@KLM25 omg this is wonderful, I checked in today after seeing your OTD is today (I'm still rooting for you all ladies, if you make another thread when this fills pls do add me). So happy for you! I know it's tempered with worry, I was the same xx

Thank you so much @Honeybunie and @seekingbabyk ❤️ We’re trying not to get ahead of ourselves but feeling happy that at least there has been implantation!
And yes, I was expecting to be going out to buy wine and chocolate today but instead it’s more pregnancy tests and aspirin!
Hope you’re both ok and you’ve got nice weekends planned x

KLM25 · 10/11/2023 09:11

Thank you so much @Imisscoffee2021, sorry I only just saw your post ❤️ Yes it’s impossible not to worry isn’t it, knowing how early it is and how many things can go wrong. I think we’re just constantly trying to protect ourselves. But it definitely feels good to have crossed the first hurdle. Hope all good with you! Xx

seekingbabyk · 10/11/2023 09:11

@Imisscoffee2021 awww it's lovely to see your name pop up on here! How are you now? And how's little Reuben? Sorry if I got that wrong 😬 are you still planning your Scotland move next year?

@KLM25 I'm sure you're happy to sacrifice for this result! Does your clinic not want a blood test then? I thought most ask for that quite soon after a positive?

KLM25 · 10/11/2023 09:14

@seekingbabyk Ha ha, yes I definitely am!
No, it’s strange, they ask for a blood test if it’s negative, so they can confirm to stop the meds I suppose, but their original email said to just book a scan for 15 days time if the urine test is positive. My previous clinic didn’t ask you to do a HPT at all, they just asked you to do the blood test 14 days after transfer. It’s funny how they’re all different x

seekingbabyk · 10/11/2023 09:17

@KLM25 yes I guess that makes sense! So happy for you x

Imisscoffee2021 · 10/11/2023 09:25

@KLM25 @seekingbabyk hi ladies! I moved to Scotland when Reuben was 6 weeks, he's 15 weeks now :) was so hard, I missed my friends terribly and my London life but this couple of years countryside sabbatical is starting to be fun, and going from a tiny flat to a house with a big garden has been so great, we were so cramped with all his kit in first 6 weeks and it definitely added to the unexpectedly hard first few weeks 😅

@KLM25 whatever makes you feel more confident, I did a few private hcg checks! I don't think I got dye stealers til a good while after otd, and don't be scared in a few weeks I'd you test and it's fainter, happened to me and was gutted then realised it was the hook effect, too much hcg for test to cope with. So so happy for you :) x

@Imisscoffee2021 Lovely picture ❤️😊
So great to hear your update! I’m so pleased that it’s starting to feel like fun in Scotland. I can imagine it was really hard to start with, so much change. But in other ways, really good timing, as I found I met new people just through having our little boy, so hopefully it’s been the same for you! Plus I bet it’s amazing having a garden and lots of space for all Reuben’s baby stuff ❤️
Really lovely to hear from you and thank you for the advice about the dye stealers, that has definitely reassured me x

seekingbabyk · 10/11/2023 09:44

@Imisscoffee2021 oh that's so lovely! Our new house is more rural - a good 20 mins drive to a town which is weird for someone used to living in a town centre! But honestly loving it and the sense of community in our little village is amazing it feels so welcoming. So happy for you. Are you thinking about number 2 yet or are you stopping at 1? It must feel lovely knowing you have lots of Frosties for when you're ready 😁

Imisscoffee2021 · 10/11/2023 09:59

@seekingbabyk our village is too tiny, needs a cafe and a bookshop and would be great, literally has a gp, pharmacy, and two shops. I'm learning to drive now as really need to here! Yours sounds lovely! I've made a mum friend pff Peanut which has been great and my sister with her 1 Yr old nd newborn are up the drive:)

We said we'd stop at one and still will. During the hormonal let down after birth for weeks I cried my eyes out thinking he's an only child and then thinking that he was a frosty along with the others, and who might those little ones be. Tbh still makes me really sad, and we've paid another year storage but I can't see having another, lots of reasons really and we always said we wouldn't have one just so Reuben wouldn't be an only child but it's harder now he's here. Literally the day he was born the intrusive thoughts started and I was crying looking at him in the hospital crib cos we'd die one day and leave him😂I'm so in control usually was a shock! Ivf is a minefield isn't it mist ppl don't hv to worry about these things!

seekingbabyk · 10/11/2023 10:04

@Imisscoffee2021 oh I'm so sorry you went through that. Lots of people are in the "one and done" category now and you have to do what's right for you. After your traumatic birth experience I'm not surprised you were feeling all of that. Lack of sleep, hormones, probably ptsd from the whole ordeal can completely change your whole life plan! My sister was adamant she didn't want kids now she hates them going to school each day and just wants to be at home with them. I think you never really know until you're in the situation with them!

I'm glad you're keeping the Frosties going for a bit longer though. Give yourself a good amount of time to completely decide for sure once you have a normal sleep routine back!

MinBins · 10/11/2023 10:12

Ahh congrats @KLM25 - so happy for you, and keeping fingers crossed it all goes smoothly. I've not been active but I also do keep a check in to see how everyone is doing. Lots of happy hopeful celebrations with you 🥳🥳🥳

MinBins · 10/11/2023 10:16

@Imisscoffee2021 I had similar thoughts with my first. It was the dawning realisation that someone else was more important to us and we were wholly responsible for them. And ALL of the intrusive thoughts. I read somewhere that it's biology's (rubbish) way of ensuring the mum is aware and protects the child. Hope you're okay and the Scotland life sounds beautiful. 💖

KLM25 · 10/11/2023 14:19

Thanks so much @MinBins ❤️ We’re keeping everything crossed. Lovely to hear from you, hope all good with you? Xx

Spin101 · 10/11/2023 14:37

@KLM25 that’s great news! ❤️ I’m really pleased for you! I know how nerve wracking this period is. I’m still anxious to this day! I hope you’re able to keep busy and enjoy knowing your test was positive!

@Honeybunie i hope you’re well! My consultant said the scratch would be like a smear test! I literally shouted at him in an jokey way lol. It was horrible!

MinBins · 10/11/2023 14:59

All well @KLM25 - not sure if I mentioned, but we had a little girl in September via emergency section. She's almost 10 weeks now, the time has flown!

Imisscoffee2021 · 10/11/2023 15:37

@MinBins emcs for me too! Congratulations on your little girl :) xx

Aaww lovely to hear everyone’s updates ☺️
@Imisscoffee2021 cute pic of you and Reuben 🥰 village life in Scotland with a proper house and garden sounds so lovely to raise your little boy.
@MinBins aawwww so glad your little girl made it into this world safe and well. Fab news ❤️
@Spin101 so lovely to hear from you. I hope your pregnancy is going super duper well 🥰 I forgot you had a scratch done. Was that before your successful transfer? It was the most horrible thing I’ve ever had done 🫣 I’m keeping quite well really. Not stressing too much about things at the moment. Whatever will be will be. Not very hopeful it’ll ever work for us but you never know xx

Decaffe · 10/11/2023 16:04

Echoing @Honeybunie it is heartwarming to hear all the lovely news. So pleased for everyone 💕

Spin101 · 10/11/2023 16:34

@MinBins congratulations!! 🥰🥰🥰 that’s great news! Hope you’re both doing really well

@Honeybunie the scratch was before my first transfer and it was the second that was successful. I’m glad you’re keeping well. I understand it’s hard to be hopeful, I’m still really hoping for positive news for you

@Decaffe @Imisscoffee2021 @seekingbabyk I hope you’re all well!

KLM25 · 10/11/2023 17:28

Thanks so much @Spin101, really glad to hear you’re doing well ❤️ Yes, nerve wracking is the word! But I’ll take it day by day and we’re really happy to get the positive test at least, after all those BFNs.

Awww @MinBins, that’s wonderful ❤️Congratulations! So happy to hear your news. Enjoy all those baby snuggles x

seekingbabyk · 10/11/2023 18:22

Awww congratulations @MinBins 💖

When are you sue @Spin101 - hope you're doing well!

I think @Tinkerbell098 should have had her baby now too 🥰

@Decaffe how are you doing now?

It's lovely hearing from everyone 🥰

Spin101 · 10/11/2023 19:09

@KLM25 ❤️

@seekingbabyk I’m due in March x

Honeybunie · 10/11/2023 19:53

Thanks @Spin101 ❤️
that’s good to know! It’ll be interesting to see if the scratch will make a difference to my lining thickness or not. Kinda hoping not as I wouldn’t be keen to have it done again! Wow March isn’t far off is it. So amazing how time flies. Must be lovely being mid pregnancy after getting the first trimester out of the way and before you start getting really big 😅

@KLM25 enjoy the positive news. Really chuffed for you 😊
xx
