IVF - Stims Aug - Egg Collection Sep

Just as the post says... cycle day 1 of my first IVF round, 20 days until I start Norethisterone then Menopur & Fyremadel.
Looking for others starting cycle or in the cycle for some company.

@Imisscoffee2021 to be honest, I feel like I’m still in limbo. Zero symptoms, tests not ridiculously dark yet (CB digital still says 1-2 weeks- I’m now 5+4), and still think blood hCG levels last week were quite low. Trying to stay positive until the scan which is in 2 weeks time.

@Imisscoffee2021 yeah it’s the same thing, I think I’ll do the same, take whatever I can to improve chances!

this morning I started bleeding again only light but bright red, so think my cycle is well and truly messed up lol. Did any of you have irregular bleeding after CP? Or I guess it could be progesterone withdrawal bleed as I stopped that a week ago today?

@tinkerbell098 fingers crossed just slow growing. Are you able to ask for another blood test to see if it is rising to put your mind more at ease? Hope the next two weeks go fast for you xx

@1stcycle I'm sorry I'm not really sure about the bleed, but it is possible it's due to progesterone withdrawal as you said. I did ring up GP to ask for another blood test last week but she just fobbed me off and said they don't do hCG bloods in "GP land". I looked into private, but it seems the blood tests are similar prices as early scans, so was tempted to do that instead. But also I think what if it's bad news, there's nothing I can do at the moment anyway, so just going to wait until the scan the clinic booked for me.

@tinkerbell098 yeah positive thoughts and at least when the scan is you would be nearly 8 weeks, if you went for an early one now and there wasn’t a heartbeat or something might worry you and it might just be too early to see one. When does the worry end eh?

Just a quick question, I have started my northisterone today and will be starting my injections next week.

I have seen a few posts about people testing pre transfer (during injections I think) can I ask what this is for please?

Anyones help would be great as I want to ensure I'm doing everything I can

Hey @MinBins , do you mean pregnancy testing? A few of us on here tested out our trigger after the hcg injection to mature the eggs in the follicles, so we could see when it faded and know that I'd we got a positive after it was hcg from a pregnancy and not from a trigger injection. I tested every day from day before egg collection onwards to see it fade x

How's everyone getting on? My little sister had her baby today, he's beautiful!so much love for the fella and only seen pics! I was hoping my first ivf transfer would work so I'd be pregnant when he was born but that was too optimistic! Feels like time has flown since she told me she was kregnant back in Feb, when we'd just found out about needing to have ivf to be able to have children. Funny old life sometimes! I have my first scan of this cycle tomorrow on what is ny nephews due date, maybe that's good luck!

I'm using the next 8 weeks to get a bit healthier in terms of food and being active - but aside from that just waiting for the next (proper) cycle now.

@MinBins oh yes sorry! Fast tagging 😅 such a good idea about getting fitter and healthier, makes me feel better about a cycle tha I've done everything I can, rest is up to chance :)

@Spin101 I'm just taking oestrogen 3 tines a day, so easy! Then I'm running alot and avoiding sugar as much as possible as clinic said vegetarians are more prone to higher insulin, and taking high dose vit d. I should ovulate tomorrow which will tally well with transfer day, though my clinic doesn't try and align them, they said they're controlling it with the meds but I don't believe much of that after I bled on progesterone last cycle!

@Imisscoffee2021 awwww congratulations on your new nephew! How lovely you all to have a little one to spoil! So excited for your transfer- have they given you a date yet?

@Tinkerbell098 how are you feeling? Any symptoms yet? Are your lines any darker now?

@seekingbabyk I tested on Wednesday, the lines look the same to be honest, but hasn't gone faint, just doesn't seem to get any darker. I'll do a CB digital again tomorrow as last week's one said 1-2 weeks, so hoping for at least a 2-3 tomorrow. No, still no symptoms. Meant to be 6 weeks today!

@Imisscoffee2021 congratulations on your new nephew! I bet you can’t wait to meet him. I know it is hard when everyone else around you falls pregnant. My husbands sisters are both pregnant with their second babies since we have been trying and mad to think we could also be on our second now. But just keep thinking WHEN it happens it will be perfect and worth all the wait!

my ovulation tests are look like they are peak today and estimated ovulation is Sunday so I don’t actually think my cycle has been messed up much. Had my bill for medication for next round in Jan and it’s £2120 so if I’m lucky enough to fall naturally before then it would save me that lol

@Tinkerbell098 6 weeks today! Mad how last 2 weeks have gone so fast (for me anyways) compared to the 2WW! Xx

Thanks for well wishes for nephew everyone:) I had my first scan for FET today, lining 9.1 which is good to go ahead with transfer on 27th :) I also talked about my low progesterone with the nurse and she went and asked the consultant if I can have an earlier blood test to then give me more time to get more with injections and I'm having one a few days earlier :) I like my clinic but I feel like their attention to details isn't great, I told them before the fresh I spot between periods and have low progesterone and the nurse said there wasn't anything in my notes!! Hopefully this is my lucky cycle 🤞

@1stcycle we thought the same about our costs when we were trying naturally for last time before ivf, so many stories of people falling the month before! Glad your cycles are nice and normal :)

@Imisscoffee2021 really happy you’re looking good for transfer next week! Also I find that as good as a clinic/nurses/doctors might be, when they see so many patients it’s easy for them to miss some details. So it’s really important to ask questions which I’m glad you did. It’s so important for peace of mind too. It’s good they mentioned injections to top you up if you need it!

@Tinkerbell098 that's great you still have two lines. When is your scan? Hopefully you'll just be the lucky person who doesn't get any sickness of tiredness and before you know it you'll be in the second trimester!

@seekingbabyk Done another CB digital today and still says 1-2 weeks. Lines aren’t really progressing either. Can’t help but think something is definitely wrong.

Girls I’ve just been for a private scan as deep down I knew something wasn’t right with the not so strong test lines and the 1-2 weeks on CB. They couldn’t find anything. I am classed “pregnancy of unknown location”. They’re going to refer me to the hospital tomorrow hoping to get someone to see me urgently as they suspect ectopic. I’m so sad and so worried. Why is this whole journey so cruel??

Oh no @Tinkerbell098 I'm so sorry! Absolutely gutted for you.

Don't get too upset about the ectopic bit. I had one and it was fine - hardly any symptoms, I had a methotrexate jab which means you can't ttc for 3 months but it was all resolved with that within a week. No operating, no tube loss and no side effects. It can be dangerous but also can be resolved easily if it is that too. Just make sure if you do feel unwell or in pain you go straight to a&e.
