Hi ladies! 👋
Just as the post says... cycle day 1 of my first IVF round, 20 days until I start Norethisterone then Menopur & Fyremadel.
Looking for others starting cycle or in the cycle for some company.
Sending lots of luck to you all! ❤️

Hi @AbsolutelyEverything, my egg collection is the day before what would have been my normal ovulation day :) I did short protocol so I started stims on day 2 and continued until day cycle day 12, then triggered on cycle day 13 so a few days later is roughly ovulationnday, depends on cycle and how long you stim for/respond but for mild ivf I understandnit closely matches your natural cycle?

@acaciabluebell @seekingbabyk I triggered last night and did a pregnancy and LH test this morning to see what was happening, and both blazing bright positives (first positive pregnancy test I've ever seen of my own, shame its not for a baby yet!) So it's absorbed and worked, and now I'm faxing 24 anxious hours as I usually ovulate overnight the day I get a LH surge 😵‍💫 I asked the nurses about this and they said it won't be the same as its HCG so really going they're right and I'm not one of the 1 in 200 women to ovulate early, we don't like odds and statistics anymore as my husband was one of the men with a varicocele, then was one of the 1 in 100 men whose varicocele couldn't be embolised! Interestingly I'm feeling quite nauseous this morning from the HCG, a little taste of morning sickness! Good luck today with yours @acaciabluebell :)

Imisscoffee2021 · 28/08/2022 06:29

Hoping they're right! Sorry fast typing on phone on bus, so many typos

seekingbabyk · 28/08/2022 08:05

@AbsolutelyEverything my cycle length is 25 days so short and I'm past my ovulation day now and not triggering until Monday so it doesn't necessarily match your cycle as they control it with the meds.

@Imisscoffee2021 wow I never realised you would get a positive test from that! Sorry you're feeling sick - ciii you of be nerves and excitement about tomorrow too! Are you in london for your EC?

Imisscoffee2021 · 28/08/2022 08:08

@seekingbabyk I think its the HCG trigger, it's gone now thankfully but really nauseous this morning. I'm must nervous that I'll ovulate early now 😅 the actual EC compared will be a breeze if I just don't ovulate before it :) I'm in Surrey for mine, are you London?

seekingbabyk · 28/08/2022 08:11

@Imisscoffee2021 yes we are with London Womens Clinic so have managed to do all other appointments in Kent at smaller clinics but the EC and transfers have to be at Harley street clinic. Bit of a pain as I hate commuting but I think we may drive up Tuesday and park as after sedation and possibly sore I'm not sure I'll fancy getting on trains home.

seekingbabyk · 28/08/2022 19:05

Good luck tomorrow @Imisscoffee2021 - hope Everything goes smoothly and look forward to hearing how you got on

Imisscoffee2021 · 28/08/2022 19:23

@seekingbabyk thank you! I'm still paranoid I've ovukated as it was such a strong lh strip this morning, and I always ovulate 12 to 24 hours after a surge. Trying not to think of it, it feels different in there today, not the twinges I've had from stimming but I figure if I'd ovulated I'd feel it, as I feel one follicle every month, I'd definitely feel 9 or 10!

seekingbabyk · 28/08/2022 19:26

You'll be fine @Imisscoffee2021 they know what they're doing - I think both of us just have to put our trust in them lol! Yes you definitely would feel all of those

Imisscoffee2021 · 29/08/2022 10:38

Well I've had my egg collection! Got 7 eggs so better than my leading follicles of 5, so just waiting to tomorrow tonsee if they were mature and how many fertilised. Any questions about it do ask :)

seekingbabyk · 29/08/2022 10:39

@Imisscoffee2021 wow that's great well done! I thought you would be out of it until later! How are you feeling?

Imisscoffee2021 · 29/08/2022 10:46

Definitely groggy! Was a lovely sleep, worked right away, as the big white syringe was being plunged they lowered my bed back and I said to the anaesthetist oh it's working and that's the last thing I remember 😅 feeling a bit sore when moving down there and a bit of blood, as they do puncture the walls of the vagina so understandable! Happy with 7, obviously would rather more than ten but it's our first round and my antral follicle count was 11 so it's a good response to that.

seekingbabyk · 29/08/2022 10:55

@Imisscoffee2021 it only takes one though ultimately doesn't it! That could be enough. I'll keep everything crossed for your little eggs :) at least you have nice bank holiday to chill and relax - I think most things I read said the following day you should be much better

Imisscoffee2021 · 29/08/2022 11:20

Yeah fingers crossed, we're taking this as a learning cycle anyway as my husbands MFI means we aren't sure how his sperm will be anyway, so not too stressed as we have another paid for already and then two NHS rounds once we get through thise referrals:) I'm back at work tomorrow so going to enjoy a bed day! Are you still triggering tomorrow?

seekingbabyk · 29/08/2022 11:37

@Imisscoffee2021 triggering tonight at 10pm -last Menopur and fermadel this morning which felt weird. Glad for a day off tomorrow and I can't wait to get back to some normality by the weekend. It's not been the medication or anything but the anxiety is really a killer for me! Just need this out of the way now lol. Are you transferring this month too? If so are you starting progesterone today?

Imisscoffee2021 · 29/08/2022 11:46

@seekingbabyk if we get any 5 day blasts should be transferring on Saturday :) yeah starting pessaries this evening, 2 at once which seemed a bit much but I'll follow their instructions to a T as its been good so far! How exciting to be triggering, not long now!

seekingbabyk · 29/08/2022 11:48

@Imisscoffee2021 yes it is exciting too. I keep thinking should we transfer and then talking myself out of it. Will all depend how I feel on Wednesday. I think @acaciabluebell retrieval is tomorrow?

acaciabluebell · 29/08/2022 17:27

Hey guys! @Imisscoffee2021 so happy to hear your EC went well!! 7 eggs is great! Now time for you to rest up and take it easy.

I've got to go into clinic at 7:30am tomorrow morning, which means a super early start of 5:30am for me! I really enjoyed my lie in this morning with no Fyremwdel for the first time in ages!

I've been soooo anxious all day today. I don't feel any symptoms which is making me so worried about ovulating prematurely. I know the likelihood is so low but I can't stop thinking about it.

I also feel so sad to not be transferring 😔 but I have to keep reminding myself that it would be a nightmare with work anyway. The transfer would be on my first day of my new job which is not ideal.

@seekingbabyk good luck with trigger tonight! Are you triggering with Ovitrelle? I also tested out my trigger this morning and saw a blazing positive hpt lol!

seekingbabyk · 29/08/2022 17:36

@acaciabluebell yes ovitrelle tonight - the pen looks daunting but luckily hubby has dealt with every jab and all medication (wanted him to feel a big part of this process) so will leave it to him. At least it's the last one. It's nice to have the shelf in my fridge back too :)

Wow that's an early start tomorrow you'll be all done by time I wake up! I hope everything goes smoothly for you - I think anxiety/nerves the day(s) before is completely normal especially when your hormones are all over the place. Good luck! Let us know how you get on x

Imisscoffee2021 · 29/08/2022 18:19

@acaciabluebell I had to be in for the same time though my trigger was at 20:40 Saturday so I didn't go to the collection theatre til about 9ish, that was such a long wait! There's a bus strike here so had to get a taxi too and was a paranoid we'd be late so got it far too early, was waiting outside the clinic half hour before it opened like eager beavers 🤣

I was so scared all day Sunday that I'd ovulate early and was fine so try not to worry, easier said than fine but they really do know what they're doing :)

I was also relieved that they sedate you before anything so they put you in stirrups and take the blankets off and gown up from you after you're already asleep, as there's about 4 people in the room and although it's second nature to have someone exploring their these days it was a bit too many for comfort 😅 thankfully I fell asleep literally in seconds, was bizarre.

Best of luck tomorrow and you too @seekingbabyk with your trigger! It's bizarre finally seeing a positive pregnancy test isn't it?hope I see a real one soon x

seekingbabyk · 29/08/2022 18:41

@Imisscoffee2021 oh I'm glad you told me that I thought it might be overwhelming with them all kitted up!

Our EC is booked for 10 and they told us to get there at 9.30! Same as you though I'm sure we'll be super early.

At this point we may as well broadcast it live for how many people have now seen down there!

They told me I have to put two tablets in my bum too - did you have that? Sorry if asking tmi

Imisscoffee2021 · 29/08/2022 18:47

@seekingbabyk I have to use two progesterone pessaries nught and morning, the first ones being tonight. Are you taking them in case you do a fresh transfer? I didn't have to use any until after egg collection, and mine are utrogestan so they're used vaginally not rectally, I think cyclogest can be either. When the nurse said two pessaries I cringed as I'm so sore there today but they're so small, I imagined them about half tampon size 😅

The only bit I was really worried about was the cannula going in and it was fine, didn't really hurt more than a blood draw, and I could feel the sting of the sedative going in the veins of my wrist but within 10 seconds of him pressing the syringe I was completely out, felt it working immediately.

seekingbabyk · 29/08/2022 19:15

@Imisscoffee2021 no these are for the op - one is an antibiotic and one is a pain killer. Apparently you can choose to put them in yourself before EC or doctor will do it during procedure.

I have utrogestan for progesterone. 3 per day I think starting night of EC if we want to do a transfer. I'll just see how I'm feeling on Wednesday. Because we are still looking for a house to move into it wouldn't be the best choice but a bit of me is just thinking go for it - if I'm feeling really rough I will probably take a few weeks to heal etc

Such bad mood swings today - I've never known anything like it - going from pure rage to sobbing - did either of you have that?

Imisscoffee2021 · 29/08/2022 19:24

@seekingbabyk I didn't have anger but I definitely was more mentioned. I don't really get PMS so wasn't used to it, but watching films with vaguely sad moments had me tearing up under the least provocation! I think the nurse said they gave me antibiotics and painkillers when I was sedated, hopefully not rectally 🤣 I'm sure it was intravenously!

seekingbabyk · 29/08/2022 19:33

@Imisscoffee2021 hope your soreness is gone tomorrow :)

acaciabluebell · 30/08/2022 06:41

Today's the day... Hoping for some good eggies 🤞🏽
