@Decaffe yes I remember you saying. I guess I've been using them for 7 weeks now so there's only so much my vagina can handle. It does feel a bit itchy and disgusting so I wouldn't be surprised if it is really irritated the kin around the cervix. 🤞that's what it is. Thanks for the support X

Glad the doctor said it was likely nothing to be concerned about @Tinkerbell098. While I don't have experience with cyclogest - I've heard the pessaries can irritate the cervix and cause spotting, as @Imisscoffee2021 mentioned.

Did the EPU give any feedback or reassurance? Hope you're okay and stay positive - Tuesday is just round the corner hope the next couple of days zoom by🤞🏼🤞🏼

@ralno2 those are good numbers and fingers crossed for the next few days!

I picked up my ultrogestan today so no more chemist runs.

1stcycle · 04/02/2023 17:02

@ralno2 glad all went well and 4 out of 5 fertilised is great! I’m sure whatever you decide frozen or fresh will be the right and best for you!

@Tinkerbell098 I’m so sorry this is worrying you! It’s just a constant worry I bet until baby is here. I’m like many have said a bit of blood is normal in pregnancies so I hope that is the case for you too, but I know it’s hard not to worry. Sending positive thoughts xxxx

Decaffe · 05/02/2023 11:24

How are you today @Tinkerbell098?

Tinkerbell098 · 05/02/2023 13:39

@Decaffe I'm alright today. Thanks ❤️ just going to stay positive until Tuesdays scan. I'm still spotting but at least it hasn't gotten heavier. So hopefully it stays that way 🤞

Tinkerbell098 · 05/02/2023 13:40

@1stcycle @MinBins thanks both. Yes going to stay positive and hope it's nothing serious.

seekingbabyk · 05/02/2023 14:49

@Tinkerbell098 I had irritation from pessaries too - felt a bit like internal thrush and also spotting so I'll def be asking for something else next time we transfer. Hopefully your spotting will stop in the next day or two and you'll get to see your little bean growing again on Tuesday ❤️

Thats great news @ralno2 - will you get a day 3 update or will it be day 5 now? We're all rooting for them!

@MinBins that's great news about your prescription - are you taking that until week 12?

Imisscoffee2021 · 05/02/2023 14:58

@Tinkerbell098 you're being so strong and measured about it, if it's only a little brown spotting it should be old blood moving out. I'm sure I read somewhere about placental burrowing causing a small bleed that can then be expelled as old blood. Roll on Tuesday though when you can see the bubs again and know for sure, I know exactly how you're feeling as I went through similar myself xx

ralno2 · 05/02/2023 15:21

Thanks all @Tinkerbell098 @1stcycle @Decaffe @MinBins

im not sure @seekingbabyk they told us in the London clinic that no news was good news, I’ve been booked in preliminarily on Wednesday for a fresh transfer.

I have a scan on Monday with the consultant as I haven’t fully decided whether I want a fresh/ frozen transfer. Plus they think my lining is irregular so they want to check that tomorrow before any decisions are made.

I have been taking the cyclogest as if I am going for a fresh transfer on Wednesday.

seekingbabyk · 05/02/2023 15:26

Keeping everything crossed for you @ralno2 - don't be disheartened if you can't do a fresh though - everything seems to happen for a reason x

Imisscoffee2021 · 05/02/2023 15:34

@ralno2 I found frozen so much easier on me than a fresh transfer, felt so much more myself and that's the one that worked for me so frozen can be really positive :)

ralno2 · 05/02/2023 15:41

Yes, definitely believe everything happens for a reason! @seekingbabyk

Thanks @Imisscoffee2021 that definitely helps. We have a trip to Australia booked April so realistically I would wait until after we are back which would be may. Seems so far away! But in my head I’m thinking it might be a better option, I think I’ll wait to see what the consultant says tomorrow and then make my decision from there.

I did ask about the trip to Australia before we started IVF the the nurse said it usually doesn’t impact unless the pregnancy is high risk and she said based on my medical history and age there shouldn’t be but it would be a decision I would have to make myself.

MinBins · 05/02/2023 19:28

Glad you're staying positive @Tinkerbell098 - it really does sound like spotting that might be irritation - but I know it's near impossible to stay relaxed about it until we're reassured - sending you all the positive thoughts - Tuesday will be here soon 💖

Yep @seekingbabyk - have the remainder of the prescription now - and supposed to be taking it till week 12.

@ralno2 hoping it all goes well - good luck! I had a fresh transfer and while it was positive for me, it totally wiped me out doing it after stims and egg collection. I didn't know where my energy disappeared to! I was grateful for the Christmas holidays to be able to recover. Do whatever you feel is best for you and it'll all work out 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Tinkerbell098 · 06/02/2023 09:42

Thanks all for the support. It really means a lot.

@ralno2 thinking of you today X

@Tinkerbell098 glad they could bring the scan forward to tomorrow. Hope you can some how not stress to much before then.

I just had my third stims scan and leading ones are at 17 at the mo they said they are growing slow but steady, they want a few more to catch up so two more days of stims and should be triggering wed for egg collection Friday. Which means I’ll at least have the weekend to recover after and won’t need to take an extra day off work but annoyingly had to buy more medication to last till wed so my bank account wasn’t happy with that haha! I was kind of hoping that I’d be ready today as I’m not sure why but this time round I’ve found the stims harder, maybe because it’s a higher dose. But last night I just felt uncomfortable/irritated and really low which is not like me. But knowing it should only be a couple more days and hopefully get a few more mature eggs makes it worth it 😊

Tinkerbell098 · 06/02/2023 11:20

@1stcycle keeping myself busy with work today, so hope it flies by. Extra stims can really make a difference, so hang in there for a couple of more days, it will be worth it. Also, as you said, Friday would be better for collection as you can recover over the weekend. How many days have you been stimming for now? I remember after about a week, I was fed up and wanted it over. So I know how you feel.

seekingbabyk · 06/02/2023 11:24

@1stcycle I'm really feeling for you - I hate that last few days before EC - felt so fed up and over it! It was definitely worth it though that we had a much better result on round 2 so stick with it and it'll be over before you know it. Great that you'll have the weekend to recover too x

1stcycle · 06/02/2023 12:37

@Tinkerbell098 ah good hope work takes your mind off it a little 😊
Today will be day 10 of stims, I did my trigger on day 10 last time, but I had a couple follicles that was already at 22/24mm then so we needed to trigger but there were quite a few that were below the line and they wanted them to catch up there was a big jump in sizes, so in EC I got 9 eggs but only 5 were mature. So this time I had to take 2 tablets this time 1 from day 19-25 and the other from day 21 until I got my period to keep the follicles the same size and quiet before stims, this time she said they are a lot more similar sizes so yeah @seekingbabyk it’s good going that little bit longer hoping that more will be mature and hopefully get a couple in the freezer as my savings are nearly non existent now and can’t think of how I’ll pay for another round at moment 🤦🏽‍♀️

seekingbabyk · 06/02/2023 12:40

@1stcycle it is definitely a big hit on your bank balance this journey! Keeping everything crossed that you have a really successful round this time and this will be your last one x

How's the bleeding now @Tinkerbell098 ?

MinBins · 06/02/2023 14:31

@1stcycle they did that with me too, the extra payment for the meds wasn't fun 😂 but the two days for me really helped.

It sucks at the end stages though, I can imagine you wanting EC to be here already - good luck with everything!

@Tinkerbell098 how are you feeling today? Is it still ongoing spotting? Tomorrow will be here soon 💖

Spin101 · 06/02/2023 20:09

@Decaffe That’s great news your procedure has been booked in very soon!

@seekingbabyk I hope you had a lovely time away! :)

@ralno2 My consultant wasn’t happy with my lining after EC and proposed doing FETs.

@Tinkerbell098 I hope the spotting/bleeding you’ve had is from the pessaries and nothing more. I hope they’re able to provide you with reassurance tomorrow!

Spin101 · 06/02/2023 20:15

An update from me - I’ve been on 8mg Prognova for almost 3 weeks now. They added 50mcg patches (every 3 days) a week ago at my first FET scan. I had another scan on Friday and the consultant said my lining is still thin (4mm) but a triple line so we may be able to transfer. Went in for a scan today and even though lining is still only at 4mm, the doctor said we should go ahead with the transfer. There was literally no movement in the thickness from friday to today. I think that’s just my body.

I’ve been reading about baby aspirin helping thin lining, and wondering if I should ask my clinic about it. Are any of you taking it?

I’m waiting for confirmation of transfer date. I hope my already thin lining doesn’t break down and am worried about irritation from the progesterone pessaries. 🙈🙈Any recommendations on which passage to insert the pessaries? 😂

Cat89 · 06/02/2023 21:57

@Tinkerbell098 Hope the scan goes ok tomorrow. Just caught up on the thread, you poor thing! If it's just brown spotting though and not a heavy bright red flow with severe cramping then likelihood is everything is ok, but hopefully scan can confirm this tomorrow and put you at ease 🤞🙂.

@Decaffe Great news you've got a date booked in!

@ralno2 Hope everything is going ok and you get an embryo to transfer fresh or frozen. Let us know!

@1stcycle good luck for Friday, it will be here before you know it. Exciting! ☺️

@Spin101 I wouldn't be able to advise sorry, the medics will know what's best for you. I had vaginal pessaries and personally was fine on them with no issues, but like others here have stated it can cause irritation in some people. Everyone is so different it's hard to say. Good luck!

Imisscoffee2021 · 07/02/2023 06:51

Thanking of you this morning @Tinkerbell098 , hope all is well with your little bubs x

MinBins · 07/02/2023 08:00

Good luck today @Tinkerbell098 💖
