Hi ladies! 👋
Just as the post says... cycle day 1 of my first IVF round, 20 days until I start Norethisterone then Menopur & Fyremadel.
Looking for others starting cycle or in the cycle for some company.
Sending lots of luck to you all! ❤️

@Imisscoffee2021 yes, think I'm starting to feel the "fullness" definitely.

@seekingbabyk ah great you stopped the pessaries, hope you are feeling better now. I'm on 300 menopur so I'm probably feeling extra effects. Good luck for bloods tomorrow and hope you get to have a productive conversation with the consultant.

Imisscoffee2021 · 14/09/2022 17:43

@seekingbabyk it's great you get a blood test, my clinic don't offer them. Was my OTD today and spoke to clinic about the negative, and already have a phone consultation with the Dr on Tuesday. Should be good to go ahead on next period which is mid October, so I'm glad it's just next month and not a long wait. Watching the embryo implantation video they sent me though as part of consents for next steps was worrying me as it went into detail about chromosomally abnormal embryos and how they partially implant but ultimately fail etc, so hope our first was a one off or we'll have to PGTA test the other four after this one. One step at a time!

seekingbabyk · 14/09/2022 19:35

Thanks @Tinkerbell098 and I hope your stims all go smoothly. I held an ice pack in the area for ten mins before and never felt a thing. Also lived in baggy clothes for two weeks - the bloat gets quite bad towards the end!

@Imisscoffee2021 did you just have a normal period once you started bleeding properly? We are going away this weekend for a couple of nights and just wondering if I should be taking paracetamol and a hot water bottle or was it just normal?

seekingbabyk · 14/09/2022 19:48

@Imisscoffee2021 sorry I missed your last comment too. Yes they've been pretty good at our clinic I must say.

That's AMAZING if you can go again in October! I have everything crossed for you this time. You know it could be anything that caused it not to stick this time - I feel like with all the meds it's a lot for your body to deal with and then to try to grow a baby too it's a lot. Hoping you have more luck with your frozen ones x

Imisscoffee2021 · 14/09/2022 20:38

@seekingbabyk it's a true period but I had more nausea and headaches than I'd usually get on a period, think my hormones were powerful this month with everything! Spotting on Saturday, light period Sunday, heavy Monday and Tuesday and medium today so expecting light last day tomorrow. I've had no cramps wierdly though, I usually have some but I only had some strong ones on Saturday when I was spotting, so paracetamol has just been for the throbbing headache! Have a lovely few nights away, are you going far?

seekingbabyk · 14/09/2022 20:49

@Imisscoffee2021 awww thanks just down to Dorset until Monday I think we need to regroup and just be us away from the stress of moving and ivf for a few days.

Ah that's good then hopefully will be over the worst of it by Friday. Very crampy and heavy now but that's normal first couple of days for me.

Imisscoffee2021 · 14/09/2022 21:01

I love Dorset ❤️ have a fab time with your hubby, well deserved rest! I'm going to see my little sister who is due her baby boy October 21st with my weekend, she lives miles away so staying a few nights. Its partly the reason I made myself wash off this failed cycle faster as I need to keep her lovely pregnancy and my impending gorgeous nephew separate from my trials for a child, and knew I'd be going this weekend.
I do sometimes have a sliding doors thought of hmm imagine if I was pregnant today etc, inevitable!

seekingbabyk · 14/09/2022 21:11

@Imisscoffee2021 us too! When we booked we were kind of thinking we might be pregnant there so that's a bit crap but I'm so glad we have this to look forward to now.

Oh that's really tough. When we originally started trying 6 years ago (on and off since then) my sister said she would too and we had visions of being pregnant together, etc. she's now got 2 kids and we're still trying to get one! Obviously I love her and them immensely and it's all fine but sometimes it's hard. Especially if she's having a rough day with them and having a moan it's so hard to not say "do you know how lucky you are".

Our day will come and hopefully soon x

Tinkerbell098 · 14/09/2022 21:15

@seekingbabyk have a fab time in Dorset. We are going down to Bournemouth on Sunday. Weather’s meant to stay nice. We also needed to get away for a bit from everyone and everything and since I have no appointments until Wednesday next week, took the opportunity.

@Imisscoffee2021 Hope you have a lovely time with your sister ❤️

seekingbabyk · 14/09/2022 21:18

@Tinkerbell098 oh lovely I don't blame you for doing that and in hindsight wish we'd have had a little break but didn't know how I'd be feeling. I think about the ivf abroad sometimes too must be nice having it tied in with a holiday although for his bloated i was probably wouldn't have fancied swim wear 😂😂

Decaffe · 19/09/2022 09:33

I’ve just been searching for 30 mins to find this thread! Why did they take away the decent search function?!

Anyway, today is cycle day 1 for me. I have a day 5 scan booked in for Friday and will be starting the Bemfola tomorrow.

Can’t actually believe it’s come to this and yet at the same time I knew deep down it would (I got the ball rolling with my GP after just three months, I just knew).

Is anyone else starting a new cycle soon? 💐

Tinkerbell098 · 19/09/2022 11:26

@Decaffe I’m in the middle of a fresh cycle on day 8 of stims now. First scan is on Wednesday morning.

@Imisscoffee2021 @seekingbabyk i know it’s TMI but did you get a lot of CM during stims? It’s unstoppable! As if my body’s been trying to ovulate for a whole week!

Imisscoffee2021 · 19/09/2022 11:49

@Tinkerbell098 yes I had tons of cm! It's all that estrogen from those developing follicles, a good sign!

@Decaffe congratulations to be on your journey! I felt the same, felt like a parallel universe when I found myself sat in an Ivf clinic waiting room! But it feels so good to be doing something, I felt so powerless naturally TTC and after the devastation of finding out our MFI cause it was almost a relief to know why and that we could do something about it! Xx

seekingbabyk · 19/09/2022 17:12

@Tinkerbell098 yes I definitely did too it was a LOT! How are you feeling now after a few more days of stims?

@Decaffe awww that's exciting! Hope everything goes smoothly for you! You should be able to pin/favourite this thread so you don't lose it 😊

We had our bloods back Friday which were negative as expected. Consultant wants us to wait a month so now looking at October before next round but we will have a meeting first to talk about what we can change to have a better result. We are planning on two rounds of stims first to get as many as possible in the bank 🤞🏻🤞🏻 so hopefully November and January! Feeling jealous I can't go again in October but thinking it'll be good for my body to have a month off!

@Imisscoffee2021 how was your weekend with your sister?

Imisscoffee2021 · 19/09/2022 17:16

@seekingbabyk it was lovely thanks! Had a few whiskies and a jog in the countryside, things I've missed while being on stims! Back to no alcohol and coffee after today though to prep for FET next month. My sister looks ready to pop bless her, she's got another month though! How was Dorset? X

seekingbabyk · 19/09/2022 17:20

@Imisscoffee2021 yes lovely thanks and definitely needed. Hormones all over the place over the weekend though I've gone from laughing to sobbing - never ever been like that either. Also had a few glasses of wine but actually feeling like I missed the last 5 sober weeks so going to keep that to a minimum now. Done a healthy food shop to be delivered tomorrow and ready to get myself feeling a bit better and get some veggies and exercise back in too! We had some lovely hikes whilst away and it felt so good to be moving again rather than constant rest which I'm sure you have the same! Oh bless her - when is she due?

Imisscoffee2021 · 19/09/2022 18:32

@seekingbabyk so true about movement, I had a really physical day at work on OTD when I knew I wasn't pregnant and it was so good to move like my old self again, and be aching the next day! She's due late October with her boy, was lovely to see all his little outfits and things, she's got everything set up for him, his cot and a nursing chair etc, but I'm flying up to meet him when he arrives, been on the trains 6 hours and still not home yet today!

I feel the same about alcohol, it was a lovely treat but really don't need it in my life, same with caffienated coffee!

It's great you don't have too long a wait for stims, I've read some clinics like to wait 3 months, be great to get another round in before Christmas!

seekingbabyk · 19/09/2022 18:38

@Imisscoffee2021 oh no that sucks being that far from them! Awww it's lovely watching them so excited isn't it. I'm sure you'll be joining her soon!

Yes definitely nice to get a sweat on and get a nice step count in!

Imisscoffee2021 · 19/09/2022 18:59

@seekingbabyk ah we've been miles away since I was 18, I moved from the North to London for uni and never went back to live, she studied in the North but not our home town and then lived all over, including overseas for a year, so my poor mam has had to get used to us being hundreds of miles apart for 15 years :) it's good quality time when we do see each other though. Can't wait to be an auntie, not long now 🥰

seekingbabyk · 19/09/2022 19:34

@Imisscoffee2021 awww yeah I can imagine. I see my sister at least once a week but I feel like we take it for granted so it must be lovely to actually have quality time together. Nowadays though with things like FaceTime and social media it's a lot easier living apart

KateAlva · 20/09/2022 22:25

Hi all, my fresh transfer was 10 days ago, and I'm feeling extremely bloated, but the concerning part is that my skin feels extremely tight across my stomach. It hurts to stand up straight, to bend, to turn etc. Does anyone know of this is normal or is something potentially wrong? I feel like it's not worth taking painkillers as it's not a constant pain, just whenever I do one of the above movements.

seekingbabyk · 20/09/2022 22:30

I honestly have no idea @KateAlva - could you call the clinic tomorrow? Have you tested yet? I would think you'd see a result by now x

KateAlva · 20/09/2022 23:07

I tested yesterday and saw a faint line. Today I did a digital and that one was positive...but my husband thinks because OTD is Friday that we can't celebrate just yet as it could be HCG from the treatment? I used Gonasi on the day of egg collection and that was my last injection (15 days ago).

I've unfortunately rarely have any luck getting a call back from my NHS clinic, but might go to a walk-in centre just for a check there is no infection. I guess they're due to call me on Friday anyway for the official results, so fingers crossed I can hold off until then and just try to limit movement to what's comfortable...a good excuse to be waited on 😁

Tinkerbell098 · 21/09/2022 10:29

@KateAlva doubt the trigger is still in your system. I'd say you are pregnant! Good luck for OTD and hope you get to talk to your clinic soon!

Tinkerbell098 · 21/09/2022 10:31

I've just been for a scan this morning and I am triggering tonight ladies!!! There are 6 in the 15-17mm range and 2 in 18-20 mm range and 6 in the 12 and below range, so doubt they'll catch up. Hopefully I will get at least 8 from that lot.
