some supplements affected you a bit too didn’t they? Glad you’re a bit better today. What oestrogen dose are you on?

seekingbabyk · 03/02/2024 15:45

@Honeybunie yeah they did. I think that was the brand of multivitamins though as the reviews said others had nausea too. I'm on 8mg progynova - 4 in the morning and 4 in the evening. I have a second scan Wednesday so will be interesting to see what's happening

KLM25 · 08/02/2024 08:59

I’m 17 weeks today @Honeybunie, every Thursday feels like a milestone ❤️ I feel ok, still waiting for the glow ha ha.
Sounds like you’ve been keeping busy, that’s great, did you say it was your birthday this week? Happy Birthday - hope you have/had a lovely day.
Hope your scan went well yesterday @seekingbabyk? Sorry you’ve been feeling rough on the progynova. Hopefully your body’s got a bit more used to it by now and you’re feeling better x

seekingbabyk · 08/02/2024 15:15

@KLM25 wow I can't believe how quickly that's going! Almost half way! Do you know what you are having yet?

Yes I feel fine now actually - it's because I was taking them without food but since I found that out it's been much better. Scan was fine yesterday and lining was 10.7mm which they're happy with. Start cyclogest tomorrow and transfer on Valentine's Day ❤️ not the having me on a bed with my legs in the air hubby was hoping for but a lovely day to do it 🥰

Your consultation is soon @Honeybunie isn't it?

Honeybunie · 09/02/2024 10:28

Hello ladies!
@seekingbabyk oh 10.7 lining is really good at this stage. it'll be perfect next week 😊haha aw it's nice it'll be on Valentine's day ❤so cute. interesting you're taking progynova twice a day. My clinic always does the dose three times a day. One cycle i had 6mg, so 2mg morning miday and evening. a later cycle it was 12mg, so 4mg three times a day. i reached the same result with both doses though interestingly enough.
yes I have my consultation Thursday next week. at last.. let's see if we can get another cycle in before April. it would work quite well for time wise, so fingers crossed.
@KLM25 wow 17 weeks already. that is just incredible. yes it's my birthday today 🍾thank you. We went for a nice dinner last night. and today we're just chilling or I am chilling hehe. took the day off to do whatever i feel like doing, just for myself 😊and probs go out later to celebrate 😊

seekingbabyk · 09/02/2024 11:00

@Honeybunie awwww happy birthday! A day just chilling to yourself- that sounds like heaven!

I guess because my lining has always been good they didn't need to work on that? They said anything over 8 is fine for transfer so they all seemed really happy- I just do as I'm told and let them be the experts!

I hope you have a lovely day/night celebrating. Have a glass of wine for me!

Honeybunie · 09/02/2024 11:57

Thanks @seekingbabyk ☺️ hehe I’ll have a glass for you 😄
yes my clinic says anything over 7. So you’re doing really really good on that front 😊 the progesterone will make it nice and plush now 😃

Honeybunie · 14/02/2024 19:16

@seekingbabyk how did it go today?? Did everything go to plan?? I hope so 🍀 Sorry been meaning to message you yesterday to wish you all the best for today and then forgot after all 🤦‍♀️ xx

seekingbabyk · 14/02/2024 19:20

@Honeybunie awww thanks and don't worry! Transfer went great today. Now have two little Frosties on board. I actually got a bit emotional after - bloody hormones - because of how pleasant the whole experience was. So different to last time!

seekingbabyk · 14/02/2024 19:21

@Honeybunie I hope your appointment goes ok tomorrow and you get the go ahead for a natural cycle!

Decaffe · 14/02/2024 19:52

Yay for two frosties @seekingbabyk! Keeping everything crossed for you! 🥰

Happy belated birthday @Honeybunie and good luck for your consultation tomorrow 😊

seekingbabyk · 14/02/2024 20:07

Thanks @Decaffe - how's everything with you?

Decaffe · 14/02/2024 20:43

All good here thank you, 8w2d today. Perpetually tired and hungry! We had the NHS early scan last week and all was well. Don’t get me wrong every day is still full of anxiety and what ifs but I can almost ‘see’ 12 weeks in my head now so hopefully it’ll come round soon. Continuing to find it very difficult to concentrate at work! 😅

seekingbabyk · 14/02/2024 20:44

@Decaffe awww that's amazing it's flying past! Glad everything is ok. You'll be at 12 weeks before you know it and the big energy increase ❤️

Honeybunie · 15/02/2024 12:14

@seekingbabyk aw I’m so glad all went well and you have two on board now. I think you’re the first person I know that had two transferred 🥰 double the chance that is soooo exciting!!! 🤩 I cross everything for you 🥰
thanks you @Decaffe 😊 wow beyond 8 weeks already. So glad the scan went well and all good with you. It’s all sounds very positive. I’m sure you’ll be fine now 🥰
consultation went well. He said two main issues which we can be quite sure of now I guess. Sperm quality and my lining. The only thing we can try and improve now is the lining. And he siad it is possible. As my lining has always been good after EC at fresh transfers after I had been injected with loads of oestrogen. So he wants me to use patches in the next short FET. They go straight into the blood not through the liver so should be better. Just waiting for a call from the nurse re dates. I should get my period on Sunday so I’d have to see if I can get meds before 🙈 like life isn’t stressful enough as it is at the moment. If not it’ll be may before we can start again and maybe not even then as I don’t wanna ruin the hen do trip over it. Just stressed and tired at the moment 😵

Spin101 · 15/02/2024 14:16

Hi ladies, sorry for my absence! I skimmed through the messages and @Decaffe i am so happy for you!! That’s great news!! the early days can be really nerve wracking. Try to enjoy it and not stress as it’s not good for you or your baby. So pleased for you!

@KLM25 i hope you’re getting on well! 🙂🙂

@seekingbabyk i have everything crossed for you and your embabies!

@Honeybunie im glad your consultant is proposing new protocols. Patching and Progynova is what I took. I drank tart cherry juice at night and raspberry leaf tea along with all the supplements. I know we’re all different and different protocols work differently on our bodies. Thinking of you x

seekingbabyk · 15/02/2024 14:42

@Spin101 thank you!

@Honeybunie @KLM25 @Imisscoffee2021 does anyone know what progesterone level they had at transfer? They have put me on PIO and said my result was 24.2 and they want it at 50. They weren't fussed though just said to start Protongest and that's all I need but just wanted something to compare to. TIA x

KLM25 · 15/02/2024 15:35

Hi ladies
@Honeybunie That sounds like a lovely chilled birthday, am so pleased you had a good time. Great news that the consultant has reviewed the estrogen and recommended the patches too. Hope you get the call from the nurse and get the meds, the logistics of all this are such a nightmare, I know how stressful it is.

@seekingbabyk Yay! Two little embabies onboard, that’s wonderful. I’m so pleased it all went well. So lovely that the transfer was on Valentine’s Day too ❤️ Mine was on Halloween ha ha ☺️ Your lining sounded amazing too.
Are they measuring your progesterone in nmol/ml? I just checked and mine was about 53 nmol/ml for my previous transfer and 52 for this recent successful one. I had to convert that from the Spanish way of measuring it though. I feel like my previous Czech clinic said that anything over 30 was ok and they never tested it as a rule. My first transfer with them was successful and I was on way less progesterone for that one than more recently - 600mg Cyclogest a day.
They’re all so different aren’t they. I don’t know what my levels were for that one as they never checked it.
Anyway, I had 2 embryos transferred on that very first go and it resulted in our son so 🤞🤞🤞 I’m really rooting for you.

@Decaffe That’s fantastic news that you’re 8 weeks already and everything was ok at your early scan. I know it must be going so slowly but it sounds like everything is going well ❤️

@Spin101 Thanks so much, how many weeks are you now? You must be nearly there? Hope you’re feeling ok and not too knackered.

Well I’m 18 weeks today and I think I might be feeling slightly better? I’m having more good days anyway. I think it’s mostly tiredness through lack of good sleep, but I’m not having to take my emergency stash of ginger biscuits everywhere I go these days ☺️ We’ve got the anomaly scan booked in for early March and the NHS consultant called me for the phone appt on Mon. I’m going to have extra scans plus apparently they’re going to check my blood pressure every 2 weeks after maybe 34 weeks I think she said? Must be because I’m a super geriatric Mum but I’m reassured that they’ll be keeping a close eye on me. I’m just on the aspririn daily now, so that’s not too bad x

seekingbabyk · 15/02/2024 18:51

@KLM25 awww I'm glad you are feeling better and it's great they are keeping an eye on you!

No idea to be honest. They didn't sound too worried though just handy to understand it more x

Imisscoffee2021 · 15/02/2024 19:45

@seekingbabyk I can't remember the exact figure now but I insisted on lubion after ny first failed transfer. I think when they measured it a few days before it was 35 and I wanted it higher though it was within clinics threshold. I took lubion til 12 weeks but tbh it was excessive as when I got a progesterone test before coming off just to be safe, it was near a thousand I think! Placenta was working too. I bled before the otd on first round and have low progesterone anyway.

Wishing those two embabies well, and you! Fingers crossed this is the round!

Lovely to hear of pregnancy updates and rounds embarked on again :) hope everyone's well x
