Hi ladies! 👋
Just as the post says... cycle day 1 of my first IVF round, 20 days until I start Norethisterone then Menopur & Fyremadel.
Looking for others starting cycle or in the cycle for some company.
Sending lots of luck to you all! ❤️

@Imisscoffee2021 aww I’m so sorry! I’m still keeping my fingers crossed for you X

seekingbabyk · 10/09/2022 20:09

@Imisscoffee2021 and they're so expensive too. Will you go straight in on next cycle with a FET if it hasn't worked?

Imisscoffee2021 · 10/09/2022 20:20

@seekingbabyk depends what clinic say, I'm ready to though 100%

@Tinkerbell098 thank you! It's OK, as much as we would have loved a fjrst cycle success story we've had too many knocks to really believe it would be the case, so we're OK:) x

seekingbabyk · 11/09/2022 09:48

@Imisscoffee2021 had some spotting this morning- not reading too much into it. Headache has gone though thank god - it was unrelenting yesterday!

Imisscoffee2021 · 11/09/2022 11:02

@seekingbabyk Hope it's just implantation you're a few days behind me so its right on time for that! I've started bleeding properly so game over for this cycle, was due on until 14th really so not sure what brings on early bleeding, I'll call my clinic tomorrow. In the mean time in researching medicated versus natural FETs, have to look ahead or I'll feel massively disappointed! I tentatively think the embryo tried to implant on this cycle, I certainly had sharp pains and then slowly darkening tests but never an overt positive. Fingers amd toes crossed for you that this is your BFP! X

seekingbabyk · 11/09/2022 11:24

@Imisscoffee2021 oh I'm so sorry! Are you still going to take progesterone until you speak to them tomorrow? Could be a chemical too. Sending big hugs x

Imisscoffee2021 · 11/09/2022 11:37

Not sure, I upped my progesterone without asking yesterday, and didn't slow anything down so probably will do the two tonight and then call the nurse line in the morning. Be good to just close the door on this one with what weve learned and look to the future, and I can go for a jog again and work on my allotment in the meantime, its hideously neglected lately because I've either been stimming or trying not to over exert after transfer! It's taught me not to get too attached to embryos too, getting the video of it developing from two cells you can't help get attached! Well I can't, I name plants though so it was inevitable 😅 my husband and I have had a good long talk about it this morning and feel better about things. I'm at work today, I work outdoors in my full time job in a really beautiful place so it's really uplifting and impossible to be grumpy as the seasons are changing, puts things into perspective a bit and brings a bit of peace to what is a bit of a sad day.

seekingbabyk · 11/09/2022 11:44

@Imisscoffee2021 awww I'm so sorry. You're really lucky to have a few frozen too - if this doesn't work for us there's no back up plan so would have to restart everything! It's a really beautiful day out today so glad you're outside enjoying some fresh air and sunshine x

Imisscoffee2021 · 11/09/2022 12:29

@seekingbabyk Thank you 🥰 Yeah we still see this first cycle as very successful, getting 6 to blast and 5 frozen. My husband thought the rest of the batch wouldn't work as first hadn't but I said if that was the rule then women wouldn't be successful on their frozen cycles, my friend had a natural pregnancy and miscarried at 6 weeks, it happens in nature too so he's required his thinking a bit and feels better. Hope you have a bfp from this one and don't have to stim again, but if you do at least you know you can make blasts :)

acaciabluebell · 11/09/2022 13:57

@Imisscoffee2021 So sorry to hear that you started bleeding, what dpt are you? Thankfully you have several more chances so hopefully one of them will be your forever baby xx

@seekingbabyk when is your OTD? Really hoping this is it for you!

So I started my withdrawal bleed from stims on Friday and its been quite heavy and painful and more crampy than my usual period. Tbh I was expecting it sooner, especially as they told me my lining was supposedly super thin, but I didn't bleed until 10 days after EC and its been quite a heavy period too.

Imisscoffee2021 · 11/09/2022 14:23

@acaciabluebell I was 7dp5dt when starting to spot yesterday and today first day of period! Felt the hormone shift a few days ago as i always do before period, and lots the orogesterone symtpoms. Odd to come on early while on progesterone though as I'm usually very regular with my periods, but I'll ask the nurses about it tomorrow. My lining was 10.6 on my day 9 stims scan so ny the time of transfer must have been good, wish they scanned it the day before transfer though!or during, my clinic doesn't do ultrasound guided transfers. I may ask for one this time just to check. I'm hoping a frozen cycle where I'm not full of meds and residuals is more successful. Looking at my cycle ahead if things aren't too messed up from stims I could in theory have another transfer at very end of Oct as that's two periods from now. Just have to recalibrate yet again! Are you looking like you'll do a frozen next month? Have your clinic told you medicated or natural?

seekingbabyk · 11/09/2022 15:23

@Imisscoffee2021 @acaciabluebell

So I think I'm out too ladies. Spotting turned pinker and have some period style cramps now too. Still could be nothing but thinking it's probably not our month x

Imisscoffee2021 · 11/09/2022 16:00

@seekingbabyk ah no I hope its not! It's very early for that, have you got an out of hours number you could call? Or take extra of your progesterone just in case? I did that yesterday, took 400 extra though didn't work for me but I'm further down the line. Have you taken an hpt just to check? In another group a lady has been bleeding and has a strong positive so is being monitored xx

seekingbabyk · 11/09/2022 16:13

@Imisscoffee2021 not done any tests yet but I might do one later and in the morning. Maybe I'll try that with the progesterone later. Will let you know how I get on x

Imisscoffee2021 · 11/09/2022 16:34

@seekingbabyk got everything crossed for you x

seekingbabyk · 11/09/2022 19:14

Thanks @Imisscoffee2021 - so spotting hasn't turned into anything. It's on and off too so just going to see what happens. Did a test which was negative but I'm only 6dpt and was at night and also had to chug water to poas so I don't think I expected anything else. Going to try to hold out a couple of days now and just keep going with the pessaries. Whatever is meant to be will be ❤️

Imisscoffee2021 · 11/09/2022 19:18

Couple of days you'll hopefully be holding a positive test, that could have been implantation @seekingbabyk ! Really wishing it is for you :)

seekingbabyk · 11/09/2022 19:19

@Imisscoffee2021 we will see but thank you for your positive thoughts. I think by the end of tomorrow I'll have a better idea x

acaciabluebell · 12/09/2022 10:28

@seekingbabyk got my fingers crossed for you lovely!! Still early on xx

@Imisscoffee2021 i have no idea, because I'm on NHS funding its a lot slower than private. I have to call up after my next period (due first week of October - but very likely it will be late as that seems to happen to most people) and organise another nurse consultation and see what happens from there. Hopefully will be able to do a transfer in November if all goes well

seekingbabyk · 12/09/2022 10:30

@acaciabluebell thank you. Still negative this morning and 7dpt today so not feeling hugely optimistic this morning but it's fine.

Wow that's still a way off I just assumed you would be transferring this month! Did you end up with two frozen in the end?

acaciabluebell · 12/09/2022 10:41

@seekingbabyk so sorry to hear. Its so hard going through so much and even with a great embryo it very often doesn't work first time. I think 3 genetically normal embryos is meant to give the best chance at 1 live birth, which is why the NICE guidelines say 3 rounds should be funded (in an ideal world).

Yeah, so for a FET you need to have a 'normal' period before starting, not just the withdrawal bleed from stims medications. It definitely feels like ages. Thankfully I've started my new job which is keeping me very busy so I'm not really thinking about it much! We only got one embryo in the end and none frozen so only one chance - so very nerve wracking.

seekingbabyk · 12/09/2022 10:46

@acaciabluebell aww I really feel for you - you're in the same position as we were so I really understand. FETs are meant to have a better success rate so I'll keep everything crossed for you! I feel ok about going forwards actually we just booked a weekend away this weekend so going to just look forward to that either way and try to take our minds off of this.

I think we might wait until after Christmas now before starting anything else purely because of moving and to let my body recover a bit from the meds, etc.

Imisscoffee2021 · 12/09/2022 10:47

@seekingbabyk sorry still seeing bfns, you never know thought. Are you still spotting?

I'm on a full blown period though doesn't seem as heavy as usual, which is odd as I usually have a light day, a heavy a medium or two and a light. Guess it's going to be wierd with stims. I rang clinic and they said still to test on 14th, which seems pointless, and I'm still getting faint pink lines on a frer so think it was a chemical but only just barely implanting maybe, I'm still testing to rule out an ectopic as I've read enough on those to scare me! So I'll do the test on Wed and hopefully then get the ball rolling to talk about next step, in an ideal world I'll have another period in mid Oct unless my cycles have been messed up, and a transfer at beginning Nov so might be similar to you @acaciabluebell !

seekingbabyk · 12/09/2022 10:51

@Imisscoffee2021 I wouldn't rule anything out yet though - if you're still getting light positives. I know quite a few people who carried on bleeding through pregnancy.

Yes still spotting nothing dramatic but will see what today brings. Our OTD isn't until Saturday so still got a long way to go (why is this two weeks so long!!)

Imisscoffee2021 · 12/09/2022 11:21

@seekingbabyk anything taking this long to implant wouldn't be viable i think so easier to just know its not successful for this one, you've got time for yours thats ages away! Still have hope we'll have a bfp in this group soon x
