Hey everyone.
So I’m just getting ready to start my second round of ICSI after suffering a MMC last Aug.
I have 2 more weeks of Norethisterone before I await the important bleed and then start my injections, yippee!

I was so chilled when I received my protocol and now I’m getting a little nervous as I know what’s to come. Unfortunately none of the embryos from our last round were high enough quality to freeze so we are starting from scratch. I’m preying for higher quality this time but I guess that’s out of our hands.

I wanted to start a thread as I know how helpful it was on my first round and it’s nice to know your not alone in what can seem like a very isolating process ❤️

It seems everyone is progressing well at the moment which is great!! @Glitterandunicorns I too didnt respond to gonal F at all. That was at 225 units. They could only find the one follicle at 18mm in the end so instead of cancelling my cycle they opted to give me a glimmer of hope with another iui. If this is unsuccessful I'm back in for medical review and most likely will be a missed cycle next time until they titrate or change my meds. Its like playing the lottery this whole fertility business. Wish you all the best for Monday. Fingers crossed they can go ahead 🤞

Not been on in a few days, trying to keep myself busy. With the nice weather i have been sprucing the garden and working on a little garden project for my rabbit (lol). Trying my best not to symptom spot but isnt it so hard? Was restless in bed last night, didnt drop off until around 3am, had sharp pains in my left side which was probably just gas 🤣 (here I am trying not to symptom spot but listing symptoms) MIND GAMES!!! Guys, does anyone else struggle with the progesterone supps? I was told I could use them either vaginally or rectally but they make me so itchy when I use them vaginally. (Tmi I know) I'm having to alternate but worry one route might be less effective? Absolutely awful things!

In terms of testing, absolutely no way will I be testing early at all. It winds me up and puts me on a downer every time but I guess that's because I've never ever seen a double line. Lost hope but hopeful if that makes sense 🤣

I'm 4dp5dt today and I've been naughty and started testing last night 🤭 I got a BFN yesterday night but a squinter of a line this morning but I'm being cautious in case it's my trigger still hanging around. I tested my trigger out after 9/10 days on my IUI cycle and it's day 11 today so I just hope the line gets darker tomorrow.

@Glitterandunicorns phew! That's amazing news, you must be relieved?! Because of your risk of OHSS do you know what they'll be triggering you with? I can't imagine it would be hCG. Just remember, the trigger allows the eggs to go through the final maturation process so even though they may not be where you want them to be right now, the trigger could be the final push they need. Good luck, I'm sure everything will work out!

@Girlwholifts I think not wanting to know the day 3 numbers is a good call because it really changes nothing. I don't think I benefited from my day 3 update in any way, I just wanted to skip to my final numbers. Sounds like everything is progressing well! All the best with tomorrow! How are you feeling?

@Hopefulthistime35 ugh I wish I was on progesterone that can be taken rectally. I've used cyclogest in the past and found it fine up the bum but I'm on utrogestan this cycle, which can only be taken vaginally, and it's making such a mess so I'm thinking of asking my clinic for cyclogest instead.

I'm trying not to symptom spot and I haven't really felt much. I had loads of cramps 1dp- and 2dpt5dt transfer, then felt absolutely nothing yesterday and today. My boobs were sore way before my egg collection so I can't even say that's a symptom, so really, I'm just here wishing the days away.

How did you find your IUI process? I never actually managed to get inseminated when I had mine because 99.6% of DH's sperm died during the washing process, like literally less than 200k survived 😂 madness.

@Girlwholifts ah that's fair enough about the update situation and good news they didn't call yesterday. I hope todays update goes well.

I'm going to try and avoid early testing as well. Booked in for transfer at 11.15am tomorrow eek!

Hey @unCliche Im feeing really good thank you. Just starting to get used to the bloating and sore boobs from the progesterone so all is well 🤣

@Hopefulthistime35 I too have an issue with using the pessaries vaginally so opt for rectal. I hate the thought of it but it works better for me. I also have gel which can only be used
vaginally so I feel it evens it out a little haha! Such messy little shits though, you would think there is a nicer/cleaner way to take progesterone!

I’ve had the call and I’m in tomorrow at noon for ET. They said they won’t look at the embryos until tomorrow morning but up until yesterday they all looked really good. As we know with IVF anything can change so I’m still protecting myself just incase of the worst, fingers crossed all well continue to be well 💛 sending hugs to you all!

@Hopefulthistime35 thank you. That's great that IUI was an option for you under the circumstances.

Symptom spotting drives you crazy doesn't it! I really hope it works out for you. Keeping yourself busy sounds like a great idea. I'm sure your rabbit will love it! They are such friendly creatures :-)

@unCliche that's a really helpful way to think about the trigger as giving them a little push! Thanks so much! I am feeling more positive about it now :-)
I'm not sure what trigger I'll be using yet; I'll find out at my scan tomorrow morning. I didn't think about the possibility of using a different trigger, but that absolutely makes sense. Frustrating though as I've already bought all my trigger stuff and progesterone last cycle when I got Covid and had to stop right before the trigger. Ah well, what will be will be!

I took progesterone vaginally on my first cycle. It does make a right mess doesn't it! @Hopefulthistime35 I read that it doesn't matter whether they're vaginal or rectal, but check with your clinic. The last thing you need at the moment is to be itchy after everything else we put our bodies through!

@unCliche I am 4dp5dt and going a little crazy already. Full of cold so don’t feel great either. That’s great that you have a line so early. I will probably start testing on Sunday. X

What do people think is the earliest I could test? My clinic have advised me to go in on Monday 16th (transfer was on the 4th) and the wait is driving me a bit crazy!

@TerrazzoChips My OTD is 11th May, which will be 9dp5dt so you could ask to be seen a few days earlier if you can.

I was finally brave enough to do a FRER. I still feel quite apathetic about the whole process so waiting for emotions to eventually kick in.

@unCliche congrats! How many days past transfer are you?

@TerrazzoChips Did you have a 5 day transfer? I know the wait is torturous isn't it!

I had to go in this morning for another scan and more blood tests. They've confirmed that I'm going to have to do a freeze-all as my oestrogen levels are way too high to risk a fresh transfer. It is a bit disappointing but better this way than to risk getting seriously ill. They'll do the transfer in a few months once my oestrogen levels are back down again.

I'll have collection on Monday so I'm doing the trigger shot tonight. I've already set an alarm; I'm permanently knackered with all these hormones and stuff so staying up til 22:00 for the trigger is going to be a challenge I think 😂

@Glitterandunicorns I'm so pleased you were able to get those extra couple of days! How are your follicles doing? A few additional days of stims were the difference between me getting one mature follicle and six and I'm glad my nurse didn't let me trigger early so hopefully now you'll have loads at decent sizes!

Sorry about the disappointment 😔 you're right, you don't want to be ill and it'll be better to have your body in the best possible state to be receptive to an embryo. I hope Monday comes round quickly for you 💕 If you need us to spam you with lots of messages at 10pm so you get lots of mumsnet notifications to keep you awake, let us know 😂

@Glitterandunicorns i had a 5 day fresh transfer map!

Hello, looking for some advice on Lubion… I’m having my 6th transfer next week and consultant said I can double my Lubion as I’ve been worried one isn’t enough. I took my first exactly at the time told today but when should I take the second daily dose. Those of you on two Lubions a day how do you time them and did you take two prior to FET or only after? Can you actually make your lining too thick with it? x

Morning so I'm 6dp5dt and tested with a FRER this morning. Dare not get too excited yet as had a chemical before but fingers crossed our last attempt works ❤️

@Sxd515 So transfer didn’t go as planned by any means 😩 Unfortunately the embryo quality wasn’t brilliant this round so they decided to do a double transfer to up our odds of success! I’m not going to lie, I’m not holding out much hope if I’m honest. The others left we’re not of good enough quality to freeze so we would have to have another full cycle if we go again. Pretty upset but not a lot I can do now. Trying to keep busy and get this TWW over.
How was your transfer? Praying you had a much better experience than me 💛

@Girlwholifts I'm sorry things didn't go as you hoped but keeping everything crossed for those two embryos for you! When is OTD?
Transfer went fine thank you. One transferred and one frozen. They kept an eye on our other two but rang this morning to say they didn't make it to blasto so they're out.

Trying to keep myself distracted before test day!

I managed to stay awake until 22:00 last night for the trigger by some miracle 😂 I felt absolutely awful last night; like I was going to throw up at any point. My stomach feels so bloated and uncomfortable that I felt like I wanted to unzip my skin to release the pressure (I am well aware that sounds insane!)
It feels a little less uncomfortable today though so that is positive.
I'm going in tomorrow bright and early for collection. I am praying that we get a good number and that they grow enough to be frozen given I can't have a transfer due to my oestrogen levels being ridiculously high.

@Girlwholifts Sorry to hear things didn't go as planned but you never know, those two little embryos may thrive inside your body much better than inside a lab and it may work out. I wish you all the luck in the world with how things progress over the next few days.

So I just couldn’t resist any longer (4 days post 5 day transfer) - I think I see a line… i tried to photograph it as best I could.

Now I’m just hoping and praying it isn’t a chemical…
