How are you feeling @seekingbabyk? Hope the side effects have eased - how are you feeling about the trigger? Exciting!

@girljulian ah yes they'll have learned what works vs what doesn't - I'm hoping this time round it's much better for you! I've not been on menopur before, I was previously on Meriofert (150) when it was cancelled, then they also threw in the kitchen sink and it was upped to 300 Bemfola (with fyremadel later on). 😂

@MinBins I'm ok thanks lovely. Having ups and downs but almost done so just keeping that in my mind. My EC is booked for 10.30 Monday atm but have a scan tomorrow so I'm hoping that doesn't change. Trying to get all our work and housework up to date over next couple of days so I can chill after the collection. How's you? When is your next scan? Will you find out gender?x

In other news, as a part of our 3 cycle package we get 3 ECs and unlimited transfers within 12 months. Our first cycle was in august so it meant that we would have to transfer possible multiple times before then. The house we have bought needs a lot of work so we were getting a bit worried about trying to squeeze in transfers before august but they have just emailed to say they will extend it until feb 24 for us! So happy. Not that we will wait that long but if we had a few failed transfers it just gives us breathing space now 😁

I have been quiet here recently because, well, everything is on hold until my next surgery. I am waiting for an appointment with my surgeon to review my MRI and hopefully get some dates for when I could be having the surgery. Until the surgery, I am 100% infertile, which is shit. No point even trying naturally. There will be at least 3 months' medical menopause and then the surgery will have a 3 month recovery. Just such a huge time pressure being on the wrong side of 40.

@Decaffe hope the next three months are too hard to get your head around, must be so hard after huge focus on TTC! but it's all steps towards conceiving your baby so hopefully not long now!

@seekingbabyk That’s a great bit of news that they’ve extended your package, that’s another 6 months is it? 😊 Really great to have a bit more breathing space. We’re in the middle of a house renovation too so I’m finding it helpful to focus on that during the waits in between treatment. At least I can do some painting at the moment and not worry that I’m jeopardising anything! I do worry that we’re depleting our renovation funds with seemingly endless IVF costs but I try to put that to the back of my mind. I’m hoping it will all be worthwhile.

@Decaffe I’m so sorry to hear that you’re still waiting, I know how hard it is to feel like you’re in limbo. Have they given you any idea of how long an appointment might take? x

@KLM25 yes I know that feeling. Lucky for us the house is only 25 years old but it is filthy so needs everything redoing. How some people live in filth is beyond me! But I'm more concerned about if it takes a while to go through, then 6 weeks or so to get a bathroom and bedroom done, and I don't want to leave it all to hubby. It's our 4th Reno so we're well practiced now just done want to feel completely useless and I would like to be able to spend the 2WW resting and giving it a really good chance.

Awww @Decaffe I'm sore it's a waiting game for you. We'll probably end up transferring the same time the rate I'm going! Can you start on the meds now so that you're making progress? I laughed at the "no point even trying" because it rang so true. Sex has become this ridiculous activity that feels like it needs to be for a reason when you go through infertility. It's like not wanting to exercise if your Fitbit battery is dead! Im definitely looking forward to returning to sex for fun once this is over!

Thanks all, appointment at 1.30 didn’t get seen till just before 4pm when I went in they mistook me for someone else with a similar name so then after an hour and half waiting I asked how much longer and they said ohh sorry we didn’t check you in it was a mistake so then I had to wait till they finished with someone they were with. There was no change as expected so I had already decided the medication treatment would be best for me so then they put me in the staff room cos they were behind and needed the room and had to wait there for a bit for a doctor to come and go through the medication for me. And then to top it off I forgot what level I had parked the car on so I was going up and down each level to find the car lol! So now going to wait till hubby gets home then I have to put 4 tablets vaginally then wait 3 hours and put another. Hopefully it won’t be too bad and pass easily. Feel crap but at least have closure now and look forward to going away in a couple of weeks!

@seekingbabyk exciting that trigger could be Saturday and EC Monday, feels it’s gone quickly!

@1stcycle awww that’s a hell of day 🙈 sorry to hear. But glad you got what you needed and can move on now. Hope it’s not too painful and emotional 🙈 x
@seekingbabyk ah that’s bloody good news about the extension. Was it three cycles in one year? Wow 😯 hope it’ll all work out with renovations and transfers. I’m sure it will. Glad you got an estimated EC for Monday. It’s gone so quickly hasn’t it. Crossing all my fingers for you xx

Aaww @Decaffe hope you recovered well from your procedure. I can imagine it must feel weird being in limbo for a while with the clock seemingly ticking in the background but it’s all for the greater good and hopefully it’ll all work out for you 😊 xx

@1stcycle I'm really glad you are being so positive. Sounds like a really crap day all in all but you have a plan now and can move forwards. I hope the next few days aren't too bad for you and I'm glad you have some closure now.

@Honeybunie yes this is my third cycle in 7 months but only transferred on round 1 so it hasn't been too bad. I will be so glad for this but to be done though!

Has it gone quickly? I feel like I'm on day 574 of stims and really had enough now! I'm crampy and twingy, mood swings, constantly tired and hungry and it's started to ache when I pee lol! It's probably worse because it's the third round in such a short time too but I am 100% having a glass of wine one day next week and I will take great pleasure in handing over that sharps box knowing this but is done 😁

@seekingbabyk Yeah I guess time is not flying for you when in the middle of it. Time has flown for me since Christmas 😆 it’s like 💥 and three months have gone 😆 just in Singapore airport waiting for our flight to Bali 🍹
oh I remember the soreness when peeing and the seat belt pressing on my swollen belly 🙈 not pleasant. sorry to hear you’re having all these other symptoms too. Not long now tho 😊

@Honeybunie @seekingbabyk thanks guys, I started bleeding just before bed and had some painful cramps but nothing more than what I have had with periods in the past just more prolonged I guess. Took tablets and got into a position where I felt most comfortable and hot water bottle and managed to get some sleep but woke a few times. Still feeling crap but at least not in limbo waiting now. No idea what our next steps will be, just going to take some time before deciding on another cycle, but if we do go ahead it won’t be until july at least as we have a few things on.

@seekingbabyk did you say you have a scan today?

I'm glad you're not in too much pain @1stcycle it's probably good to give your body a rest to recover too. Do you know what has caused your infertility? I was told the months after a MC you are more fertile and more likely ti fall pregnant naturally.

@seekingbabyk nope ours is unknown fertility. On paper everything looks good with me and my partner but no luck in last 4 years. I will take this time to look into more tests and see if there are more supplements life changes etc we can do as well. After my last cycle that ended in a chemical we had another “natural” chemical pregnancy the next month so maybe it is true you are more fertile, so we may be lucky and catch naturally the next few months…wouldn’t that be nice haha!!

Aww us too @1stcycle I'm starting to think ours is just stress and lifestyle related and leaving it until into our 30s? I'm keeping everything crossed for you that you're getting a natural BFP in the next couple of months!

Thanks @girljulian - some are small so not all of them will have eggs or be potentials but we will see next week. They've asked me to do an extra menopur tomorrow to try to grow as many as possible so hopefully that will help too. Was your baseline today?

@1stcycle hope you're ok and not too much in pain. At least you're not in limbo anymore. Are they doing more bloods to ensure everything's OK or were you just asked to check on a FRER at home? Take care of yourself in the next few days and take plenty of rest. Fingers crossed you can fall naturally in the coming months!

@1stcycle Sorry to hear about what happened at the clinic last week, not ideal at all when you’re going through this 😏 Hope you had a better night last night and you’re through the worst of it. I’m glad you’re out of the limbo anyway and you can move forward now ❤️ Lovely to have a trip away to look forward to.
