Hi ladies! 👋
Just as the post says... cycle day 1 of my first IVF round, 20 days until I start Norethisterone then Menopur & Fyremadel.
Looking for others starting cycle or in the cycle for some company.
Sending lots of luck to you all! ❤️

Too old to qualify for it, not quality!

Imisscoffee2021 · 30/10/2022 20:03

Hi @Decaffe , I hope they dint make you wait another month! So much of this is a waiting game, I think that's the worst but, I'd happily inject daily if I could as it feels like I'm doing something!

I'm currently 3pp5dt and other than some twinges and mild cramling yesterday, had nothing today. I was at work today though but took it VERY easy, mostly sitting down, but came home and had slightly stronger cramping, and then a little bit if pink cm when I wiped:( feeling really down that I have a bit of spotting this cycle when I had none on the fresh, and I'm taking so much progesterone! Really hope the cramping isn't my period coming early 🤞

Hope everyone else is doing well at their varying stages :) x

Tinkerbell098 · 31/10/2022 17:00

@Decaffe fingers crossed you can have your transfer soon and they won't make you wait an extra month! good luck with the appointment this week X

@Imisscoffee2021 how are you today? pink CM and cramping are normal I believe, so don't read too much into it. I know it doesn't help that early pregnancy symptoms are so similar to pre AF symptoms, and on top of that the progesterone side effects. It's such a waiting game. I've got everything crossed for you X

My hCG today is down to 32, and I was told to take a test next week and let them know if it's still positive. Hope it won't be and I can get my cycles back. I have also started to bleed this afternoon. A lot of cramping, so currently hugging a hot water bottle. I expect this period to be quite heavy, as my lining was 22 mm last week, so got all that to shed. I'm glad there won't be any further complications and I can move on from here.

MinBins · 31/10/2022 22:47

Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you @Imisscoffee2021!

I hope you don't have to wait another month @Decaffe. Oh the testing and wondering if we should try another day - know that feeling too well! Hope it works out for you!

I'm okay - thank you for asking! I've been staying healthy (if we exclude this weekend of Halloween 😂) keeping my mind positive till our cycle after the next one. I have high BP so staying healthy is my way to keep it stable in the run up to next attempt. Something I didn't feel I was able to properly do before we started our stims. So staying positive!

We have the follow up chat on Saturday with the clinic. The stims produced two eggs before we stopped the injections, and after nearly two years of constantly monitoring ovulation, i lowkey had (silly) thoughts I was squandering them. 🙈

Hope you're okay - and that you're able to go ahead when you're planning to. X

Imisscoffee2021 · 01/11/2022 06:39

@Tinkerbell098 I hope your period isn't too awful, like you say its good that your body is doing it all and they didn't need to intervene, and that hcg is dropping on its own xx

@MinBins it's understandable how you felt about those eggs! We tried in the cycle between ivf cycles, in the small hope we'd just miraculously catch! What's the next step for you?

seekingbabyk · 01/11/2022 09:21

@Imisscoffee2021 definitely can be a good sign to have some twinges! Keeping everything crossed for you - really hoping for some more success on this forum!

@Tinkerbell098 that's fantastic news - really glad it's all going the right way for you and I hope the next few days aren't too bad with the cramps and bleeding!

@Spin101 - how did your EC go? Are you transferring?

@MinBins it's such a rollercoaster all of this - try to stay positive. Once you've been through a round of jabs, scans, procedures it's really hard to go back to normal life without that but take the small wins like a glass of wine, exercise, etc x

MinBins · 01/11/2022 10:34

Thanks @seekingbabyk and @Imisscoffee2021 - next steps I start it all again around Dec now with different meds. I have a chat with the clinic to see what they're recommending. I'm waiting for my period at the moment, it hasn't arrived but hoping it does this week. Then I begin next month at the start of the next cycle (approx Dec).

Definitely agree with staying positive! And it being a rollercoaster. In other news I was due to move house in Dec also but luckily the build of our next house has been delayed by months. Think they were surprised by me being happy to hear it was delayed 😂

seekingbabyk · 01/11/2022 12:06

@MinBins oh no it's a pain when things are delayed but at least you have some time now to prepare and relax! Definitely wouldn't want to move whilst stimming but also said to hubby when we moved last week I don't know what we would have done if it worked in September as i did so much lifting and carrying stuff he would have had a much heavier workload!

Spin101 · 01/11/2022 17:06

Hi ladies, I hope you’re all doing well. @Tinkerbell098 @Decaffe @seekingbabyk thank you for your kind messages. EC went well, thank you - I felt weird sensations for a few days after. The doctor has said I can’t have a fresh transfer as my lining was too thin (4mm ish). This has always been an issue for me due to PCOS. I’ve spent the last few days trying to work out how I can naturally improve it and not be solely dependent on the estrogen ahead of FET, if any of my embryos get to that stage. Any recommendations? There are so many supplements out there it’s very overwhelming!

@Decaffe hope they can do another cycle on the NHS again!

@Imisscoffee2021 hope you’re feeling well after FET

@Tinkerbell098 i hope you’re ok and not having severe cramps!

@seekingbabyk I don’t think I scrolled back far enough to see your updates. How are you doing?

seekingbabyk · 01/11/2022 22:20

@Spin101 I'm glad EC went well. Apparently there's a higher success rate with a FET anyway as your body has recovered so hopefully that will work out well for you! I wish I glad waited! When you do find out about the embryos?

I have stims being delivered tomorrow and just waiting for AF to show to start again. Provisionally booked for baseline for 8th so next week. Excited to get started :)

Spin101 · 02/11/2022 15:53

@seekingbabyk that’s great! 😊 really happy to hear you can start soon!

So here are my numbers:
AFC 30 on day 1
AFC dropped to 25 on day 8
15 eggs collected
10 fertilised
4 embryos frozen today
they will decide tomorrow whether any more are suitable for freezing

isnt it so crazy how the numbers drop off?! I’m very pleased to have 4 in the freezer

Imisscoffee2021 · 02/11/2022 16:04

That's a fab number @Spin101 :) really 4 is great to have in the frosty bank!

Spin101 · 02/11/2022 16:07

@Imisscoffee2021 thank you :) how are you feeling?

Imisscoffee2021 · 02/11/2022 16:10

I'm having a rollercoaster on this TWW. After cramping Sunday night and that little bit of light pink spotting, I did a test on Monday morning and got a faint faint squinter. I've had cramps on the right side since and some light nausea, and got a true bfp day after. I had a headache and serious right sided back pain last night, and today I've woken up to no syntpoms at all, after waking up with nausea daily. I still have a good line but I just feel something has changed, the same way I felt something had happened on Sunday night. I had a some brown on a wipe this afternoon too, in the cm. I just went to a private clinic to get HCG tested as I'm visiting family, even just to give the ivf clinic a full picture of this cycle, but feeling worried not to feel any cramling and nausea today. I tried not to let myself get excited but couldn't help day dreaming going to bed last night :( dreading another test tomorrow and so glad I kept it a secret and didn't tell hubby, just in case! I'm still hoping everything's fine but hard to feel positive atm!

Spin101 · 02/11/2022 16:32

Awwww I’m so sorry! It really is a rollercoaster. Hope your levels come back fine! Could it have been implantation nausea you were feeling and now things have settled? x

Decaffe · 02/11/2022 16:59

Four is a brilliant number, well done @Spin101!

@Imisscoffee2021 I am keeping everything crossed for you!

I have just had my post-cycle consultation. Wow. Fantastic guy. A lot to take in. Essentially:

  • He completely understood my worries about missing the boat in regard to potentially turning 40 before my second round
  • I can have a scan this week to see if I did indeed ovulate last week (and I missed the LH surge)
  • If I have ovulated, all is ok for a FET next cycle
  • If I haven't ovulated, then I can choose to have a natural FET this cycle!

However, the main thing, is that after the best part of a decade of banging on the doors of GPs, saying I think my thyroid test results are too low, reminding them I have a goitre, but getting nowhere... He has said my TSH is too low! It should be 1-2.5 for conception and implantation. He wants me to be referred to an endocrinologist, get a full thyroid blood workup etc.... leading to...

  • Relief someone is finally taking me seriously
  • Wishing GPs had acknowledged me years ago
  • Kinda wishing this had been spotted before my first round??
  • Worries about the timing of all this - potentially we just have to visit a private endocrinologist and put it on a credit card.

Rollercoaster indeed!

Imisscoffee2021 · 02/11/2022 19:29

@Decaffe what a relief to find a practitioner who listens to your individual needs! A shame it can be rare, got high hopes for your next cycle xx

Imisscoffee2021 · 02/11/2022 21:02

Kind of npt letting myself believe it but this is the furthest I've ever got with TTC! I'm visiting my folks so having to be super sneaky about testing, but this is just now and not on a hold so hoping the fella is hanging on in there despite symtpoms completely going and some brown spotting today 🤞

Apologies for copious typos, I disabled auto correct as I do duolingo on my phone and it makes me a very sloppy thumb typer!

MinBins · 02/11/2022 21:17

@Imisscoffee2021 congratulationssss! I'll keep both fingers and toes crossed, amazing news!

I think dark brown spotting could be old blood exiting the body. Hope you're able to relax and take it easy over the next days.

@Decaffe glad you're being listened to, must be a relief and a step closer to getting a better understanding. What will the timelines be?

@Spin101 those are great numbers! 4 frozen embryos sound really promising! What is AFC if you don't mind me asking - Is it the follicle count?

seekingbabyk · 02/11/2022 21:33

@Imisscoffee2021 wow this sounds so promising! Really hoping it sticks for you! When is OTD?

@Decaffe that's great news! Are you private or nhs?

seekingbabyk · 02/11/2022 21:34

@Spin101 I would be over the moon with 4 frozen! That's fantastic and definitely takes the pressure off for the future too!

Imisscoffee2021 · 02/11/2022 21:36

@seekingbabyk otd is 7th Nov, Monday. I'm probably sounding really neurotic but I just can't be relaxed after such a long journey TTC, going to take it a day at a time x

seekingbabyk · 03/11/2022 00:13

@Imisscoffee2021 listen if anyone understands the complete chaos that comes with this journey it's this group on here lol! We'd all be exactly the same no doubt! I don't even know what I'd do if I had a test showing 1-2 weeks! Just try to stay positive and trust the universe x

Imisscoffee2021 · 03/11/2022 01:53

@seekingbabyk true! It's great to have this group as a place to share worries! I'm up at this hour as woken up with AF type cramps, just done a FRER andbits definitely fainter than it was yesterday, so think this may be a chemical sadly. Feel strangely distant from it as I've tried not to count my chickens, but I'm sure it'll hit in next few days how close we came to it this time :(
