Aw that’s amazing, I’m so pleased for you and your DH! 🥺 Now you can relax and enjoy the weekend! ❤️

Imisscoffee2021 · 25/11/2022 17:16

@Decaffe thank you! How are you feeling? Xx

Decaffe · 25/11/2022 17:27

I’m ok thank you, feeling fine within myself. Have done three Lubion injections so far and my tum feels a bit bruised/sore. Just hoping that I was able to start the ‘luteal recovery’ as it is called in the literature, in time.

I think someone mentioned upthread that it wouldn’t implant straightaway and I do think that might be a good thing about the fact it was a 3 grade rather than a 4/5/6. I’m hoping that during the time it’s grown into a ‘ready to hatch’ blast, so the injections have helped to bring my progesterone up.

I’m just trying to take it easy really. Can’t change what’s happened! 😐

Imisscoffee2021 · 25/11/2022 17:41

Lubion really stings and tummy feels sore after for ages, I've got hardly anywhere I haven't punctured near my belly button atm! I had an expanded 5 day blast put in on a Thursday. I had some pokey cramps on Saturday night and Sunday, was in a towering bad mood all Sunday when I never am, was just really grumpy at work that day, then had two instances of faint pink spotting on that Sunday night after work. The next morning I had the squinter of squinters on a frer which detects hcg of 6, and then a faint bfp the next day. So my grade 5 took 2 full days to implant, hope that bit of personal experience helps as you'd have time to build up progesterone in that time with lubion :)

Imisscoffee2021 · 25/11/2022 17:42

And it was a frozen which can take longer apparently! @Decaffe

itshimi · 25/11/2022 17:53

@Imisscoffee2021 I just started Lubion today! I'm on 1x Lubion, 3x Cyclogest and 4x a Progynova everyday. I have so many bruises from all the previous injections, as they had me on an anticoagulant too to keep the blood flow higher in the uterus.

I think my Lubion continues for almost 7 weeks now so not looking forward to it as it feels quite sore compared to the rest.

I did ice a spot on my tummy (for almost 10-12 mins) before injections and it didn't hurt at all - so might be something to try. It's only hurting now, almost 7 hours later 😞

itshimi · 25/11/2022 17:54

@Decaffe keeping everting crossed that it implants. Hope you're feeling okay now. It's the wait that is the most annoying xx

Decaffe · 25/11/2022 18:09

Oh that timeline is very good to know, thanks @Imisscoffee2021 I will make a note of that.

Ooh ice sounds like a really good idea @itshimi I will give that a go.

Ladies if you ever go onto six Cyclogest a day then all I'm saying is be really, really careful if you feel you need to pass wind 😳🤭😱😂

I just typed 'wine' then instead of wind, how much I would love a glass! I know that one is supposed to be ok but I have The Fear haha.

MinBins · 25/11/2022 20:05

That's great to see @Imisscoffee2021 - wonderful news.

Hope things are okay with the injections @Decaffe and fingers crossed for you!

itshimi · 25/11/2022 20:19

@Decaffe 6 Cyclogests! That's a LOT! 😳😳 I thought 3 was excessive 😂

seekingbabyk · 25/11/2022 22:26

@Imisscoffee2021 awwww that's soooo cute - I'm really relieved for you both! Nice that you got a little picture too!

Glad you're feeling ok today @Decaffe - yes I think by tomorrow your levels Will be much better with that lot!

Finally the bloat has started to go down today! Still not feeling 100% but definitely an improvement 😁

Tinkerbell098 · 26/11/2022 09:48

@Imisscoffee2021 aww really cute photos. You and hubby must be so thrilled! I’m really happy for you both X

@Decaffe amazing you got to source some lubion. Like you said, they should have suggested that to you. How are you feeling now? Would they check your progesterone after lubion? Yes it definitely would take a few days to implant so by then your levels would be optimal.

@seekingbabyk glad the bloating has eased off a bit. Keep drinking loads of water and hope you feel better soon.

Morning all, happy weekend 😊

I felt my boobs go a bit sore last night and then they were a bit sore when I woke up today so that’s good. Yes I am going back in on Monday morning for another prog test @Tinkerbell098 so that’ll be interesting.

I found a study that says if ‘luteal phase rescue’ by means of prog injection is performed on the day of transfer to women whose progesterone is below 9.2, then rescue can happen and outcomes can be equivalent! The clinic should have known this.

Anyway, this weekend, I am mostly going to be looking out for any twinging, pulling and cramping. 😁 What’s everyone up to? Anything nice planned? I have a cuppa here and a good book while DH is having quite the lie in! 😁

MinBins · 26/11/2022 14:12

A cuppa and a good book sounds lovely @Decaffe - hope you're able to wind down and relax. And hope your test on Monday goes well!

I'm sorting the house out this weekend and decluttering. (Somehow it's more cluttered after the decluttering howww 😂😂) Hope you have a lovely weekend.

seekingbabyk · 26/11/2022 17:36

That's @Tinkerbell098 - much better today feel back to normal except from the effects of the sedation mean I haven't been to the loo for about 4 days so that's my main issue now but everything else is fine thank god!

@Decaffe that's amazing my boobs hurt the whole time taking progesterone so thank god it's a good sign your levels have risen! Be good to see the next set of results!

@MinBins - doing exactly the same clearing out and getting house sorted. Might put tree up tomorrow- feel like we needs some Xmas cheer now!

We are off to New York next Saturday for 5 nights so this week will be getting packed, finishing work off, etc so we can relax whilst there!

How you feeling @itshimi and @Imisscoffee2021 ? Have either have you been suffering with exhaustion and sickness or any other weird side effects or cravings yet?

Imisscoffee2021 · 26/11/2022 18:03

@seekingbabyk oh god I had the worst constipation after sedation, not helped by the fact I was following a strict healthy diet leading up to EC and I binged on a child's feast afterwards, had macarons, tiramisu, salty McDonald's fries, everything I had craved 😅I was in agony, spent about 3 hours in a warm bath drinking mint tea after mint tea, wasn't right for days afterwards 😐

I've had some nausea when I haven't had much to eat and I don't have much of an appetite, this morning the nausea was really bad and I was sick. I've been up at 5am every morning for the loo and then can't sleep again so been so so tired in the days, spent alot of today snoozing in bed! Had so much to do!

New York will be so festive! I've been but was nearer Halloween so there weren't many decorations up yet, I love this twinkly time of year :)

Imisscoffee2021 · 26/11/2022 18:06

@Tinkerbell098 thank you :) it was amazing seeing the heart with him there, looking forward to next scan on 5th December, really do just leap frog from scan to scan in terms of relief!

seekingbabyk · 26/11/2022 18:20

@Imisscoffee2021 I can't tell you how full up I feel! Great idea I'll try some mint tea tonight! I'm glad you haven't felt too bad - it's mad that you are over half way through the first trimester now too!

Imisscoffee2021 · 26/11/2022 18:24

@seekingbabyk that's a nice way to think of it! I should be 12 weeks on NYE if things keep progressing. I've definitely got symptoms but not as bad as my friends had, they both had girls though and apparently hcg is higher in girls? One friend was sick from 5 weeks onwards, daily with almost constant nausea. I felt like something was wrong when I didn't have the few hours of nausea in the morning and when I have an empty stomach is fine by me! Definitely way more tired than usual too. I really want to tell my oldest friend, she told me on the day she found out she was oregnant with her fjrst which sadly ended in a MC at before 6 weeks, she waited tol 10 weeks to tell me about her current pregnancy (she'll be 6 months about now :) but everything I go to type it I just can't bring myself to tell her! I so wouldn't mind talking to her if things went wrong as she's been there, something just stops me pressing send and I delete the message. She knows I had the transfer, as do two other friends as they're work colleagues and covered for me alot, just can't bring myself to tell anyone yet. So glad I have this lovely group to spill the beans to!

Imisscoffee2021 · 26/11/2022 18:26

@seekingbabyk also feel bad not telling my mam, but I'd rather tell her when it's safer as she's been so worried about us since my husbands diagnosis of infertility. Wierdly she rang me when we'd just got out of the scan yesterday, she's usually a whatsapp messager to keep in touch but she just randomly called for a chat, perhaps a sixth sense that something big was happening :)

seekingbabyk · 26/11/2022 18:37

@Imisscoffee2021 awww I do get that with both. I think when you have infertility you get this weird sense that if you keep everything exactly as it is it'll be fine and then if you change anything or tell someone it will all go wrong.

It won't though. It'll all go along exactly as it's meant to no matter who you tell. I always think a Christmas reveal is nice for family too - "world's best nana" type mug or something. Are you seeing your family at Christmas?

Imisscoffee2021 · 26/11/2022 19:24

@seekingbabyk yeah I'm going up north then up to ny sisters in Scotland for Xmas eve and Xmas day, finally meet my nephew as he was in hospital when I last visited so couldn't see him :( first Xmas day with family in 2 years what with restrictions! Are you with family too? At least you know you'll be bloat free at Christmas and hopefully with lots of little embabies in the bank!

seekingbabyk · 26/11/2022 20:33

@Imisscoffee2021 yeah we are hosting as per usual. My mum is on her own and MIL too so we have a "waifs and strays" Christmas with lots of random people like friends who we Ed single or last year my brother in law was packed up to move so he came with his other half. I just hide in the kitchen cooking and let hubby entertain!

Awww that would be so nice to tell them all together too x

seekingbabyk · 27/11/2022 08:50

Just had the call from clinic and one one can be frozen today and it's a 4BC too! Absolutely gutted. She said they are keeping the other 8 on until tomorrow and there are 3 at early blast stage so just keeping everything crossed for those ones x

Imisscoffee2021 · 27/11/2022 09:03

@seekingbabyk sorry youre disappointed, but lots of people have some frozen at day 6, they just need that extra little bit of time, hopefully you get a positive call tomorrow with a few extra embabies to freeze. Early blastocyst is good though isn't it? Shows they're heading in right direction, and it doesn't take long to get to blast or expanded blastocyst, got my fingers crossed and rooting for your little fellas to reach that stage tomorrow. It's positive there wasn't a huge drop off, and that you definitely have one and maybe even 4 in the running for this round! Did the embryologist sounds positive?
